I installed a kernel which is not compatible with my phone. Now it stuck. I cannot turn on my phone. I tried everything on that is written on the forum. I tried volume key tricks everything. Non of them worked.

Installed a devil kernel without wiping the previous kernel (semaphore)now my phone is stuck on the turning on screen (the one with the GALAXY S symbole in white)and when i enter the recovery mode i cant wipe data/factory reset it says cant mount E: and stuff like that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a refurbished AT&T Galaxy S3 (i747) and it appears to have the T-Mobile (T999) bootloader for some reason.Putting a T-Mobile sim in registers on the network and for some reason I get H+, which I didn't think was possible with the I747 AT&T model. Don't have an AT&T sim to test with at the moment.I've tried flashing the I747 4.1.2 bootloader but I get different error messages depending on which recovery I use to flash it.
My primary concern right now is how can I fix this boot loader issue so I can get a more recent rom like AOKP 4.4 on it?
I deleted (accidentally) some system files, and then nothing happened, but i hit the restore or backup from setting and it went fine untill the loading screen, i mean it shut down then the first loading image fine and the next one doesn't load my system.. What can i do? (I think i know what software i shouldn't have deleted).

I checked my phone and under the Sync settings the contacts and Gmail is checked.

It onn's but the touch screen was "crazy" it was inverted, to push the button on the down left corner of the screen I must touch in the same spot in the upper right corner, to scroll home screen right I must slide my finger left e.t.c.

A while back I installed CM7 on my backflip when i still used to it (now have Atrix 2) , now I want to start modding it again but it wouldnt turn on, I left it charging for a while and it would just show the white M screen, then a black screen (which was still lit up) and then completely off, then again and again and again etc. on one of those boots i pressed the J and D on my keyboard and unplugged it from the wall and hooked it up to my computer, flashed RSD lite with 2.1 and now it sometimes makes it all the way booting up and after like using it for 5-10 seconds, bam, restarts, I think it is a problem with the software too not a battey issue ( i know the BF has an issue with the battery that makes it restart ), because when I booted up into recovery mode to do a factory reset the phone wouldn't restart like it would the other times, been trying to fix this for two days with two different batterys but sadly no success. I love my backflip and hope it isnt lost forever. Also when I boot it up after flashing with RSD lite it doesnt show me the android setup screen just normal 2.1 boot, then 5 seconds later restarts
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i decided to root my xperia tipo, and i did that, and I also did CWM recovery and right after, i tried to install a new ROM. I found some "Xperia Z Fire Series 5 XP [Tipo]" rom and followed the instructions from yt....backed up, wiped everything, wiped cach, wiped the cache in advanced ( cant remember the name ) and than I installed the rom from phone sd memory... it showed as if succesfully installed. Finally, the video guy says that i should reboot the device (the first option in boot window) and to wait as long as it takes.
So I did...I rebooted it and it just turned off...i left it whole night, hoping it will boot up eventually, but it didn't...After I realised it wont, i tried to turn it on, but when i hold the power button, it's just vibrating every few seconds for half a sec as if it will turn on, but it doesn't. The light doesn't turn on, nothing shows up on screen....when i push the volume down and power button at the same time, along with vibrating, the led light goes green every few seconds. When i put the charger in, it doesn't do anything. Only diffrence is that when i put it on the charger and than press volume down and power button, the led light turns green and it doesnt turn off untill i unplugg it. Is this what they meant when they said "bricked phone"?
I use latest Nova launcher (Premium) and CM11 (nightly). But the same happened with CM10 stable and nightlies.
When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.
Automatically add widgets checkbox is checked in the Play Store Settings.
I even reinstalled fully Nova. No success.
why Rom manager doesnt recognize the ClockWorkMod 5.0.0.8 installed on htc sensation 4G??? if i click download Rom or backup Rom it tells me that i need the clockworkmod installed first , but i already have it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a stock android 2.3.6 and here are the steps I tried:
- Unlocked my N1 (through fastboot)
- flashed the RA recovery image (through fastboot)
- Wiped the device.
- Copied the Evervolv-Perdo-2.2.0a5-passion-aroma.zip to the SD card
- Booted in recovery mode and installed Evervolv.
After reboot, the blue X animation just sits there rolling and rolling. It's been 25 minutes since I rebooted and the main screen doesn't show up.
How do you turn off just the phone so it doesn't it search? Am at church at no signal and I don't want to run down battery but I do have wi-fi.

But once I'm in a call, the standby button will not turn the screen on, and no matter how many times I button mash all the soft keys, I get no response. However if my phone is feeling good, it'll show me the screen for a split second before hiding it again! This is a huge problem, I have no idea what the problem could be, as the standby button works fine when not in a call.. Anyone know what would be the reason? (Keep in mind, my HTC is literally a day old in my hands).

Whenever I click the "Caches Nearby" button, it displays "Sorry, c:geo failed to download caches because of wrong login informations."
I have since been back to the geocaching website, have double-checked my credentials and re-entered my username and password into c:geo, but to no avail.
I bought this android tv box from ebay, and there was a weird UI and I decided to delete Launcher. so I deleted it and after it didnt get to the home screen, and then i closed it and re-opened it and then stucks in to the android silver logo and I wait but nothing happens. is there a way to reset it to the factory settings though my pc or something like that?

I know there is no update for my device (jellybean 4.2) but when I search for one it says I cant get one because my device is modified. I turned GPS on, opened Tinder, used it for few minutes, closed it and turned off GPS, removed Tinder from recent apps.
Next night, I see Tinder is the top battery consumer, with 1 day 9 hours of GPS use. GPS shows up as ON the entire time in the battery graph; while GPS tile is "off" in quick settings as well as locations services is also set to off.

I had seen exactly similar GPS hogging from Facebook and Maps too.
This exact same thing happens with Wi-Fi too. I had turned off Wi-Fi at night before going to sleep. But after returning from work the next day, I see in the battery graph that the Wi-Fi was on for the entire 17+ hours. And it still showed as "Off" in Quick settings tile and Wi-Fi settings page. The Wi-Fi definitely wasn't ON since as soon as I turned it on via QuickSetting tile, I got a flood of notifications. But there was considerable amount of battery drain, which is unusual when everything is off. Makes me think that the Wi-Fi was in fact ON. So, when I had turned Wi-Fi off at night, the phone only disconnected from the hotspot but still remained on.

Issue #64998 - The GPS bug was already reported by someone else in the Android project bug tracker. But it has low priority there and doesn't look like it will get addressed anytime soon.
Finally did the 2.2 root (whew!) but i totally forgot to choose a ROM so i'm stuck now lol. Fresh seems to be easily updated and has workign wimax from what i read but it also is still capped at 30fps. just wondering if i can install an uncapped kernel later on or if it all has to be done at the same time.

Most stuff is on my exsd, so I'm not too worried if I have to wipe it, but would prefer only to wipe it once everything is off. I'm rooted and have a custom stock based rom and cwm installed.
Is there any way of doing this? I have the lock pattern enabled so when I plug it in nothing shows up.
If not, then how would I wipe it?
I bought a bricked Bruneau tablet and wanted to stock flash it. But the "script" named folder that i put it on the sdcard was for other kind of wonder media processor. I have a WM8505+ procesor and the software was for WM8605. Now the tablet does not turn on, black screen, no sound nothing. I saw on other forums and youtube that i can shortcircuit 2 pins from a Samsung chip on tablet motherboard but it`s not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI did unrEVOked 3.21 and applied OMJ's 2.2 netarchy kernel ROM. I am not sure what my battery life was at this point but I was now on 2.2 after using eclair 2.1 for so long. I wanted to go to the new stock kernel so reupdated to OMJ's stock kernel 2.2 ROM. I also added back the Sprint TV Widget. Ever since, I have noticed a major drop in battery life. I usually get 30-40 hours on a single charge. Now I'm down to about 10. It is REALLY screwed up. I have CWM backups of all of the phases, including my 2.1 ROM. I might experiment rolling back if nobody else has any better ideas on how to debug?
I am using ATK but I make ATK kill itself so it is only there to help me kill procs. I noticed QIK and FRING seem to run all the time now whereas they didn't before I updated them. Not sure if that is related. TOP app shows me nothing special but system_server taking up most of the CPU like maybe 6% peaking while idling. Otherwise I just can't figure it out!! I used to be the one bragging about how awesome my battery has been (running original OTA1 which let me still use unrEVOked 1.0 to get simple root all this time). I am finally on 2.2 and I'm disappointed with battery life now. WiFi is WAY better but that is about it. My Nexus One does not suffer from 2.2 battery blues.
Okay, if I buy/install both of these with plans of OCing (using Stock kernel now)
what issues will they cause if installed with the Stock Kernel?
EDIT: Oh yeah, with TempMonitor work with AdamZ 5 slot Kernels?
I have a phone now it locked up because of too many wrong attempts so it's now asking to enter google username and password But guess what I am not connected to any WIFi and the phone is not on a data plan.
Is there a way i can bypass this?
