I just go my Sprint Hero on Sunday and it rocks! What's the must have Apps? Music? Sirius satellite radio? Photo�s? Also, my screen sometimes doesn't turn when I move the phone horizontally.

So last night I was riding in the car using my hero. All of a sudden 2 lines appeared across the screen horizontally about 1" up from bottom. Can't fix it. Tried a hard reset to factory and still there. Any suggestions? I am traveling in Chicago today so will find a sprint store for exchange. I have TEP. But at 2 days old should it just be swapped for a new one and not affect TEP?

View -1 Replies View RelatedSo I rooted my phone, did a nanodroid back-up, and added a custom Rom. At first I flashed MoCaDo onto the phone but I had a lot of force closes. So I flashed Fresh .5 over MocaDo 1.1 and the force closes stop. The phone feels a lot zipper. I have WiFi tether. Spare parts is great. Now how do I move apps to the sd card to free up more space?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo there's this problem with my Desire, I can call and receive calls and everything. But once I'm in a call, the standby button will not turn the screen on, and no matter how many times I button mash all the soft keys, I get no response. However if my phone is feeling good, it'll show me the screen for a split second before hiding it again! This is a huge problem, I have no idea what the problem could be, as the standby button works fine when not in a call.. Anyone know what would be the reason? (Keep in mind, my HTC is literally a day old in my hands).

If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

Bourne to Blog: Negotiating with your Mobile Phone Carrier. I wanted to upgrade to an Android phone, but this would require a "data plan". Some time ago, I was told that since I wanted to keep my plan, I could add unlimited data for an additional $30/month and keep the plan. However, about a month ago, I emailed customer service wanting to do this with the Android phone. They told me can't do this with the Android phone, you'll have to switch to data plan (essentially losing my plan).
So, here's what I did: My dad got me an Android on his "Family Plan" along with my step-mom and step-sister. To add me onto his plan is just an additional $20 per month. So, this made the most economical sense (since I wasn't about to give up my old phone and plan).
Does anyone know how to turn off vibrate when I organize my screen?

I've searched on here and can't find the threads. How do you turn off the screen when in a call? I'm tired of hanging up or pushing buttons while talking. And is there a better lock screen out there? I've looked on the market place, but haven't really found any. I want to have the choice of unlocking my phone when it rings before I can answer.
Also,I get delays on my messages where I can see there is a blinking light, but the sound won't notify me of a text until I wake up the phone. Anyone else getting hits? I use Handcent.
Ok so I rooted my phone and installed SuperUser and Titanium Backup (paid version). My main reason was to free up some space.I clear the cache almost daily, am using just a few apps and have deleted anything that would actually make the phone any fun (like cool widgets or useful yet non-basic apps. I have no games on it. I have googled "how to move apps to SD with Titanium Backup" dozens of times in the past month and read that it's under "batch options" a thousand times. However, for the life of me I can NOT see an option under the 4th section "Move/Integrate" for anything remotely related to MOVING APPS TO SD. The only thing it shows on that category is "Integrate updates of system apps into ROM".
I have a huge external SD plugged in where ALL my pictures, screenshots, downloads, music and videos are stored. The external SD is not even half full. Yet, my 4.44GB internal memory is filled nearly to capacity with only 274MB free.
I constantly get the STORAGE SPACE RUNNING LOW message and my available space is invariably under 380MB.
WHAT CAN I DO??? I'm about to give up on Android alltogether.
I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the main apps I'm using which I think take up the most space are GMail, Whatsapp, Google Maps, Androind Weather and Camera360.
Is there a way or a app that allows u to set a time for your phone to turn completley off and back on at a certain time. i could do this on my blackberry and would set it to turn off at night then back on in the morning.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy htc hero can't seem to keep apps running in the background, save for a few, such as the engadget app. when I press home from the internet browser or the PDF viewer and try to get back into the application, the internet browser will resend info to get the page I was on back and the PDF viewer will restart just like the browser and end up in a PDF file I wasn't in before. It seems that the applications restart themselves when I get out of them. Also, I just downloaded the 2.1 update for TELUS, so I'm not sure if thats to blame.

I liked it at first, but turning it off really speeds up the response time. For some reason it is still vibrating when I go to phone and start typing a number. When holding the phone in your right hand and it is connected to the charger and on the net the damn cord gets in the way. Am i missing something here?
