I bought this android tv box from ebay, and there was a weird UI and I decided to delete Launcher. so I deleted it and after it didnt get to the home screen, and then i closed it and re-opened it and then stucks in to the android silver logo and I wait but nothing happens. is there a way to reset it to the factory settings though my pc or something like that?

I deleted (accidentally) some system files, and then nothing happened, but i hit the restore or backup from setting and it went fine untill the loading screen, i mean it shut down then the first loading image fine and the next one doesn't load my system.. What can i do? (I think i know what software i shouldn't have deleted).

I turned GPS on, opened Tinder, used it for few minutes, closed it and turned off GPS, removed Tinder from recent apps.
Next night, I see Tinder is the top battery consumer, with 1 day 9 hours of GPS use. GPS shows up as ON the entire time in the battery graph; while GPS tile is "off" in quick settings as well as locations services is also set to off.

I had seen exactly similar GPS hogging from Facebook and Maps too.
This exact same thing happens with Wi-Fi too. I had turned off Wi-Fi at night before going to sleep. But after returning from work the next day, I see in the battery graph that the Wi-Fi was on for the entire 17+ hours. And it still showed as "Off" in Quick settings tile and Wi-Fi settings page. The Wi-Fi definitely wasn't ON since as soon as I turned it on via QuickSetting tile, I got a flood of notifications. But there was considerable amount of battery drain, which is unusual when everything is off. Makes me think that the Wi-Fi was in fact ON. So, when I had turned Wi-Fi off at night, the phone only disconnected from the hotspot but still remained on.

Issue #64998 - The GPS bug was already reported by someone else in the Android project bug tracker. But it has low priority there and doesn't look like it will get addressed anytime soon.
My blackberry did, but my S4 doesn't turn on if it's off to sound the alarm. Is there an internal setting I can put on to fix this, or do I have to download a quick fix app for it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone and the screen won't turn on and doesn't respond to touch.The insurance company is picking it up tomorrow (*hence the urgency) and would like to get some stuff off it. Most stuff is on my exsd, so I'm not too worried if I have to wipe it, but would prefer only to wipe it once everything is off. I'm rooted and have a custom stock based rom and cwm installed.
Is there any way of doing this? I have the lock pattern enabled so when I plug it in nothing shows up.
If not, then how would I wipe it?
I bought a bricked Bruneau tablet and wanted to stock flash it. But the "script" named folder that i put it on the sdcard was for other kind of wonder media processor. I have a WM8505+ procesor and the software was for WM8605. Now the tablet does not turn on, black screen, no sound nothing. I saw on other forums and youtube that i can shortcircuit 2 pins from a Samsung chip on tablet motherboard but it`s not working.

When holding the phone in your right hand and it is connected to the charger and on the net the damn cord gets in the way. Am i missing something here? But once I'm in a call, the standby button will not turn the screen on, and no matter how many times I button mash all the soft keys, I get no response. However if my phone is feeling good, it'll show me the screen for a split second before hiding it again! This is a huge problem, I have no idea what the problem could be, as the standby button works fine when not in a call.. Anyone know what would be the reason? I usually have to go to WiFi settings and then once I do that it connects to my router. This will keep happening until I restart the phone and then the widget will work another 1-2 times and then I'll have to go into the settings menu until I restart again.

Today, when I went to use it, I'm receiving directions...BUT I do not get turn by turn voice directions. The view of the map is from like an airplane, not the "over the shoulder" view like I used to get, and the voice part is totally gone (I've checked the volume and it's not that).I've tried powering the phone down/up, but doesn't help. I've called Verizon but they've told me they don't support this App.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mom has an HTC Inspire. She uses the stock HTC calendar to access her Calendar, but her google calendar isn't showing up. I have double checked my accounts and Calendar is checked under the sync settings. However, when I go into the HTC calendar, the only calendar available is the PC Sync calendar. When I go into settings, and Calendars, the Google Calendar doesn't show up there either. I have added another google account to the fun just to check and it syncs the account normally.

I tried to use xposed module "flying android", it works when I start it within apps overview, but not as explained in the video by pressing long the home button. I always get the google now icon.
There are a number of android file hosts such as goo.im, androidfilehost, and lets not forget XDA itself.
These sites are crucial for Android's success, as without them dev support would die. Yet these sites rely on user donations and frequently the site admins own pocket. I donate when I can because of the importance. But the amount they ask for is not much, it wouldn't even matter to Google, and they are the company who should be most concerned about Android.
Is it a conflict of interest thing?
The power off menu doesn't come up when I hold down the power button, because the power button is broken. where the power off menu in android system ? and I am currently using the application reboot menu to turn off the phone.

I've posted in this forum because it seems Android has bluetooth issues on many devices.
I switch bluetooth on, turn on my car, then the phone connects via bluetooth to the car's speakerphone device.
I turn off the car, the phone sees the bluetooth speakerphone losing connection all of a sudden, then if I switch bluetooth off the phone tries to switch it really off but after a fews seconds bluetooth turns on automatically.
I can't reboot the phone everytime I have to switch bluetooth off.
PS: I really don't understand what's Goolge's problem with bluetooth. Really, they can't make it work right. It worked perfectly on 4.1.x, they've broken it with 4.2 and never fixed it 100%.
