I buried this in another thread. When I got to my photo album and select the "Share" option. My listing starts off with FACEBOOK, FACEBOOK, FLICKR, GMAIL, etc...
I only have one Facebook app installed. Is there a way to remove one of them?

Has anyone else had their WIFI connection just drop the connection? I'm sitting less than 5 feet from my router and have to restart my WIFI twice within the last hour.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhere I work is on Sprint and has bought Hero's for the office people. Most seem to like them. I like mine too(my own). However, my Hero has horrible reception. There are a few places around where I work that are dead zones. I drop calls there EVERY time. They NEVER drop there. We even went through there on the way to lunch the other day and all of us made a call to see how reception was on each. My Hero dropped the call and the rest did not. I have updated everything and still nothing. Sprint seems to be unconcerned. How can I get them to swap phones or something. I actually purchased from Best Buy. I was on 1.5 and have switched to 2.1 and it is the same on both.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wanted to ask you if there are some must do's after upgrading to 2.1.Since upgrading..the phone is very laggy and sometimes the network will just drop.I won't be able to surf or use any programs that require getting on the internet.Is there something I can do now that I'm on 2.1 to restore it's speed? Should I do a reset to the phone and then upgrade to 2.1?What have you guys done to speed up the phone?
View 8 Replies View RelatedLately I have been getting very poor signal strength on my Hero. It went from 3 or 4 bars, down to 1 or 2 at my house, and I constantly drop calls. I live in an area where I am supposed to have excellent signal strength too. Called tech support, they checked the towers, and all is fine. I have my phone set to Sprint only, and whenever I make a call, and end the call, my signal drops to 0, and sometimes even get an x meaning no signal, but either way what bothers me is when I end the call my data, whether it is Ev, or 1x lights up and sends/receive's data for about 5 seconds. After that the signal comes back. Now what in the world does data have to do with voice? Nothing. My phone is stock with no 3rd party apps installed at all.
I have reset to factory too, doesn't help Firmware and PRL are both up to date too.
I'm having some trouble with spinners. Basically I just want a drop down menu when touched, the undrop when touched again. The code seems to work halfway. I just don't get a drop down menu section.

P.S I just about managed to work out how to root and then add a custom rom to my phone by following the instructions exactly. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2 (GT-I9100)

View 1 Replies View RelatedAny app to single delete notifications from the drop down menu. I'm running Verizon HTC incredible, cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1. Since cyanogenmod 7.1, we have been able to swipe notifications left and right to delete them, but it doesnt really work very well.
I then went to a friends house who had an at @ t Motorola Atrix, with I think droid 2.3.4 on it. My friends drop down menu had a minus button on the right of the notification to delete it. That is exactly what I'm looking for. Any app or some way to set this in my (Rooted) phone?

Got a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.

It was not rooted, was running on the Sprint 2.1 update. I dropped it back down to .5, got through the rooting aspect, have SuperUser in my app tray, but now it won't let me boot into the recovery menu!
Every time I try, it just pops up a black screen with a phone on it and a big red Caution symbol over it...
Any ideas how to fix this so I can finish rooting my phone or even use the recovery menu options?
I have an activity. It does not have a title bar. The content view is just a linear layout. It looks like android draws a drop shadow at the top of my content view, directly below the status bar. Is there a way to stop that from being drawn?

I suspect the order of the items under menu/settings is listed by frequency of use, as expected by HTC, or Google. Is there any way the order can be re-arranged? Perhaps alphabetized? Wouldn't it be easier to use this way? I think on an old phone I had you could long press and then re-arrange items like this. I could be all wet. This is not a major concern, and I really like my Hero.

Since others haven't mentioned about it I am not sure if it is happening for me only? I also notice that the menu for changing NAM is not seen in 2.1 - Is anyone else who upgraded to 2.1 also noticing it?##786# is opening the menu but not ##778# which used to work on 1.5

I forgot to ask as well.I've searched online and the "chin" hero seems to have a little dent where you can prop it open. The Sprint Hero looks pretty solid... but I know you have to open it to replace the SD card so my question is how do I do it without ruining the molding?

I tried the lock screen and ended up locking my phone out due to too many tries in my pocket and ending up having to reset my phone to use again. Even with the lock screen on, the menu button still turn the phone on.

Now I am back to Darchdroid v2.8 because i like it way better than froyo, but the only way to unlock the phone is by sliding the screen icon. Is there a way to re-enable that menu/trackball way of unlocking the phone? I am using launcherpro 8.1 as home screen, not sure if that makes a difference.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust put this on my rooted CDMA Hero but I can't activate the phone! I tried doing it the manual way (according to Sprint - ##XXXXXX# - then edit and change MEID) but no menu pops up like it should.
I flashed ZenEXP-0.9.7-O.zip and then flashed Zen-Aria_Alpha5-D-signed.zip. I think I may have done that incorrectly. Phone works perfectly otherwise.
Where can I change the MEID? Do I need to unroot?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone last night following the guide and the help of a wonderful forum member and it went smoothly. I'm still on 1.5 and will stay here awhile 'till I get the nerve again to do a 2.1. I need to get used to the fact that I did just root my phone.
With all that said I have root explorer on my phone. I was going to use the list of safe apps that can be removed and I was going to cut and paste them into a backup directory in case I do something wrong. Does this sound safe and cautious? Or I was thinking about using Fresh Kitchen but I think I have to have that Rom on my phone and I don't want to go there yet. I would appreciate any suggestions on the safest way and easiest way to get rid of those apps.
