i have installed the 4.2 camera app on my galaxy nexus and i cant find the facial effects/ backgrounds like the ics and jelly bean camera apps had? did they remove it completely or just hid it somewhere?

View 3 Replies View Relatedan Alcateo OT 6030X (which is known around here as Orange San Remo - I'm from Romania). I just bought the phone a few days ago from someone, and while everything seemed fine at first, I came across a problem with its video camera.
When I switch to video, I get an icon on the top of the screen that allows me to select some video effect [big moth, big eyes, stretched face], but when I activate one of them, the camera just freezes, and sometimes the whole phone too. I tried a full factory reset the other days and everything worked correctly until last night. I even checked that specific feature yesteday morning and it was working perfectly, but last night it just froze again. I did install some apps I commonly use yesterday, so my suspicion is that one of the apps is to blame. I have attached the details of my phone, as well as all the apps I currently have.
so far I'm using the FxCamera app. Just took this shot outside work

View 6 Replies View RelatedOne approach I've looked at is to use the preview callback, asking for a JPEG buffer. Unfortunately, the HTC phones I've tried this on all call back at several second intervals and give me an NV12 buffer regardless of the pixel format you specify. (Anyone know the behaviour on a droid?) I can code my way around the NV12 hassle but I can't exactly do much when the callbacks are so seldom; I want around 10 fps.
The approach I was considering was making an opencore codec for mjpeg. Which leads me to two questions before I start:
1) can third-parties make and install opencore codecs, or is this strictly locked down? Is it to just drop an .so in the right folder, or?
2) do the HTC phones use the default encoders? (i.e. will using the same way the default opencore reference codecs get their pixel buffers work on the phone?)
I am developing an camera application where i want to capture image and give special effects. can anyone tell me how to work on preview of camera image taken by camera which i have include in application. After some reading, I think I have a basic understanding of manipulating the RGB values for all the pixels in the image. My main question is how do I come up with a transformation that produces cool effects?

I have two questions about wallpapers on my nexus one. First off, is there anyway to take a custom image that I have and I am using and put it into the list of "default" backgrounds so that when I change it I don't have to go through that resize hassle and everything and I can have it in a more organized location. Also are there any applications or tools out there to get great looking wallpapers for the nexus one. Sometimes when using an image it doesn't look that good and the selection thing when doing it from the gallery is annoying because of the selection has to be a square yet my screen is 800x480.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a spot of trouble trying out the ViPER4Android DSP plugin on my phone. While I have the corresponding apps and drivers installed, I'm unable to enable the DSP effect owing to fact that there is no "Music Effects" option in the Sound settings menu.
Is there some way to restore this option to the menu? I'm using an AOSP-based stock 4.0.4 ROM on my Huawei Ascend G600. Perhaps it can be done through the terminal/shell scripts or an init.d script?
I'm using CM 10.2 on my GS3 with Xposed and Cobalt theme. Is there a xposed module that will allow me to change system settings background and other default apps bg like the dialer, contacts...etc?

I've looked for launchers that have customization for this, but haven't found any yet. Some, like Apex, lets you customize the background of the folder icon but that's not what I'm talking about.
I have to admit haven't tried all launchers, I've mostly looked at feature lists.
So, my question is, does any launcher or any other program offer the capability to customize the ugly open folder background?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSamsung Galaxy Nexus. I could send special characters (i.e: �, �, �, �, �, ect) in text messages. Then, it wouldn't anymore. I believe my phone updated to Jelly Bean before it stopped, so it may be connected to that. When I try to send a message with any type of special character in it, the message simply won't send. No matter if I use the messenger than came on the phone, or the one I installed (Handcent). I still get the message just not sending. It'll send once I take the characters out of the message, though. I can normally receive messages containing special characters, but they sometimes it shows up as squares.
Mostly, I want to know if I can fix it. I understand that it may be the update, which I'll have to wait out. Or that it could be the phone itself, which in that case I'd just have to wait till I can upgrade again. It's just very annoying not being able to send accents or special characters. Especially to my Spanish only speaking friends.
When you turn on the phone, after the G1 screen, there's a black screen with the word Android in blue, and a glossy shine running across it. Can you tell me how imitate that effect? Maybe point me in the right direction, like what classes to look at?

I downloaded the backgrounds app and i love it. found some backgrounds right off the back that i liked and saved them. well when i saved the pics it says that they were saved to the sd card in the backgrounds folder. well when i go to my albums there is no backgrounds folder in there. so i figured i could hook it up over usb and just cut and paste them in a folder that i knew would show up in albums. strike 2. so i was fooling with the app and i found that they have photo frames that you can add a pic to and save them. well i tried that and a backgrounds folder appeared under albums but the backgrounds i saved still dont show up. strike 3.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to check this app out so I dled it and tried a few wallpaper but everytime I set it, it doesn't show up. It just sets one of my defaults that came with the phone the different color bubbles. Does anyone know how to fix this so the actual wall papers show up? Also when I select the contacts option in the backgrounds app only one contact shows up why is that and if I set it to the contact, where is it seen because I can't see it under their contact card. Does this app not work with our incredible yet?

I am TOTALLY in love and have not have one thing go wrong with it *knock on wood*. I get the occasional odd message but nothing that can't be fixed by moving out of the concrete block we live in. Annnyways. I was on Damn You Auto Correct! - Funny iPhone Fails and Autocorrect Horror Stories and keep seeing a lot of Iphone "screenshots" of texts and they look really cool with different backgrounds and texts and what not. I dont know of anyway to do this w/ the droid per se, however is there anyway someone could create 1 background w/ 3 pictures? That way, when you slide from screen to screen, you get 3 different backgrounds.
