I want to stop receiving email through my messages. I have deleted all of my email accounts but I am still receiving the email notifications through my messages!

I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and anticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just got the x10 mini. i have set my hotmail account up on the email function and have gone into settings and set up to get notifications of new emails coming through. the problem i am having is that i only get the notifications when i physically go into the email function and refresh- which completely defeats the point of the function. Has anyone else had this problem, or have i not set it up correctly?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

I can pair my phone to another phones but it's impossible to establish a connection and send files via Bluetooth.
Im currently using Handcent SMS for my texts but just one thing that bugs me, is there any way of disabling receiving 2 texts when you receive one, what I mean is one goes into Handcent SMS and the other goes into the normal SMS inbox??? Is there a way to stop this??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!

I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!

I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.
I'm new here and I just the Xperia X10. Is there anyway to get notifications when someone sends me a message, or post on my wall, etc?

when i receive a text message or notification (ex. email) I'll hear my notification tone and/or the phone will vibrate but there the screen remains off and gives no visual alert.

I have noticed a probable gltich in the timescape, excuse me if I had mistaken. I see that all my accounts(face book,Twitter, SMS) are updated correctly but I don't find the call log and my email view of timescape correctly updated. Please help out to get this corrected. PS I am using the 1.6 version of Android.

I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! (I was proud of my achievment...I use my calendar on my phone heaps and I was wondering if I can sync that to my Microsoft Outlook Express 2007 Calendar?
