Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 :: No Shown Delivery Report For Sms?
Dec 1, 2010I have searched for hours after a solution to get delivery reports for sms in my Xperia X8. What I understand there is no way to get proper delivery reports, that is a report AFTER the message has been delivered to the recipent. I have used several sms apps like Handcent and in this program I choosed the alternative "report when the sms has reached the recipent". No delivery report was shown. I sent an sms to my older phone, the sms was receieved but no delivery report was shown. In my older W595 this was no problem and I use the same SIM card and same telephone number.
Is the Xperia X8 such a lousy phone and the developers such amateurs that they didn´t include such a simple function in a mobile launched in 2010? Hoping for some tips! Perhaps there is an app that fixes the problem?

Apr 30, 2010I thought the idea of the home screen was to show the latest sms/email etc, i got a sms but home page shows an old message, when i go into timescape i see my last actions and the newest message but the old message that is on homescreen is not shown. Take it this is a slight bug?

Sep 26, 2010When I used to compose a text message I could tap the "To" field, start typing the first few letters of the recipient's name and the list of matches in my phone book would automatically appear. Now all that appears is exactly what I type with a few apparently random digits underneath. For example if I type "Tim" I used to get a drop-down list of all the Tims In my phonebook. Now all I get is something like "Tim" with "617" underneath. Do I need to do something like sync my sms with my phonebook and If so how?

Oct 18, 2010I was trying to install the latest software via software companion and it was taking well over an hour. So I removed the phone to complete it later. Big mistake. My phone is now disabled and only shows an exclamation mark and triangle. What I have to do to restore it.

Sep 29, 2010I have just received an update with the latest firmware for the Mini Pro. My RoadSync still does not sync my Outlook contacts to the phone. Mail and Calendar works just fine but when I try to reach my contacts I am just presented with the blue menu, asking me to add users manually or to sync with Google etc. There are no more settings to set in the RoadSync application more than to checkmark the contacts - then they should "automatically" show up in the Android contact list, which does not happen. This is really a very big issue, making the phone almost unusable.

Aug 1, 2010My phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?

Oct 23, 2010I am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

May 20, 2010I have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

Aug 5, 2010I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

Apr 19, 2010I got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!
Facebook has all updates off
Email is synced hourly
Moxier calendar daily
I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!

Jun 29, 2010I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

Jelly Bean :: Android 4.2.2 - Not Entire Text Shown When Receiving MMS
Dec 26, 2013I've got a Samsung S4 Active running Android 4.2.2. And when I receive MMS messages, only some of the text is shown. Especially if the received image is upright orientation. I have to copy the text to the clipboard and then paste it somewhere to be able to read the entire text. And this is starting to get a little annoying. Is there anything I can do about this, or is this just a "feature" in the message application?
