Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Phone Locking And Not Receiving MMS

My phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?

I have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

Why is it my phone have to unlock before I can pick it up? It was not like that before until I just factory reset it. I am using X10i.

I got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!
Facebook has all updates off
Email is synced hourly
Moxier calendar daily
I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!

Is there a way to turn off screen without locking it? I really don't need to lock it when the phone is laying on the table but saving battery by turnig off screen is good.

I have a simple car cradle that I use to view GPS whilst driving. Unfortunately after few mins of driving, the three keys at the bottom lock up - touch screen and power buttons still respond but I cannot menu/home/undo with any of the three keys. If I take the X10 out of the cradle - tilt it back to the level then the keys work again!
Could this be to do with the accelerometer sensing the car vibration in this mode and some 'shake' event in the configuration locking the keys??? If so is there some setting that allows to not lock the keys?

I am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

i have the x10 on orange and have been experiencing problems receiving (or not as the case maybe) sms, it can take hours for a txt to come through and then usually half a dozen arrive at the same time, anybody else had a problem with this? and does anyone know what causes it and what i can do to fix it?

Got a X10 Mini last week and love it to bits.How the heck does one send a contact as a business card? Also does not seem to receive any business cards sent to the phone from other phones. Please don't tell me that it can't do this.Another question: How does one send a text message (sms) to multiple recipients?And a last one: It appears that it does not keep any record of sent text messages, so one cannot go back and check which messages one sent - ridiculous!

I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

Im currently using Handcent SMS for my texts but just one thing that bugs me, is there any way of disabling receiving 2 texts when you receive one, what I mean is one goes into Handcent SMS and the other goes into the normal SMS inbox??? Is there a way to stop this??

Hey..not a real problem, but since my 2.1 upgrade when I receive a text message my notification rings twice for one message. Anyone else get this? It's just weird behavior...nothing I can't live with.

I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

I was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?

I got an Xperia X8 on 22nd October. The phone is very good to use. Its touch response is perfect. The speed is good. But the phone restarted the first day when I played the demo video. Within 5 days the phone has restarted for about 4 times when I was playing other videos. How to get rid of this problem?
