My x Peria doesn't pop up face book notifications ? i have it with time scape and face book for android? Also how do u update emails as that updates face book?

I'm new here and I just the Xperia X10. Is there anyway to get notifications when someone sends me a message, or post on my wall, etc?
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Timescape worked fine, but 13 days ago doesn't sync with the Facebook. I get a message: "Could not connect to the internet!" I tried with 3G and WIFI connection too. Everything works fine (for example the Twitter in Timescape or browser so the internet connection is available), only the Facebook refresh doesn't work. I tryed clear the timescape settings, and reconfig the timescape, tryed remove the Facebook account and re set, but the problem is the same. 4 days ago, I updated the phone software for the newest (R2BA026 1.1.31). I made a factory reset and made a repair with the PC Companion. I tryed remove the sony ericsson app, from my Facebook account. Still I have the problem, I can't fix it I didn't change anything, when the problem starts.

So I wanted to use a bigger card 8 gb. It's a new card, but the x10 mini doesn't recognize it. What can I do? How can I solve this problem? The card is not broken, I can use it in my nokia and read it on the computer.

I am wondering if there is a way to post a picture I took with my X10 to my facebook account. Someone had told me, all I needed to do was long touch it and a set of options would appear to let me do that. But I am not getting the list of options. Am I doing something wrong? I am browsing my pictures via mediascape.
How do you post a standing photo on facebook from x10mini? my photos keeps being posted laying down which is a bit annoying.

I tried this, and now, opening my Phonebook shows all my facebook friends with their facebook profile pic, and number (if they have entered one on facebook). Sweet! Less work for me!
BUT - a lot of my facebook friends do not put their number on their profile, so I need to add the number for these Phonebook contacts. However, there seems to be no way of adding a phone number for them; and these people do not appear when I want to select a contact to send a text to? What is that all about? How do you add phone numbers to contacts that were synced in through facebook, so you can then select them when you want to call or text them?
When i receive a text message the phone doesnt sound an alert or vibrate, really annoying having to keep checking the phone to see if i have any messages. The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and anticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just got the x10 mini. i have set my hotmail account up on the email function and have gone into settings and set up to get notifications of new emails coming through. the problem i am having is that i only get the notifications when i physically go into the email function and refresh- which completely defeats the point of the function. Has anyone else had this problem, or have i not set it up correctly?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the "Tone Picker" app to use my mp3's as a message tone and once I selected a tune my x10 no longer plays anything when I receive a msg. I uninstalled the app, switched the phone off but it still doesn't make a sound when a new msg comes through.Does anyone know a way to fix this without me having to reset to manufacturer settings?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got an X10 on contract but got so annoyed by the fact that the x10 does not have a calendar as I have to sync with google mail (which i don't want to do). and the phone book is also sync'd to Gmail. I have a gmail account but don't use it that much. I only use it for gtalk with a few friends, 4 to be precise. I am a yahoo mail user. I found the internet connect brilliant and the timescape and mediascape very useful.
I then went on to order a samsung Galaxy S which I had tired in-store and really loved it. The camera is brilliant.. its way better the the X10. 3/4 of the applications on Galaxy i like especially the calendar as it the major application i use. The down side is It's network coverage is so poor. It does not matter if it's indoors or outdoors. the internet connection is so slow other than that the rest is fine.
what i would like help with is whether i can have some of the applications on Galaxy like calender, mini diary, layer,and live wallpapers on the Xperia x10. OR if i can have timescape and and media scape on the Samsung instead. I would keep the samsung and put up with the slow internet connection but would really love to keep the X10 if the above can be done.
How have SE managed to make such a simple task turn into a complete shambles? My experience of SE sync are:-
1. Being told that it doesnt work over Wifi? Why the hell not?!
2. It adding mutltiple entries for the same number in the same contact
3. It adding the same contact multiple times
4. Not being able to log in
5. Now not being able to make it stop syncing (or trying!) even when I have deleted the bloody account!!!!!!!
I have never been more disappointed with ANY product I have ever bought. In Halfords today and had to end the phone call because I couldnt hear who I was talking to. Pathetic.
I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?
