Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Phone Won't Vibrate When Receiving SMS / Way To Fix?

I have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

My phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?

Why is it my phone have to unlock before I can pick it up? It was not like that before until I just factory reset it. I am using X10i.

I got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!
Facebook has all updates off
Email is synced hourly
Moxier calendar daily
I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!

When i receive a text message the phone doesnt sound an alert or vibrate, really annoying having to keep checking the phone to see if i have any messages. The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.

Having a problem when I'm setting my phone to the vibrate function. It doesn't vibrate at all, just acts as if I set the phone to silent.
How do I fix this? Anyone else have this issue since the rogers update. My gf is having the same problem with her X10.

I am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

i have the x10 on orange and have been experiencing problems receiving (or not as the case maybe) sms, it can take hours for a txt to come through and then usually half a dozen arrive at the same time, anybody else had a problem with this? and does anyone know what causes it and what i can do to fix it?

Got a X10 Mini last week and love it to bits.How the heck does one send a contact as a business card? Also does not seem to receive any business cards sent to the phone from other phones. Please don't tell me that it can't do this.Another question: How does one send a text message (sms) to multiple recipients?And a last one: It appears that it does not keep any record of sent text messages, so one cannot go back and check which messages one sent - ridiculous!

I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

Im currently using Handcent SMS for my texts but just one thing that bugs me, is there any way of disabling receiving 2 texts when you receive one, what I mean is one goes into Handcent SMS and the other goes into the normal SMS inbox??? Is there a way to stop this??

After the update, the shutter sound is not silent when in silent/vibrate mode. Sony always had this one in a bag. Why does it fail now? Please fix this Also, I am not sure if this is bug, but to activate camera with camera button, now you need to long press the button, whereas before you just had to tap. [Is it a bug or a fix?] But, the previous mentioned is a bug. Shutter should not make a sound when the phone is on silent mode or vibrate mode.

I have a new problem for the incoming call. My phone is work well until now. The phone doesn't ring and vibrate when incoming call. So, I restart my phone and I tried to call my phone but it's ringing vibrate the first time. Then the second time doesn't work anything.

I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

When i receive a message, it automatically changes the setting of my phone to Vibrate mode.
I turn it off and set it to normal, when i receive an SMS it changes to Vibrate and i dont hear my ringtone. I'm using CM10

I have a couple of questions about notifications on the Captivate.
1) My ringer, when someone calls me, starts off quiet for a few seconds then goes to full volume. The ringtone I have doesn't do that by itself, it must be a setting. Is there a way to make it ring full volume as soon as someone calls me?
2) Is there a way to make the phone vibrate when receiving a text message either while the phone is on vibrate or on normal volume.

I was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?
