I would like to completely remove Media scape and install the default sound/picture/movie applications. I'd also like to have the default Android theme and home, instead of the Sony Ericsson bullshit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk people, I have found a way to extend your battery life enormously, to the extent that it is what it was advertised by Sony. Some of you guys may know that I have helped on a lot of other minor issues when the x10 first came out so am not lying on this.In the battery life thread, I have mentioned that last week, my battery was amazingly great where overnight, it only reduced 3-5% of the battery and a good days use only drained about 30-40% of the battery. I did not know how this happened but I have finally found out now after testing it 3 times.
My solution:
I turned off my phone, then turn it back on, used tasks killer right away because the phone when turned on, activates a lot of apps and then i killed all apps except my beautiful widgets and settings. And that is it, battery was amazing and you can use your apps as normal and battery life was as good as mentioned above.
Now, the problem that kills the battery where you will have to restart your phone again for the good battery life: When downloading a new app or updating from the market, the battery became horrendous again. When I did this, the battery overnight drained 25-30% and a days use drained over 60%.But all I did was restart my phone after installing a new app or updating and did what I mentioned above and the battery was back to it's amazing self.I have tested this 3 times and it works for me. It is as simple as turning off your phone and back on again so go and try it to see if it works for you.
When i am setting up the wallpaper i am unable to get the full wallpaper even though i have taken 200*320 size is there any solution for this

When using bluetooth, it connects fine, makes itself discoverable and pairs up with another phone, but when trying to send files like photos to it it can't find my phone? it says it's 'paired but not connected' with the other device.

My X8 was getting restarted when try to play a video. It was also getting restarted while playing the video shoted with that Own X8's cam. I updated the S/W but no use of it. Whats the reason for it. Is there any solution.

The phone is completely unlocked i can access all menus with no problem but as soon as i make a call it says "Call ended" and messages remain unsent with a red exclamation mark. No messages or calls can be received either. I've tried 2 different sim cards with different providers and on both cases the signal is full but the same problem persists.
View 33 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem,it happens once a day(it happend before MR1,with MR1,and with MR2). Cant unlock the screen,when I need to drag padlock left or right it just cant,padlock stays on the left or right side, I can get it back to the middle but unlock - NO (sometimes it promts for some ''unlock code'' but it is not usual lock code as I never set a lock code) and in mean while if you receive a call from some one he complained later on that why didn't you receive the phone, my answer is always that phone never vibrate or ring but when i check the miss call log the call was really there.
The only temporary solution is soft reset. Somebody have something to say?
Is there any offline slution for backup of all datas, and restoring them?? Why was the offline issues thought before.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericsson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same. I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a difficulty getting texts on my x10. It is branded orange but is unlocked and "working" on three UK. I can surf the net on it (I added a APN) and send and receive calls again just not getting any texts. At one point I did and it was when 3 told me to reboot the phone to finish the process and after reboot hey presto! I can send texts on three and other SIMs work fine. Can't receive calls either, when you phone it is says the number is not recognized.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a question. The phone is set to vibrate when receiving SMS messages in the Messaging options. I only receive the audio notification and no vibration. I have also tried it with the program SMSPopup and its the same thing. I downloaded another one, SMSMorse, and it vibrates with this one, vibrating in mores code the message or the sender's name. The problem is that the mores code is long and it wastes the battery. I have sent a complaint to SE and they told me to take out the battery so it resets but no lock. The next thing they told me is to do a factory reset but I don't want to lose all of my settings and everything.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the phone last week and very disappointed with low sound volume but seems I am not alone....anyway that's not my question.I am interested in how much my 3G connection is active and how much data my phone is receiving/sending. I installed the 3G Watchdog app and for example this morning with browsing BBC website with NO downloads etc it is showing 4.76MB data alone (3.96MB received and 838KB transmitted). My 3G connection is almost always flashing with the arrows showing data transfer but what is it?!

I seem to have a "background" data transfer of 3MB/day and this is without any browsing etc...what is going on?!
Hey..not a real problem, but since my 2.1 upgrade when I receive a text message my notification rings twice for one message. Anyone else get this? It's just weird behavior...nothing I can't live with.

I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.
