Nov 18, 2009When I try to play mp3 files that I have downladed directly to my phone the default music player cannot seem to play them when other applications (like Browser) are running. Music simply quits when I switch to another open application. I do not have this problem with music I have manually transferred to the phone, and the only difference that I can identify between them is the location of the files: downloads on the internal sd and others on the external. Is there any reason why the file location should be an issue?

Sep 30, 2010On my Vibrant, I created a file called .nomedia with a view to place a ringtone file in it so that the ringtone file would not show in the music player library. However it has had the effect of hiding ALL my media files from my phone - non are accessible. When I mount (to a Mac) I cannot see a file named .nomedia and so cannot delete it, but all my media files are there. How to I get rid of the .nomedia file i cannot see?

Sep 10, 2010I recently bought the Samsung Vibrant phone. I am a little intimidated by it but trying to learn things, but have two questions I need to find answers for quickly - for business reasons.
I found out how to put a file on my computer, but not how to name it...i.e. clients...that type of thing....
AND the guy that talked me into this said that I would be able to access my home computer with this phone so if I needed to send a file while away from the house, I could do that. BUT I cant seem to find that.
AND LASTLY...there seem to be a lot of aps on the phone already that I done want or wont use, but the TMobile guy (who uses a blackberry) could not seem to figure out how to get rid of them.
ALSO...for anyone looking for some cool covers for the phone...decalgirl.com has some great skins for the phone AND the Realook screne protector is wonderful...changes nothing and cant tell it is there, but do follow the directions as to the water to take all dust out of the air.

My S4 auto delete my images, videos, music and documents once in a while like twice a month?
Basically, all files from "My Files" folder are deleted. My apps, contacts and sms-es are all unaffected. I don't have any SD card attached.
After that incidence, I decided to factory data reset my S4 as I suspected the software might be corrupted or infected by virus or something. The same thing happened again after 2weeks or so.

Oct 9, 2010I have a few ringtones I dowloaded through a ringtone app that I've since deleted. I no longer use these ringtones, and would like to delete them from the phone. is there anyway to do so? I can't seem to find them in a file mode. I can get to them through choosing a ringtone, but can't delete them, and only 2 of them showed up in the music category. is there anyway to find them in the phone and make them go away??

Motorola Droid :: Unnecessary Files - Safely Delete Them - Just The Files Not Folder?
Nov 17, 2009I uploaded about 50 pictures from iPhoto (using a Mac) just to see what they looked like and then later formatted the Droid's SD card, so the pictures were no longer there.
Now, if I mount the Droid via USB and view the file structure there is a folder named /albumthumbs which contains 50 files, presumably for the 50 pictures a had on the SD card.
To me, these file, unless linking to actual photos stored on the SD card, take up extra space in the phone's memory (not worried about the SD card). I wonder if I can safely delete them (just the files...not the folder)?

Oct 22, 2010I havent been able to find the zip or rar files my phone downloads (or at least I think it has downloaded) through the Browser app.
THe very first time I tried this it worked fine. i downloaded a zip file from filestube and it immediately showed up in the notification bar that it was downloading. When it was done i clicked the notification and i unzipped it with androzip or something like that. Worked like a charm...
But now i have tried many times, and i never get any confirmation that any download has begun in the notification bar or anything. The only thing that leads me to believe that some download is actually taking place is that, for instance, if iam downloading from megaupload, if i click the download button 2x it will take me to window saying that "this i.p address is already downloading a file".
But i cant find any evidence of this on the phone? I have looked through all the folders on the sd card, but no luck.

But when I read the Google play auto added books, they are fitted with the screen height and width. Is it a pdf file issue? If it's my pdf issue, how do I correct them?
