I have just downloaded the official JG4 firmware from the samsung firmware website. However, there's only one file within. So where are the modem and CSC files?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play mp3 files that I have downladed directly to my phone the default music player cannot seem to play them when other applications (like Browser) are running. Music simply quits when I switch to another open application. I do not have this problem with music I have manually transferred to the phone, and the only difference that I can identify between them is the location of the files: downloads on the internal sd and others on the external. Is there any reason why the file location should be an issue?

Apparently I can't do anything about this through eBay, so I need to keep the phone, so really just trying to restore it to a good condition. Does anyone know where I might be able to get an official SGS housing? I've searched all over but have had no joy so far!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed while upgrading from the "pulled" 2.2 to the "official" 2.2 some of my purchased apps are no longer available from the market. Cannot be found at all. Someone said that Google has to approve every new ROM to get complete access to the market. I was just wondering if it is I who have the glitch or if anyone else has the same problems. I have heard from two other sources (in Sweden) who have the same issues.

I'm a newbie on smartfones and had spent a few days adding useful apps to my Galaxy S. File management and, file transfer applications to wireless link to my laptop followed by the transfer of all my work presentations (powerpoint) and lecture notes. All worked fine until today. Now, my device seems to have lost all the downloaded and installed apps (leaving gaps on the desktop). It has also discarded the image I had chosen for my screen background, and I can't see an icon to go to the Android store. Finally: on one of the screens I have the message "Problem loading widget". That might be connected to the problem that Android Market has completely disappeared. How do I get that back!! It's important. My transferred files are still sitting in folders in DCIM so that's good. but none of the special applications are visible. Can someone give an opinion on this. Has something taken place online with Samsung that has put my system back to its out-of-box state.

Now I can't see any of them when I connect the Tab to my Mac using Android File Transfer. I can see the movie files are there in the Tab under Applications/Google Play Movies/SD Card. It's running smooth and I've not had any problems My question is, what is the difference between my existing version and the 'offical' Froyo 2.2 that will be released soon? View 5 Replies View RelatedUnable to find my stock firmware.. every link points to the same file from hotfile.com and my ISP provider sucks causing the download to get stuck in between, tried two times at 100Kbps, failed both the times, once at 62%(552 MB)! its very hard to download it, any non hotfile link or some direct link if possible, can download it and host it as a torrent or something because i have very bad net connection and its slow also.
I am talking about Samsung Galaxy s3 19300 International/India Jelly Bean ROM, or even ICS stock might be ok. _

Its very hard to do apparently and I not adept enough to mess with it. There's also other ways to enable custom animations by flashing special zip files created by smokin1337 and clarified by ReelFiles and using something like rom toolbox to add custom ones to your system/media folder. I want to build an application that is able to read .CSV files. These .CSV files are downloaded NOT from within the application but just the regular Android browser. Now, when I start my custom application, is that download available to me? Any examples?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI havent been able to find the zip or rar files my phone downloads (or at least I think it has downloaded) through the Browser app.
THe very first time I tried this it worked fine. i downloaded a zip file from filestube and it immediately showed up in the notification bar that it was downloading. When it was done i clicked the notification and i unzipped it with androzip or something like that. Worked like a charm...
But now i have tried many times, and i never get any confirmation that any download has begun in the notification bar or anything. The only thing that leads me to believe that some download is actually taking place is that, for instance, if iam downloading from megaupload, if i click the download button 2x it will take me to window saying that "this i.p address is already downloading a file".
But i cant find any evidence of this on the phone? I have looked through all the folders on the sd card, but no luck.
