Android :: How To Permanently Delete Emails From Inbox?
Jun 3, 2010Have a moto droid on verizon and question about email. I'd like to be able to delete from inbox and have it deleted, not go to trash. Or at the very minimum, be able to empty the trash folder in one step without having to individually select each email to be deleted. Is either of these possible and I'm just missing something?

Jan 19, 2010I have a few hotmail accounts and I access them via Live Mail on my work computer and my home computer as well as my hero. If I delete them on my home computer they still show up on my hero (Same with my work computer, delete and stills hows on my hero). What settings do I need to flip so that if I delete the emails on one system they don't show up on any of the other systems. (same with showing read). Is it a matter of IMPA vs POP3? It gets annoying to have to delete 30+ emails every morning on my hero after I've read them on my PC.

Jul 2, 2010I am using Gmail. When I receive an e-mail, I get the same e-mail twice one in the HTC mail box and the other in the Google mail box. I have tried to delete the HTC mail but it will not allow me. If I go to manage applications and choose HTC mail, I can choose forced stop which temporarily stops the double e-mail. It will always revert back however to receving e-mails. Is there a way to permanently stop HTC mail or delete it permanently?

Oct 17, 2009I need some tech help please. I have checked the settings on my phone the volume is up for everything (i.e. ringer, notifications, media) The ringer works. The sounds work. But when I try to open a downloaded application from the market, it wont play the sound. One of the examples of this: I downloaded a silly piano application, and it wont play sound, but it will vibrate. That is one of many apps without sound. What do I do?

First of all I downloaded the file and it is zipped.So i unzipped it and copied the unzipped files onto my sd card into an applications folder I had created. Mar 18, 2010My Hero is going haywire. I was trying to download some apps from the market today and they don't want to start. So I rebooted my phone to see if it made any difference. Now when it starts up I get error messages that the com.android.phone and a few others are not working and have to force a close. I have no service either. All the installed apps and components are working but not phone itself. I am with Cellular South in Mississippi and my wife has a Hero also which is working normally so I know it's not a network issue.

Sep 13, 2010I'm a newbie on smartfones and had spent a few days adding useful apps to my Galaxy S. File management and, file transfer applications to wireless link to my laptop followed by the transfer of all my work presentations (powerpoint) and lecture notes. All worked fine until today. Now, my device seems to have lost all the downloaded and installed apps (leaving gaps on the desktop). It has also discarded the image I had chosen for my screen background, and I can't see an icon to go to the Android store. Finally: on one of the screens I have the message "Problem loading widget". That might be connected to the problem that Android Market has completely disappeared. How do I get that back!! It's important. My transferred files are still sitting in folders in DCIM so that's good. but none of the special applications are visible. Can someone give an opinion on this. Has something taken place online with Samsung that has put my system back to its out-of-box state.
