Motorola Droid X :: Enabled Auto Matic Update For Market Apps Still Won't Auto Update
Sep 26, 2010So one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

May 15, 2010After upgrading my Moment to 2.1, I can no longer download apps from Android Market. I can select to download an app, it says starting download, then quickly indicates "download unsuccessful." Prior to my upgrade it was working fine. All my account info is as it was before and has properly synced etc.

Oct 17, 2010I have alot (and I mean ALOT) of apps on my Xperia, so I get around 5 app updates a day, which is now starting to agitate me because most of them are the same apps everyday needing updates.
Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?

No matter how paragraph�s length is, it will always auto fit to the screen to read, even I zoom in, it will still fit perfectly to the screen, so no need to use finger to keep moving left and right to read the whole article
But today, all of sudden, it doesn�t do that any more, do you guys have the same problem? And do you know how to fix this? I read a lot on my phone and it was so cool it did that auto fit thing, even iphone doesn�t do that but I have tried restarted the phone, all the settings but can�t find anything.

Dec 2, 2009Originally, when I got my Moment, I had it set up to Auto-Sync my Gmail, Contacts and Calendar. I noticed (especially when managing contacts on my phone) that when I made any changes to a contact, the auto-sync would begin, in turn, freezing up the whole contact app/module. It would freeze for about 30 seconds until the sync was complete.
This would also happen with the Gmail app. So I turned off auto-sync a couple weeks ago, and every time I go into Gmail, I just go to Menu, Refresh. But it's a pain when I get a call saying, "Hey, did you get my email?". So I'm thinking of using IMAP for Gmail now, but I'd rather find out if anyone else is having this issue, or if there's a workaround.

Feb 25, 2010Does anyone know how to get Flickr added to the Auto Upload "Add A New Place?"Currently, I have MySpace, YouTube, Photobucket, and Facebook, but I have a Flickr Pro account and would like to be able to just upload to my account there.
Any ideas? It's rather frustrating to have the others, but not Flickr - and not have the ability to add others (that I can see/find).
Samsung Moment :: Moment Update A Breath Of Fresh Air
Jan 16, 2010I went in on Friday morning to the Sprint store and got the update for my Moment. I must say it fixed my key complaints. When I got back to my office (where I never got GPS reading before) it showed me on Google maps right where I was -Yeah! The lag in keystroke to letters appearing appears to be almost entirely gone. And Battery Life is really improved - to a crazy point (in a good way). I pulled it off the charger this morning, checked some scores today and then pretty much spent all evening downloading apps / playing games, etc and I was shocked when I got done - Still had about 70% battery life. Good job Sprint. I would have liked to have had this w/o going into the store, but it only took about 15 minutes and I have store close by, so no biggie.

Apr 21, 2010I recently upgraded to a rooted 2.1 system and all worked well for about a week, including use of the Market. But now I can't download anything from the Market at this point. I've tried every solution I've seen on this and other forums, but nothing has solved the issue. I've tried rebooting through recovery, pulling out the battery, starting Google Talk (apparently that helps with other phones), checked the 'okay to download third-party apps/unknown sources' mark in settings, and cleared the cache out of every application. I've uninstalled every application I've downloaded in the last 3-4 days.
However, I can't find the Market app to clear the cache - would seem like if I cleared the cache from the Market app, that might do the trick. I remember seeing it as an manageable app in 1.5, but it's not showing in 2.1.
Is the Market app in 2.1 hidden somehow? I've used Root Explorer, ASTRO and the stock apps manager but none show the Market program as an application.
Also, are there other suggestions I haven't tried?
The reason it's an issue right now is because I removed the mms.apk program (moved it to the SD card, but it won't re-install -- tried ASTRO and Root Explorer) and was using Handsent SMS exclusively for texting. But Handsent had some problems so I uninstalled it and was about to re-install it but now I can't successfully download anything from the Market. So, I have no texting ability right now.

I do like to use it for music, but as of right now my PSP sounds better, but i'd like to leave that at home when I head off to school. It's kinda clunky, and it'd be more desireable to only have to take one thing with me. Don't get me wrong, the sound is fine on the Moment, it's just..... not what I want it to be. Samsung Moment :: Is There Market App Or Something Misssing That Can 'beef Up' Email App
Nov 21, 2009Is there a market app or something I am misssing that can 'beef up' the email app. I have tried all of the gmail reconfiguring to get some of the functionality, but good old yahoo bizmail has known issues that causes problems in trying to use gmail for yahoo on the phone.
I desparately need settings like a signature for my email replies. Google just doesn't currently work for me. Anyone have any suggestions? Probably my biggest complaint. Google is not my favorite for email, contacts, etc. and I am trying hard to use it as needed since this whole phone revolves around it, but its like take huge steps backwards in functionality and customization from my windows mobile phones.
Samsung Captivate :: How To Update Android Market?
Nov 28, 2010A month ago I bought 2 Samsung captivates at the same time. Tonight while messing with the one I gave my Fiancee, I notice her Market was different from mine. Hers says it is version 1714, mine says 2002012.I couldn't find any thing on the web other than there are a few android phones, non samsung, that are also stuck at 1714, and that 2012 is the latest version.
