Updated to Android 2.1 today and none of my apps are listed in the market that I purchased. Yes I used the same email address. Frustrating part is MyBackup Pro was one of them! So I can't restore all my data either. Anyone have any ideas?

One side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

I can select to download an app, it says starting download, then quickly indicates "download unsuccessful." Prior to my upgrade it was working fine. All my account info is as it was before and has properly synced etc.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure who I should complain to about this, HTC or Google, but after I did the most recent Hero (sprint) firmware update I am unable to see applications that I developed nor several applications that I paid for (and free ones) on the Market. This makes updating them unavailable. Also, if I do a factory reset on my phone, then I will not be able to download these paid for applications again. What's the deal here? A friend of mine who also did the firmware update is in the same boat. Since I do have applications out there that people are buying, I am now unable to view comments for those since I cannot see them on the Market. What's the solution to this? Should I contact HTC as well?

No longer on tmobile and while I love my moment I really wish I could have the camera apps, audio post card apps and the gallery. I have root on both so I pulled the apk and odex files but when I try to install the apk it fails. Is there any way to get these to work?

View 26 Replies View RelatedIn Gmail I have my contacts sorted by groups, easy enough, on occasion I need to add a new group or move a contact from one group to another, which is easy enough using a pc and my Gmail account. However, I cannot seem to add new groups or edit existing groups on my Moment. I can see the groups, I can sort by groups, but I cannot find an option that will allow me to add or edit any groups. Does anyone know how this is done on the Moment? I suppose I could use the browser to log on to my Gmail account and change it from there but isnt that sort of redundant since I am on my Gmail account using the Moment? Also, maybe someone knows when Moment contacts sync with my Gmail why dont the contact photos sync? One more thing, anyone ever on a call and it goes dead and after a few seconds the phone rings with unknown in the caller ID. When answer it is some from my address book that should have appeared in my caller ID Anyway, now I have to quickly hang up on this person to call the person my phone hung up on to receive this call. Its like the call waiting gets disengaged and hangs up the present call to allow the new incoming. I also had this problem on a HTC Hero I had before I got the Moment also.

Player doesn't seem to find them The folder for the one album I have also has the album art in it. The player won't play the album in the right order...just has the songs alphabetical. no sort option that I can see?

In general I am thrilled with the newest Android offering for my phone, but I notice that now when I open the "Contacts" menu, my options are only to call or email that contact. In 1.6 on that same screen I had the option to Message them as well, is that something that could be wired back up? I use Handcent for messaging if that makes any difference.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWell...I updated to DE03...and *love* it...with a couple of exceptions....
First, I seem to be missing my Voicemail app. The phone works...but there is *no* indicatoin of any voicemails.... unless, of course, I dial my own number....at which point the pleasant voice says: "You have 15 new voicemails...First new voicemail..."
So...what did I *fail* to install? (and yes...I'm using the basic phone dialer...nothing fancy...and BTW...my Contacts are fine...)
And second...my Calendar App seems to be messed-up...the Icon is there...but when i open it...it force-closes immediately.
Third...i seem to have issues with my GPS...perhaps The Navigator is greedy...but it seems that something in my GPS doesn't like to share...if i try and use two different apps that utilize GPS...it stops working, and i have to reboot to get the GPS to function again.
Lastly...i seem to get a black-screen lockup for no discernable reason....pulling the battery fixes it...but that is (obviously) pretty annoying.
Updated to official 2.1 rooted v.7 and recovery 3.0.8, home screen randomly goes missing, don't really know the cause of it. also have the beta custom rom builder on phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy gmail app suddenly stopped working. i have background and auto sync on. contacts and calendar syncing without any issue. mail is the only problem. i uninstalled ADW launcher which i updated right before this problem and all related apps for that launcher from the phone. i rebooted the phone (several methods including holding down power and volume buttons down, power off and battery out) but the problem still persists. I am unable to see the gmail app in the android marketplace from my phone. Otherwise, i will uninstall the one in my phone and reinstall the same. Another crazy thing is..when i open manage applications under settings, i dont see gmail app there. i have to app on my tray but not found in the applications list.what is going on?

The only thing weird but not bad was that all the applications were in different order. BUT the first bad thing I noticed was that the Android Market application was gone! Is this normal? Can I get it back somehow?

1) Dev puts game for sale on Android market hoping to make lots of $$ $.
2) Dev makes $50 in a month, cries a little, realizes his game is languishing in the ratings so makes it free.
3) Game does really well and gets > 50,000 downloads.
4) Dev still wants to make some $$$ off his game, so adds a "donate" feature to app which points users to another app dev has created in the marketplace where they can donate by buying the app.
5) Dev wants to reward those who have donated by providing new features only to them.
How do I go about determining if any given user has purchased either my original app, or my "donate" app so that I can unlock functionality? I'd like to determine this even if the user no longer has the app installed on their phone. Then android market app seems to know this which is how it knows not to charge the user again for the same app they've already paid for.
I recently loaded an update to the Bedside (Night Clock) paid application. The shortcut I had on my Android desktop changed from the bed icon to a gear icon. I dragged the gear icon to the trash with the intention of re-adding the bed icon from the all programs screen. Sadly, there is no entry for Bedside on the All Programs screen!
I can run the program using many clicks by going to Market > My Downloads > Bedside > Open. Is there a way to add an installed app into the All Programs screen without root? Note: if I long click on the desktop and try to add an app, Bedside also doesn't show up in the resulting list. It is installed because I can run it through Market. I have considered uninstalling and reinstalling but am unsure if I will be charged again.
I just noticed while upgrading from the "pulled" 2.2 to the "official" 2.2 some of my purchased apps are no longer available from the market. Cannot be found at all. Someone said that Google has to approve every new ROM to get complete access to the market. I was just wondering if it is I who have the glitch or if anyone else has the same problems. I have heard from two other sources (in Sweden) who have the same issues.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm new to this, but when I look in Market I sometimes can't find certain apps. Was just looking for Where (where.com) a good travel app and it's not in there. Also when I install Yelp, it installs but immediately closes when I try to launch.
Is this a canada thing or what? Is the firmware so old that these phones are useless?
yesterday I reflashed a tablet with a clean install of cm7, factory reset clear cache etc. Latest Gapps.
I set up the main account with a gmail account I made for my kids because the device is mainly used by them. I added my own google account so it can be used with the play store to redownload all the apps I have purchased for them. I have set the play store to use my google account.
But all the apps I have previously paid for have their price listed beside them in the store, rather than saying "purchased". If I try to buy them again it gives me message saying there was an error with the transaction.I have set up a device with 2 accounts like this before and it worked ok.
After doing a factory reset I no longer have some of the apps that came with the phone such as NFL, Nascar, Bejeweled, and facebook. Also I dont have a widget for sprint TV. I am running Zefies cl14 and 10.3 kernel. I did not remove these apps thru rooting. Where did these apps go?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Froyo on an N-1.I have uninstalled some of the apps that I previously purchased, and I no longer want them to appear in the Downloads area of the Market app. However, they still show up there with the "Purchased" designation, and they contribute to the count of updated apps whenever Market checks for updates.I have followed the instructions here, but they do not work for me:Removing deleted apps from downloads listing.Any ideas as to how I can keep these non-longer-installed, previously purchased apps from showing up within my list of Downloads?
