Just as the title says. I am a rooting nob and are running the latest version of the radioactive rom. i wanna bring my phone back to 100% stock. Bone stock if you will. How do i get there?

I tried flashing stock back on my phone on two different cpu's and two different roms. I was running joey's rom and now I'm running ultimate dream's rom I think it's called. Whenever I try to flash it with the updater it just hangs and in the progress bar it just says ready. Any suggestions?

And if I ship it back today (8/22) and they don't receive it until say the 26th or 27th, can I still argue that I returned it within the return period?
I think I read somewhere that the hardware is multi-touch capable.. so, pinch to zoom should be do-able with software, yes? Does anyone know (for sure) if the upcoming Android 2.1 release will bring that to the Moment?

However, resetting the phone in any way did not bring back the default software! What can I do at this point to get it back?

View 20 Replies View Relatedwhere I have got right now on my phone, which is:
1. I updated to stock 2.1 using the sprint update tool.
2. I followed the video tutorial to root the phone
3. then i used joey's page (http://www.joeyconway.com/sdx/custom/index.php) to install the his kernel (joeykrim-SDX-kernel v2.0.4 (includes root)).
I have done nothing else to the phone but this and removing a couple of bloatware apps (i checked the list of permitted deletions before i removed anything.) I have not installed a new recovery..at least i dont think that I did as part of one of the other operations I performed (as an aside, i am not really sure what the custom recovery is or what it is used for, so i didnt install it...i guess i need to read up more...)
So that is where I am..but i have a couple of questions.
1) i am now having issues with my wifi connection - the signal reception is very spotty in areas where i should have atleast 2 bars of reception, and the wifi often cuts out completely....Is there any know corellation between joey's kernel and this wifi issue? I have searched the forums and have found nothing that answers this.
2) Is there an easy way to get back to the stock kernel? I have read that i can get back to stock everything by using the sprint download center where I did my original 2.1 update. But is there a way to get back to just the stock kernel without wiping the phone?
what do i need to root this phone. any help is greatly appreciated. it is stock with the DE03.

Google did my contacts, but not my text. I see my text in my gmail, but how do I put them back on my phone, as well as my apps. I set my phone to talk the callers name or the phone number of the caller if the incoming call is not on my contacts list.I have tried for ways to take the phone back to a normal ring without success. I do not want people hearing who the call is from.I am at a loss as to how to shut this feature down.

It has now disappeared and I cant find the information under Display, gestures & buttons to get it back. There is only 'notification flash' there but not like 'numerical notification'. I am in Australia and have been to my local Telstra store yesterday but they were not able to quickly bring it back. They said to wait for a technician but I did not have time to hang around.
