I set my phone to talk the callers name or the phone number of the caller if the incoming call is not on my contacts list.I have tried for ways to take the phone back to a normal ring without success. I do not want people hearing who the call is from.I am at a loss as to how to shut this feature down.

I have searched before posting this thread so please forgive me if I missed it somewhere. I have a stock Moment running cl14. I have made ring tones & placed them in the appropriate folders. Sometimes when I receive a phone call, the only way I know it is because my bluetooth will beep in my ear. The phone lights up & caller id kicks in but I get no sound & no vibrate. I can call the phone & actually see the symbol for "silent mode" pop up & disappear when the phone rings. I then have to go to the Sound & Display tab & re-choose the ring tone I already have selected from the list to get audible ring tones. Can anyone shed light into this?
Also sometimes my personalized ring tones for contacts will not play, or more like play the 1st time they call & play the default ring tone the 2nd time they call.
I am hoping this is just a setting somewhere I am missing. While I am on the Internet my Moment will not let me know if someone is calling. It sends the caller directly to voicemail without even ringing on their end. I have only had the phone for 4 days after switching from a Blackberry Curve. I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted the Moment or the Tour. I chose the Moment but if the phone will not ring while I am surfing the Internet...it really is not going to work out.

Anyone know where I can find, say, a Samsung or Sanyo ringer pack? Or a bunch of standard cell phone ringers? I've searched the android market and several apps therein and can't find what i'm looking for.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay so i created a folder on my sd card called ringers, worked great for allowing me to use my mp3 files that i croped for my ringtones, however when the phone rings it doesnt ring at the desired volume from the begining, it vibrates only for 1 pulse then the volume slowly comes in from min to the desired level it is as if it is set to escalating. I have searched through all the settings but if there is a way to turn this off i have missed it. I know the mp3 file doesnt escalate because i use the same file on my moment and it rings at full volume from the beginning.

I finally updated my moment and I need help getting it back to how it was. I backed up all my apps, text and calls, but I don't know how to get them back on the phone. Google did my contacts, but not my text. I see my text in my gmail, but how do I put them back on my phone, as well as my apps. I went to the market and downloaded Astro as b4, and I went to my sdcard and to the folder named backup, but what's next?

I was running joey's rom and now I'm running ultimate dream's rom I think it's called. Whenever I try to flash it with the updater it just hangs and in the progress bar it just says ready. I have found a few on the Market but so far none are filling the bill as to what I need. Basically I have a little hearing loss so prefer basic tone type ring tones rather than a tune or clip from some song or movie. Funny but I kinda like the ring tone of the old standard phone ringer. Can someone suggest something on the Market or some other alternative? I suppose it's as easy as downloading anything using my computer and sending it to my cell phone and using it from there.

The screen will go dark as if to boot up but just ends up going back to the Samsung glowing letters. This phone is a mess! Why would they release something so unstable?

Now after the update - my text notification ringer goes off when I plug in and unplug the charger. I tried turning off the "Notification Ringtone" - and that worked to kill the charger plug/unplug sound - but it also turned off the ring when I get an incoming text. That just will not work - turning that on and off all the time. Is there a way to just disable the sound when the charger is plugged/unplugged?

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I first bought it, I was not happy with the features it was offering so I searched and found out about the CM7(Cyanogenmod 7) mod, and decided that I wanted to try out a modded phone. I've been using CM7 for a few years now and have just plain become unhappy with what they're putting out and decided that I finally wanted my phone back to being normal and rooted. I booted into my clockworkmod(after backing up all apps/data with TitaniumBackup pro & taking pics/vids/etc off through USB) and decided to wipe my sdcard and all other options that Clockworkmod offers. After doing that I realized I made a horrible mistake...every time I go to reboot my phone, it ends up back at the boot menu and at the top it says "Fastboot Mode - No boot or recovery IMG" how would I go about resetting my phone back to a normal OS without being able to transfer stuff onto it without it being booted and having a USB option.

I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image.
