So my Samsung Moment was going pretty slow so I thought I'd reboot it to refresh it but now it just stays on the Samsung glowing sign. The screen will go dark as if to boot up but just ends up going back to the Samsung glowing letters. This phone is a mess! Why would they release something so unstable?

I don't know what has caused this but each time I reboot my wireless is on and the screen timeout is set to 30 sec(my setting is 10min) even after adjusting it reverts back to these settings on reboot. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust got the 2.1 update for my Moment. Have a problem. I leave my phone on at night on the charger. I get up way earlier then my wife. Now after the update - my text notification ringer goes off when I plug in and unplug the charger. I tried turning off the "Notification Ringtone" - and that worked to kill the charger plug/unplug sound - but it also turned off the ring when I get an incoming text. That just will not work - turning that on and off all the time. Is there a way to just disable the sound when the charger is plugged/unplugged?

She has only had two major issues with the phone ever.
Other than the usual bluetooth just not connecting and needing repair every once in a while, her biggest issue has been when she turns on the headset, the phone automatically dials the last person she called. She has to catch it and stop the dialing.
Do all headsets do this? I did not see anyone else posting this problem.
Anyone have a rec for a good one for the Moment? Perhaps a Jabra or Blue Ant?
(Her second problem is sometimes her face activates the mute while on a call)
Other than that, she loves the phone and I am very impressed with it myself.
I finally updated my moment and I need help getting it back to how it was. I backed up all my apps, text and calls, but I don't know how to get them back on the phone. Google did my contacts, but not my text. I see my text in my gmail, but how do I put them back on my phone, as well as my apps. I went to the market and downloaded Astro as b4, and I went to my sdcard and to the folder named backup, but what's next?

I was running joey's rom and now I'm running ultimate dream's rom I think it's called. Whenever I try to flash it with the updater it just hangs and in the progress bar it just says ready. At that point, my moment started giving a low memory message, it began rejecting messages and voice mail. Basic phone and message functions turned off, and it told you so, all because of low memory, the blue tooth wouldnt function. View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought an HTC First a few weeks ago ( I think lol) and love it so far. So earlier today at school I was on my phone, and nothing was wrong. I put it in my pocket and about 20 minutes later I pulled it back out and it was dead. Odd, because it was almost full before. So I thought, whatever I'll charge it at home. So after school I put it on charge and the red light wasn't blinking. I gave it around 30 minutes and still nothing. It's been a few hours and still, it isn't charging or turning on. I tried holding power/vol+/vol- for more than 2 minutes. I have warranty but HTC said if I send it in I'll be forced to pay to replace the screen too, which has a TINY crack on the corner .

Im happy to have upgrade to android .The only problem i have had so far is when i turned the phone off and try to restart it would freeze and have the android logo replay but never get to the home screen. Had to force recover mode 3 times. I'm guessing some app that force the phone to stay awake might be causing this . The phone worked great all afternoon after I got it but 30 minutes ago I pulled it out to enter something into my calendar and it was off. I tried to turn it on but it seems dead.The battery has at least 40% remaining last time I looked and it is charging right now just in case. Anybody else have this happen? Is there some special way to turn this on that I don't know about? I held down the hang up button to turn it on and it is not working.Any ideas? (The Sprint rep at the store where I swapped with the other person said the warranty sticks to where ever the ESID is active - meaning on my account so I do have the warranty for it).

I've had my phone for exactly 1 week, and after reading all the horror stories of people experiencing the random shut offs, I thought I was lucky up until now. I love this phone a lot despite the obvious GPS issues. Does anyone have any idea on what may be causing this? Hardware or Software issue?I would hate to exchange it for another with AT&T since I've become so attached to it.
My fiance has a moment and we wanted to know how to back up her app data before we update to 2.1 without rooting the phone.I know that contacts and e-mails are synced but what about app data?I tried a quick search but found nothing.
