General :: Adding Power To MHL Adapter For Samsung S4?
Apr 18, 2014I am hooking up my Samsung s4 to my tv to mirror the image on my phone. I read that a lot of people are having problems finding adapters that can charge the phone while using the hdmi adapter. I was wondering if I took the cable going from the adapter to the phone and if I spliced into it and added another source of power that was 5 volts would that make up for the lack of power coming out of the hdmi adapter or would that damage my phone. I attached a picture for reference.

I bought a mini to micro USB adapter so that I could use the kit with the new Desire HD, but when I plug the new phone to the micro USB adapter the Desire HD just shuts down and I have to remove and replace the battery to get it working again.

Feb 16, 2010Anyone else had an issue with powering up? I now have to push all of my power cords down to get a charge now. If I just plug it into the phone, no charge. It's until I jiggle the cord, is when I get a charge.
Anyone else had this issue? I might take it back in for a new one soon.

It goes in and out too if I turn the jack while its plugged in. I tried several headphones that I know have no problem with them. Has anyone else had this problem? Jul 25, 2010When I plug in the micro-usb plug into the droid x it doesn't seem to charge the batteries and I have to unplug the A/C wall plug and replug it before it will start charging. I have looked at the status when I first plug in the USB port into the droid x and it says "power source plugged into USB" and then status is discharging. This doesn't seem normal to me, and I don't see why I have to unplug and replug the A/C plug everytime. Is there some chip which is just not registering correctly? Do I need to go to a verizon store and get it checked out?

Apr 17, 2010When I connect my phone to my computers (Win 7 or 2 XP machines) it always connects as A/C and not as USB. I downloaded the Samsung USB drivers and this worked on the Win 7 machine for a while but then started connected as A/C again. Un-installed and installed the drivers again but they do now work now. The Samsung drivers did not work on either of the XP machines. So, as of now I think it is the phone? I do have the Power Manager app installed and the phone still connects as A/C with it running or not.

The phone rings and the speaker works but it will not play Pandora, will not play MP3 files stored in the SD card, it will not play voice mail and it will not play stored ring tones? Feb 19, 2010Is it true that using a Task killer, actually opens your apps. I have noticed I will power on my phone and all of my apps will be their in the list. Also I have heard that that means they are ready to use but not neccesarily on. However, I kill all the tasks and still some will open a minute or two later, when I didnt open them. Its starting to bug me. I have Bettercut, with a few programs with different icons, and have beautiful widgets on one of the screen, with the silent, vibrate, and airplone widget. Swiping screens is really slow and laggy, I am not rooted or anything. I have the c14 update, is their any helpful way to fix this.
Also I will only have 30 Mbs open after 5 minutes of restarting the phone.
And don't say whats the big deal, if its working. Having more memory available makes apps runs smoother and faster.
Samsung Moment :: Handcent Playing First Song In Music Folder
Apr 9, 2010I recently copied all the files on the sd card that came with my moment and put them on an 8gig card. Also created a music folder and stuffed it full of my favorite tunes. Now when I get a text in Handcent it plays 2pac (the first song in the folder) The whole song~! I also downloaded mixzing to listen to my music. After this happened I uninstalled mixzing but that didnt help. I can change the notification sound in handcent but that dont work. Any idea why handcent is firing up my music player or folder? Im back to using the stock player but it still happens.

Nov 30, 2009What I am needing is some ring tones other than the default ones that come on this phone. I have found a few on the Market but so far none are filling the bill as to what I need. Basically I have a little hearing loss so prefer basic tone type ring tones rather than a tune or clip from some song or movie. Funny but I kinda like the ring tone of the old standard phone ringer. Can someone suggest something on the Market or some other alternative? I suppose it's as easy as downloading anything using my computer and sending it to my cell phone and using it from there.
