View 5 RepliesI live in the UK and have ordered my Nexus One from the US, without a UK adapter. My question is what voltage the standard AC adapter uses, as the UK runs 240V typically. I can get hold of a cheap US-UK power adapter that doesn't do any voltage changes, so I was wondering whether that would be sufficient. Does anyone have any experience with this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am hooking up my Samsung s4 to my tv to mirror the image on my phone. I read that a lot of people are having problems finding adapters that can charge the phone while using the hdmi adapter. I was wondering if I took the cable going from the adapter to the phone and if I spliced into it and added another source of power that was 5 volts would that make up for the lack of power coming out of the hdmi adapter or would that damage my phone. I attached a picture for reference.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if anyone knows of an adapter that will convert the proprietary HTC USB interface (is this Mini USB?) to a standard Micro USB so I can use all of my existing adapters and chargers? Why can't manufacturers adhere to one standard? My Omnia was even worse, had to buy special cables & chargers for that as well.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHow do I power the phone off? Is there a manual somewhere out there? Mine only came with a book called 'Tips, Hints and Shortcuts.' I have a mac... is there anyway to sync this to my computer? Also how do I put files onto the phone... I have mounted the phone onto computer and can see it but I don't know where to put the files. When using the phone, can you rename folders? How do you manage these folders? Also is there a way to remove all the crap software that comes loaded.... amazonmp3, no thanks!.... Peep, no thanks!.... I read about "rooting" but this seems complicated, is there maybe an application that does it for you?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had an issue today where I took the phone out of my pocket to check the time and it was powered off. I went to turn it on and no skateboarding-robot love. I thought the battery might have died, but one hour and two different chargers later, it still did not turn on. My co-workers Eris was the test subject for the battery and other components. It would not turn on at all and there was no charging light showing, either.
I called Verizon and I should have my replacement device on Thursday. Until then, I'm rocking (if you'd call it that) a Blackberry Tour. It feels weird. Other than Google Voice I doubt I'll even install any apps....
I wonder if I'll get one with 1.5 and I can root it. I had already installed 2.1v2 on it. I am excited about rooting, wifi tether, and so on. There's some great ROMs out there. I actually hope it does NOT come with 2.1 already. I'll fill all of you in!
I've had my Eris for 2 months now and my End/Power button is becoming depressed, i.e., flush in height with the phone. I wonder if anyone else has had this become an actual issue, or if it happens to anyone else at all?

View 19 Replies View RelatedAnyone else had an issue with powering up? I now have to push all of my power cords down to get a charge now. If I just plug it into the phone, no charge. It's until I jiggle the cord, is when I get a charge.
Anyone else had this issue? I might take it back in for a new one soon.
Does this ever happen to you? Whenever I power my phone off and on or just turn it on after it dies, it will send old SMS messages to the same people. For instance, a text that I sent days ago will send again on power on and sometimes this gets kind of awkward does anybody know a fix or anything to this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the life of me, I can't seem to get to the power bar widget. I want a shortcut on my home screen. I have tried the method of: long press Home Screen>HTC Widget and I don't see it available there. Is it possible I deleted it? Can I get it back?
Thanks. I tried searching but could not find anything.
For some reason the power control widget won't activate my wireless. It will turn green, but won't connect. I have to go through Settings/Wireless & networks/ then tap Wifi Settings, and it will automatically connect. I don't have to choose a network, I just tap on Wifi Settings and then it connects.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo last night I lost my end/power key function. The phone would not sleep when I hit the key, i would have to wait till it went on standby by itself. I tried some other things and realized that it was a software issue. I can hang up calles and I can bring it out of standby. it would go back into standby by hitting the key as long as I didnt unlock it. So I reinstalled 2.1. Well I got my end/power function back, but now my HTC clock/weather widget just says My Location. when I try to manually enter a city its not found. some major ones are listed but not many are not. GPS is on. Any ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedCan I use my Blackberry charger on my Eris? My chargers are next to each other and I accidentally plugged it in the other day. It fit and the Eris's battery indicator showed that it was charging. I immediately unplugged it for fear of doing it harm. Are they compatible from a power perspective?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there an app out there that will tell you which apps/widgets are responsible for power drain?
in a perfect world, it would show which apps are running and how much power or wake time they are using. i've tried to turn off as much as i can, yet my battery life still sucks sometimes, and i'd like to find out what is responsible for it so i can change that setting.
most of the power management apps i've seen just tell you battery level and health.
My HTC Eris' battery went dead last night. I plugged it into the charger and tried to restart it, but it won't go past the Verizon Wireless screen. I've tried removing the battery numerous times, but it still won't go past that screen. Any suggestions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSorry if this has already been asked somewhere because i know its a pretty simple question but i couldnt find the answer anywhere on the forum.
what is the output specs on the HTC Eris power supply/charger? (volts, amps)
Anybody out there see what I'm seeing? It seems as if the power/sleep button is a bit more recessed than the phone/talk button that pops out a little more. Could this just be from heavier use since I am always hitting the sleep button after phone use? Or, is this a HTC design to prevent you from hitting the button as easily. Not really a huge difference here just enough to feel if you run your finger over both of them. Wondering if it will get lower over time? Good ol' ocd flaring up again.
View 12 Replies View RelatedReceived my 2.1 OTA at 1:36 AM last night and ever since, I can't manually lock my phone by short pressing the power button anymore. I thought maybe this was a Spare Parts issue, since I had changed the Power Button behavior on 1.5 using Spare Parts (when I pressed Power from any screen, it would return me Home; pressing from Home would Lock). So, I uninstalled Spare Parts, but this didn't remedy my problem. Any advice?

View 23 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine just rooted the other day using the Root for Dummies thread, (the same as I used months ago), and loaded up Kayosfroyo 35-1. He is now attempting to flash nonsensycal 8.2 Black. Well he downloaded the rom but when he tries to power up the phone using volume up it just boots up regular. He doesn't get the options for Nand Backup Reboot Flash etc. Volume down works but he gets a different set of menu items.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any luck with aftermarket power supply's. I'd like a car/ac charger or a stand alone power pack. I usually use my DEXIM. but it does not work with the Behold 2. I've tried a car charger/battery unit by Wireless Gear that said it was compatible with all Samsung phones, it came with 5 power tips and a USB outlet that still would not work, even using the OEM USB cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will go with OEM Samsung if necessary, but there selection is limited.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've seen discussions on how to use your android phone as several different things, ranging from a wireless hot spot to a keyboard/mouse. There are instructions all over on how to tether your phone to use it as a wireless modem, but I've never seen mention on whether or not it was possible to use an android phone as a USB blue tooth adapter. My Android phone is blue tooth enabled, but neither of my laptops are. Is there any way to use the phone as a blue tooth adapter when connected to the laptop via the USB cable (giving the laptop blue tooth capabilities)? I know I can always just buy an adapter from the store, but I wanted to see if this was a possibility first.
