Jul 12, 2010I just got my moment on Saturday and I noticed that when I am using it a lot like browsing the web or playing music it's get hot. Is this normal?

Samsung Moment :: Phone Not Playing Back Any Music
Sep 13, 2010My phone all of a sudden is not playing back any music. The phone rings and the speaker works but it will not play Pandora, will not play MP3 files stored in the SD card, it will not play voice mail and it will not play stored ring tones? Any way to troubleshoot or should I jut get a new phone? Even with the insurance they want $100, thieves. First they don't release 2.2 and now this.

Apr 9, 2010I recently copied all the files on the sd card that came with my moment and put them on an 8gig card. Also created a music folder and stuffed it full of my favorite tunes. Now when I get a text in Handcent it plays 2pac (the first song in the folder) The whole song~! I also downloaded mixzing to listen to my music. After this happened I uninstalled mixzing but that didnt help. I can change the notification sound in handcent but that dont work. Any idea why handcent is firing up my music player or folder? Im back to using the stock player but it still happens.

Nov 6, 2009This is driving me nuts. When I get in my car and bluetooth connects to the phone, the phone automatically starts playing music through BT audio. I cant find any way to disable it short of turning off BT and I dont want to do that as I play Slacker through BT. Is there an option Ive missed to disable autoplaying of music?

Oct 15, 2009I used my Hero this morning/afternoon with music, wi-fi, internet browsing, and I used up the first half of the battery. And after that, I have been mostly studying and not using my phone... but the second half of the batter drains, it seems like, FASTER than the first half did! No music playing, no wi-fi, no internet browsing? Is this normal? Is it just the nature of these batteries?

May 18, 2012I have a bunch of MP3s on a windows PC shared over wifi LAN.
I want to use a old android device to plug into speakers in another room and access the shared files, search/filter and queue, play songs on the phone.
I know I could run a shoutcast server and just queue up songs on the pc but I would love to be able to use some sort of app that can scan all the shares and create a database that can be easily filtered/searched on the phone.

Samsung Moment :: Internet Browsing Stops Working Intermittently
Jan 11, 2010I am tempted to take my moment back despite liking it so much. Recently, when I was using the browser or anything that uses the 3g connection, it would just stop communicating and nothing would get loaded. If I waited a while (an hour) it would sometimes come back or I would have to do a reboot in order to get back the connection. Anyone else running into this problem? What should I do?

Mortplayer really stutters and lags (a lot to the point I thought the program completely stopped) while browsing for folders; once inside the folder, the player is fine though. Also tried Meridian and the program took too long to load; it is also not responsive enough for my taste. Basically, I'm looking for an app that can play music by folder - that is as responsive and smooth as FolderPlay on Symbian S60, or the stock player on SE UIQ. Off topic: Really like the Galaxy S' gorgeous screen but also regret getting it at the same time. I guess I have too much expectation for it. I mean with its high end CPU and GPU, I expect it to be like super fluid but it takes longer to start up and to make a phone call than the 5800. Will hard resetting the phone and installing less apps help? I didn't really install that many apps, only about 9 pages filled.

Aug 7, 2010I have a little over 20GB of music. I installed half on the players memory itself and the other half on an external micro sd card that has been inserted into the phone. Before transferring my music onto the phone and memory card, it was all under folders on my hard drived base MP3 player. I really like plug-and-play type MP3 players, non-Apple, and just simply had all my music in folders from A-Z and then the each different Band in a different sub-folder. I am not concerned with tags or album art. Since the phone comes with 16GB, I have to divide all my music half and half.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to have all the music lumped into one like it was on my old MP3 player?
2. I cant seem to browse the music by folders. I want to have my music set up as 26 different folders from A-Z, then have the Bands seperated by folder WITHIN that folder
I tried downloading MortPlayer and Astro Player, but it doesnt seem to work right. Are there any settings on the phone to manage my music this way?
Samsung Vibrant : Playing Music Through Car's USB Port
Sep 11, 2010I have already searched the forums. I saw some vague answers and not were particular to the vibrant. Anyways, I was very excited I got the 32gb memory card. Now, the downside is that I still have to use the AUX input to play music. It's very inefficient to lose the concurrent charging capability by ignoring the USB output right next the the 1/8.This seems like a major negative on the part of this phone.There really has to be a way to get the head unit to communicate with a phone with such incredible technologies.Ideas guys? How can I do it?

Dec 10, 2009I have a 16gb card and I have my music in a folder called music. For some reason the music player isnt seeing all my music. I have made changes to folders names just to see if the app recognizes the changes, even removed some music, but when I load the card the music app dosent see the changes. Its like its somehow cached. I have gone in the "settings/applications/manage applications/music/" and cleared the cache, but under "settings/applications/manage applications /music player" it wont let me clear the cache. I have also noticed that certain folders have different album art thats ok not worried about that just want all my music to show. have any of you ran into this problem or know how to have it reload the music on the memory card ?

I figured out how to get the music on the it finally (even after Sprint tech told me it could not be done) but now I can't use "Ringdroid" because it says it doesnt allow "gma" yet. How do I convert files? And to what? BTW, when playing "Music" it does not turn off/stop. I can pause it and back out of the program but when I come back in it still in the pause mode. Dec 21, 2009I've tried to put 3 CD's worth of stuff onto my phone's SD card. Yes, there is enough space, yes it is working. No problems there. The thing is, all the songs I upload to it are put under the 'Unknown Artist' category. Yes, they all have titles, and artist names under them as well as album names, I only buy CD's or songs legit. Why can't I organize them? It's almost keeping me from using my phone as an MP3 player which is one reason I bought it.
