I have a pop 3 email account set up. When I delete and email it goes into the delete folder. Fine I get that. But is there a way to delete the contents of the delete folder? Is there a way to select multiple emails to delete at one time instead of doing 1 by 1?

my htc hero wont pick up my gmail emails anymore??? did to start with but now it wont?? i have tried to add another e-mail address onto the handset and gave the correct pop3 settings but all i get is 'cannot connect to the mail server to verifiy your account information, your server is not repsonding'

Or at the very minimum, be able to empty the trash folder in one step without having to individually select each email to be deleted. Is either of these possible and I'm just missing something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a few hotmail accounts and I access them via Live Mail on my work computer and my home computer as well as my hero. If I delete them on my home computer they still show up on my hero (Same with my work computer, delete and stills hows on my hero). What settings do I need to flip so that if I delete the emails on one system they don't show up on any of the other systems. (same with showing read). Is it a matter of IMPA vs POP3? It gets annoying to have to delete 30+ emails every morning on my hero after I've read them on my PC.

Well, after 2 calls to customers care I am still getting the same error. I have full internet access, data capability and even setup my gmail account as the email to use. I can send and receive email/sms/mms, calls, etc... Anyone else have something for me to try before returning the phone to Sprint? (it was purchased at BB).
I'm having trouble sending emails with my pop email account (cox communications). I receive emails fine. However, I get a message stating "unable to send email." I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the SMTP information stating "unable to connect to the mail server, server not responding." Is there another email program I could try?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my Epic setup to poll my corporate POP3 mail server every 10 minutes.When I arrived at work this morning I changed the polling to "Never" on my Epic, and opened Outlook on my PC.I received an error indicating the the POP3 server was locked by another session.I turned off my Epic and a minute or so later, Outlook was able to successfully connect.How can this be avoided? Am I not completely closing out of the Email session on my Epic?

I didn't feel like arguing since I already have one so I let him do it. Once I got home, I setup my account and sync'd all of my email and contacts, but I cannot delete the original account he setup off the phone. I also cannot sync my calendar through my account. The phone is only wanting to sync the calendar with the account he set up. Can someone offer advice on how to delete the account he setup? BTW, I have gone in and tried to delete the account, but the phone tells me applications need this account and in order to delete it, I will have to reset the phone to all defaults and all information will be lost.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the Samsung fascinate which runs android 2.1 (eria) and found online before i bought it that the phone could support 2 exchange server emails. i have set up my first email through the setup and selected exchange as the server. now the problem arises, when i go into link up my other exchange email account i enter in the info then click automatic setup, it brings me to manual setup automatically everytime and wont allow me to select exchange as the server. it only gives me the options of imap and pop3, neither of these thus far will work and link my second email, i called my it dept and got the port numbers and all that when entering them into the imap and pop3 setup but it will not work. is there anyway around this or how do i setup to exchange server emails on this device.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI go to the trash icon on the email app and go to delete the emails from 2 weeks. It takes FOREVER to delete them all. And I still havent deleted all of them. I go to delete like 4 of them and it takes at least 10 seconds just to delete 4 of them.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some very annoying email problems that I have fought with for almost a week, researched and tried multiple programs, and followed about every tutorial on this and similar sites to make work. My school system's email provider is junk, but since I'm a traveling teacher (I bounce between schools) it is very important that I be able to receive and reply to emails from administrators and other teachers. I'm coming from five years of Blackberry email, where all it took was inputting my address and password in the BIS email page and never having to give it a second thought.
So far, here's a rundown on what's happened and what I've tried:
1. Using My Accounts and the stock email program, my email address has been added. It will not connect when set up as a POP3 account; I must set it as an IMAP account to retrieve any emails. No matter what port setting I use (25 or 587), I cannot send or reply to email.
2. Using K-9 email, I am able to download email as POP3 with standard settings (port 110). As with the built-in client, I am unable to reply to or send emails.
3. Before you ask, 587 never worked. I've tried.
4. The email address is configured in accordance with our service provider's instructions..
5. This issue has occurred in the same manner on both 2.1 and 2.2.
