I go to the trash icon on the email app and go to delete the emails from 2 weeks. It takes FOREVER to delete them all. And I still havent deleted all of them. I go to delete like 4 of them and it takes at least 10 seconds just to delete 4 of them.

I�m new to android, so I don't know if this is an android thing or Captivate (came from BB). Every time I check my email from my desktop, it disappears from my phone. Is there a way to keep the emails on my phone until I delete them like the BB?
View 10 Replies View Relateddoes anyone else have this issue where the deleted emails do get deleted but I get a notification within a minute that says 'new emails' and it will tell me that I have x new emails (x=number of emails I just deleted)but those emails are not actually there, just the notification comes up.I just clear it and all is good but i'm curious if anyone else has this issue.

Horrible battery life and worst of all it takes insane amounts of time for it too charge. Yes I have reset my phone many times and even did a factory reset. Is this happening to anyone else?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was taking a picture with my phone a little bit ago, and my phone locked up. None of the buttons would work and I couldn't hold power button down or nothing. So I pulled my battery out, let it sit for about 5min and put it back in. Now it's been about 10min and still on the "AT&T World Phone" screen. I'm going to just leave it on that screen and hope the battery dies all the way soon, then hook it up to the wall and see if it will turn on. I know the iphone has a way where you can reset a phone if it locks up, and of course i have my numbers backed up to my google account so I'm not worried about that. Don't really care about the videos/pictures I have on ther ebecause I typicall upload to youtube/flickr right after I take them.

When I delete a email on the phone, it deletes it on my email server and deletes it on my office comp. I would like to delete them on the phone but have them remain on the office server. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have looked and cannot find the answer to this puzzle. The other day my wife came home and said that while she was talking on the phone she got a text message. She has a "Joe Dirt" sound notification for it and said that it began to play loud in the phone while she was talking. The other person could not hear it but she could. Today I am using RingDroid to make a ring tone and I get a call. The screen switches over to answer or not answer with no other options meanwhile the song is still playing. I figure if I answer the phone the call will over ride the music... wrong! As soon as I answer the music stops in the speaker and starts playing through the ear piece really loud. I can barely hear the other person through the music so I put them on hold while I try to navigate back to ringdroid which has vanished so I can push stop. While I'm trying to get back to it, it finally stops because it was set to play for 30 seconds. I go back to the call and ask if they heard that and they say no. This has to be fixed. What do I need to do?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

One of my biggest peeves is that I can read, or mark as read, a message and then a few hours later it shows as unread again. I have 4 inboxes and this can really get confusing. View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally got my email up and running. Now two different times my mailbox simply emptied. The account was still there and fine, bu tthe emails just went back to 0/0. They are not in Trash, they are gone. I am not sure what I am doing to make the mailbox empty. I tried switching to K-9 but for some reason when I was using K-9 any attachments came in as dat files and I was unoable to view pdf's or Word docs etc when using K-9. Anyone deal with this yet?

As a past Blackberry user as well I have basic functionality needs of a email app and this may be the deal breaker. I have my Exchange account setup and working however when I open or select an email there is no option to move the email to a folder. So am I blind or screwed! My brother has an HTC Incredible and his has an option to Move. Did Samsung hide it?

1. What is Launcher Pro and how exactly is it used.
2. Is there anyway to get push notifications with emails and facebook. Im always having to check my email to see if I have any.
3. What happens when I fill up all 7 pages with apps? Will I not be able to download anymore?
Reason why I ask is because I have a 25 second video that I recorded with my phone and when I try to send it to my buddy through text message it says that the file is too big? So I said give me your email address and I'll send there and lo and behold the file is too big even for email. smh? It's only 25 seconds!

I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi just got a samsung captivate love the phone but am having a couple problems my daughter sent me some ringtones via bluetooth and the rt came in a folder from her samsung impression i moved the music into my music folder out of the bluetooth folder however the empty folders that the music came in are still there. i have attempted the long hold on them to delete them but after about 2 minutes nothing happens. does anyone know how to delete these empty folders?
