I have the Samsung Epic and when I open an email, then delete the email while the email is still open, it auto opens the next email. How can I or is there a setting that turns off this auto open of the next email after I delete an email? After I delete an email, I would just likt it to go back to my Inbox list and NOT open the next email automatically.

My emails constantly disappear. Gmail works fine, but I need my work emails too. My work does not use exchange server it is imap. I use the default android email and k9 email and they both disappear. I also notice that I get only 1 email then when I check my laptop I may have 10 in the inbox. What's up with androids email? I love my epic but coming from a blackberry I can honestly say android email is crap. Does anyone know what to do or have this problem?

When I delete a email on the phone, it deletes it on my email server and deletes it on my office comp. I would like to delete them on the phone but have them remain on the office server. I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI go to the trash icon on the email app and go to delete the emails from 2 weeks. It takes FOREVER to delete them all. And I still havent deleted all of them. I go to delete like 4 of them and it takes at least 10 seconds just to delete 4 of them.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI kept having problems accidentally backing out of the camera mode when taking pictures, then I discovered that if you hit the power button on the phone it will lock the camera "open" so that you can't accidentally hit another button while holding the phone to take a picture. Just hit the power button again to unlock it.

My S4 auto delete my images, videos, music and documents once in a while like twice a month?
Basically, all files from "My Files" folder are deleted. My apps, contacts and sms-es are all unaffected. I don't have any SD card attached.
After that incidence, I decided to factory data reset my S4 as I suspected the software might be corrupted or infected by virus or something. The same thing happened again after 2weeks or so.
Does anybody know if it's possible to slide open the keyboard, but keep the screen locked? I couldn't find any settings connected to this, but even when the keyboard would slide (just a little), the phone would automatically turn on and unlock. I want to prevent that from happening.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo if I have the messaging app open and on screen I don't get a notification sound for the message that I just got sent I have looked into settings and nothing, so if I respond to a message and put the phone down and they respond I dont know unless the app is closed - or I assume the screen is turned off but never tried that. I got 9 text messages from someone and it was important that I respond quickly, well I did and then put the phone down, they texted back 1 min latter and then again 1 min after that and again 1 min after that 8 times, I never saw them until I looked at the screen and that was like 5-6 min latter - screen timeout is set to 2 min but after the text after 1 min it reset that timer and again and again so I never got the message until 5-6 min after it was sent resulting in messages like "hello?" "WTF" "answer" and so on.

On the browser I pressed Menu, More, and deleted all browsing history, data, cache etc. So when I checked in history there wasn't any websites listed. BUT when in the browser you click on the back button, you still can get to the previously seen sites. So how can you totally delete your browsing history?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving issues on our phones to where the Lotus Notes Traveler application will not notify the user that there is new mail until he/she "wakes" up the phone by pressing the power button on. It only happens after the phone has been on for a day or so.Once the power button is pressed that turns the screen on, tons of new mail will come in. Almost like that it doesn't see a data connection until it is turned on.SMS messages and phone calls work fine. "Always On Mobile Data" is set to ON.Also, everything in the application is set to 'Sync all the time'Any ideas what it could be? It seems that the data connection is not notifying the phone until the screen gets turned on.
