Samsung : Galaxy S Cons / What Cases Do You Recommend
Aug 1, 2010I can gladly say that I will be joining the Android platform in a couple days when I get my Samsung Galaxy S, however I'd like to know fr om YOU, experienced SGS users, what are the cons on this phone. Also what cases do you recommend? I am planning on getting a full body invisishield from ZAGG? Your opinion is also welcome!

Jun 20, 2009I have a question for those in the know. I am interested in purchasing an android-capable phone in the near future..I really like what it offers. My brother has a G1 (Mobile USA), which has piqued my interest in the Android platform. My question is: Is the app store synced with every kind of Android-capable phone, or just that specific phone? If I was to buy a HTC Magic, would it use the same app store as the G1? AFAIK, some other major platforms, such as Symbian do not sync, and it's 'every phone for itself', but I was thinking that Android was more synergic.

Nov 5, 2010When connecting my Galaxy-S to the Samsung Kies software, my telephone shows up with an incorrect telephone number. I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

How this can be done in Android?
As in, Say I have a kind of taskbar/toolbar which is part of all views. Is there any way in which Activities from one "Frame" can switch but activity in other frame remains stable?

Jul 30, 2010Not sure this has been posted or not since I hadn't read all of the GPS threads up till now since I didn't think I was having a problem...
When I got the phone I wasn't using a case and the thing locked on to GPS right away. Then I purchased that clear plastic case at&t is selling in their stores. GPS was fine but I hated the case so today I returned it to get the rubber body glove one that was being sold. Tonight I tried using the GPS and suddenly it's not locking on, and when it does lock on it's way off...
Anyone else experiencing this?

Jul 23, 2010I'm just wondering if any of you Legend users out there have a good case? I prefer a slip on one but as we know the Legend's weird (but wonderful) shape makes it quite frustrating to get a case. I, sadly, have already scratched a bit of my Legend and need a case before it gets worse!

Sep 20, 2010So I bought my LG ally and the sales rep walked out with a bunch of cases and asked my favorite color. I chose the clear one. I love the sales rep to death cause he is actually a really good friend, however, I don't feel safe with the cheap-feeling plastic case. Its the clear one that flexes alot and stuff. DOes it really protect it?I had the body glove on my old env touch and, while working on a 3 story roof on the phone, dropped it and it landed straight on concrete. Walked down, picked it up and finished my call. On the other hand, I drop my ally out of my car on accident and the case simply falls off.if theres no benefit, i'm just going to take it off as it looks dumb.

I had a Body Glove one for my previous phone, a Samsung Glyde, worst phone ever made BTW, and it broke within 2 months, and I had another similar one for my Droid, the first one broke in less than a month and the one the store replaced it with broke in just over 2 months. I know I will more than likely not find what I am looking for because the slide out keyboard is a selling point for this phone, but mine keeps sliding out in my pocket and I am concerned that the open portion of the keyboard might bend, flex or crack if it is bent the wrong way.
