Well I really want a case because I know i drop my phone once in a while. I didn't like the clear case to be quite honest, and I was hoping there are some cases that I should be told about. (btw I would rather have a case than a leather pouch but all suggestions are fine ).

Not sure this has been posted or not since I hadn't read all of the GPS threads up till now since I didn't think I was having a problem...
When I got the phone I wasn't using a case and the thing locked on to GPS right away. Then I purchased that clear plastic case at&t is selling in their stores. GPS was fine but I hated the case so today I returned it to get the rubber body glove one that was being sold. Tonight I tried using the GPS and suddenly it's not locking on, and when it does lock on it's way off...
Anyone else experiencing this?
Anyone know where to get some good cases or screen protectors for the captivate?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Captivate (and Galaxy S in general) all come with Swype, right? But Swype isn't a market app right now, right? As in, the HTC Aria can't get it unless it is rooted/worked around (not too hard, but a hassle)
So is the Captivate the only phone on AT&T that can officially have swype? We all know that Apple won't let Swype in their market
Is swype coming to the official android market? is it already there? (I don't have an android, but I want one)

I prefer a slip on one but as we know the Legend's weird (but wonderful) shape makes it quite frustrating to get a case. I, sadly, have already scratched a bit of my Legend and need a case before it gets worse!

I love the sales rep to death cause he is actually a really good friend, however, I don't feel safe with the cheap-feeling plastic case. Its the clear one that flexes alot and stuff. DOes it really protect it?I had the body glove on my old env touch and, while working on a 3 story roof on the phone, dropped it and it landed straight on concrete. Walked down, picked it up and finished my call. On the other hand, I drop my ally out of my car on accident and the case simply falls off.if theres no benefit, i'm just going to take it off as it looks dumb.

I had a Body Glove one for my previous phone, a Samsung Glyde, worst phone ever made BTW, and it broke within 2 months, and I had another similar one for my Droid, the first one broke in less than a month and the one the store replaced it with broke in just over 2 months. I know I will more than likely not find what I am looking for because the slide out keyboard is a selling point for this phone, but mine keeps sliding out in my pocket and I am concerned that the open portion of the keyboard might bend, flex or crack if it is bent the wrong way. Noticed something weird, when i went to bed last night it was at 50% battery, turned the phone off and plugged it in figuring it would charge overnight. however when I turned it on this morning the battery was at 10%. Not sure if this was just a fluke or not (i'm assuming fluke since I don't see any other posts on it). Can't see why it wouldn't of charged, let alone drain the battery.. any ideas? I can assure you it was off all night.So does this phone only charge when on? Something specific to Android or just a fluke maybe something i should think about a return trip to at&t for? Gona see what happens tonight when I do the same thing.
