So has anybody found a slim case that you can have on your Droid while mounted in the media station of GPS car mount? I currently have the invisible shield on my droid but i'm debating about taking it off for a standard case.

I have a Otterbox Commuter case coming in the mail, and would like to get a horizontal car mount to compliment it. Knowing the Motorola mount will not fit... Can anyone share horizontal car mount recommendations?

I had a Body Glove one for my previous phone, a Samsung Glyde, worst phone ever made BTW, and it broke within 2 months, and I had another similar one for my Droid, the first one broke in less than a month and the one the store replaced it with broke in just over 2 months. Is there any decent cases for the Droid?

I know I will more than likely not find what I am looking for because the slide out keyboard is a selling point for this phone, but mine keeps sliding out in my pocket and I am concerned that the open portion of the keyboard might bend, flex or crack if it is bent the wrong way. Maybe I am being paranoid, but it never hurts to be preventative

Its like it wasent even recognizing that it was plugged in. however, I am able to use the same usb cord for my wall charger. is there a problem with my phone, or my computer. IS there any fone protection that will allow me to put it in the station without having to take it out of the every time?I would think this would make the case not stay on so well from repeatedly taking it off and putting it back on.The case I bought, unfortunately, did not come with screen protection like I thought it would. View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't figure out but when my phone is in the dock station the sun is out at night and the moon is out during the day.I've manually set my location so GPS isn't always running, it didn't find the closest weather station to me anyway. It shows the right temp etc., and when I click on the temp it brings up current info w/the correct time but my dang display is backwards! Anyone else show the sun out all night or am I just special?

I would want to reach up and answer the phone and use the phones speaker mode for talking or can be easily removed. Something basically like the bluetooth speakers they have for visors. I always used a dashboard beanbag mount with my Garmin GPS.
I just bought the Droid X Car Mount and I can now use my Garmin beanbag with it by inserting the ball joint into the back of Droid X car mount - fit's perfectly.
I've got a Motorola Milestone and would like to mount it to my Linux (Suse 11.2) without the use of the media cradle. With the cradle, you pop the phone on, connect your USB cable to the cradle and to the computer, and -- very important! -- switch your cradle from "charge" to "sync". Then your Milestone is immediately recognised as a USB mass storage device and all is fine. But without the cradle? The phone charges from USB but won't talk to my Linux. There is absolutely nothing in the syslogs, so it looks like the phone is not behaving as a USB-enabled device. It seems from the above that I should switch my phone from the charging mode to sync, but does anyone know how to do it?
