The way we can do it in HTML, where we have two framesets. If I click a link in one frame then only the other frame(target one) is reloaded, the one from which I clicked is not.
How this can be done in Android?
As in, Say I have a kind of taskbar/toolbar which is part of all views. Is there any way in which Activities from one "Frame" can switch but activity in other frame remains stable?

I DL/d the update today but did not install, don't wanna lose Unrevoked. now it's sitting in my taskbar and I don't wanna install it by accident, so is there a way to remove it from the phone or at least the taskbar?

I accidentally dragged my phone icon from the toolbar on the bottom (where the phone, message, apps & contacts are) to the screen where my other apps are. I go to my apps screen and see it there, go to edit, move it back down and save it. Then when I navigate through my phone a few times it moves itself back where my apps are?? How can I get it to stay on the bottom toolbar where it is supposed to be and stop disappearing and moving back into my apps screen?

My brother has a G1 (Mobile USA), which has piqued my interest in the Android platform. My question is: Is the app store synced with every kind of Android-capable phone, or just that specific phone? If I was to buy a HTC Magic, would it use the same app store as the G1? AFAIK, some other major platforms, such as Symbian do not sync, and it's 'every phone for itself', but I was thinking that Android was more synergic.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was on 2.2 rooted on my droid x. Attempted to install a replacement for the taskbar. The phone is stuck in a boot loop now. I've read about 5,000 different pages saying just use RSD. It all starts by saying; plug the phone in, let the computer detect it, install the drivers.. This is where I'm stuck. The only thing I have access to is the recovery console and the big endless loop. So at no point the phone turns on to the point where the PC will detect it as a device.

What is the best thing you can do with your captivate? Well, I like the navigation and google sky, but most importantly it is a phone. The call quality is good and people can hear me well in the wind. I love the way the phone rests in my hand with its size and shape. Also, it is reported to have a low SAR around .5 Hopefully I'll find another new and amazing use for this device.

Anyway, she absolutely HATES that Motoblur green side-pulling tab thing for answering a phone call. She just can't seem to get the hang of it. View 12 Replies View RelatedSomehow the contacts widget that used to be along the bottom of my screen has disappeared.When I hit applications (circle with six dots in it), then select widgets, I find the Contact widget.When I select and hold, it takes me back to the original screen, and if I hoover over the regular application background or the bottom dock, it makes a green rectangle, seeming to indicate that it is ready to be dropped. However, after I drop it, it just launches Contact, then the widget is gone.
