I can gladly say that I will be joining the Android platform in a couple days when I get my Samsung Galaxy S, however I'd like to know fr om YOU, experienced SGS users, what are the cons on this phone. Also what cases do you recommend? I am planning on getting a full body invisishield from ZAGG? Your opinion is also welcome!

When I got the phone I wasn't using a case and the thing locked on to GPS right away. Then I purchased that clear plastic case at&t is selling in their stores. GPS was fine but I hated the case so today I returned it to get the rubber body glove one that was being sold. Tonight I tried using the GPS and suddenly it's not locking on, and when it does lock on it's way off...
Anyone else experiencing this?
Whats the best screen protector for the Samsung Behold 2?I got one on ebay but its nothing compared to the ones available for the iphone. If someone knows where to get the best one can you direct me to it so i can buy one?And whats the best hard case for the Behold 2. I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI have configured my Samsung Galaxy S using my normal Gmail account. This has helped me to sync the Google Contacts with my phone.
Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
anyone find any good hard shell cases for the samsung moment? I have a touch pro 2 and love the case from seidio but it looks and sounds as if they are not going to be producing one for the moment. I trade/sell phone alot and I always try to keep them as pristine as possible so they look nice.

I am about to make the switch myself and I was wondering if there are any must have apps for a former BB user. I use quicklaunch and berrybuzz and crunch SMS a lot. Are there similar programs?
Lastly I was a crackberry user and frequented there app store. Is there and equivalent? I found the crackberry store sometimes had apps BB app world didn't have.
So I'm considering rooting, but don't quite know what all I will be able to do with it. Just a list of the advantages and risks of doing it would be cool.

I installed something called advanced task manager from the marketplace however I am finding several threads on how its not a good thing for the phone. I have no idea if its good or bad, but I do know that what shows up in the task manager list of running apps is way different than what shows up in the phones running task list - menu/settings/applications/running services. What shows up in task manager is a bunch of stuff that running services don't show. So whats the scoop? To have or not to have?

I'm having some buyers' remorse (annoying interface, keyboard, crashes), and was hoping for suggestions on an alternative. I'm out of my Tmobile contract - so I can hop to another carrier. Can someone suggest a good blackberry-like phone running android? I tried the Motorola Charm, but found it underpowered. Here are my needs - Blackberry-like physical keyboard for 1 handed typing Blackberry-like size (don't really care about having a HUGE screen)
