Those snap on cases that Verizon sells are really bad. I had a Body Glove one for my previous phone, a Samsung Glyde, worst phone ever made BTW, and it broke within 2 months, and I had another similar one for my Droid, the first one broke in less than a month and the one the store replaced it with broke in just over 2 months. Is there any decent cases for the Droid?

Except perhaps screen side camera for video chat. Specs Third Verizon Android Phone has Video Calling? | Android Phone Fans. When I said looks like junk--i mean the actual look of it--not the specs which are decent and the keyboard looks better than droid. 20.3 mm thick. Droid is 13.7. CPU is the Marvell PXA 310, 624MHz. Seems there are two faster versions of this cpu. So this may be old tech. Update: Released in 2007 according to link.

I know I will more than likely not find what I am looking for because the slide out keyboard is a selling point for this phone, but mine keeps sliding out in my pocket and I am concerned that the open portion of the keyboard might bend, flex or crack if it is bent the wrong way. Maybe I am being paranoid, but it never hurts to be preventative

I have read all over the place that there are themes available for different ROMs. However, I am having a very difficult time finding them. I am currently running BB 0.4 and wish to install a theme. I have read that smoked glass is a very cool theme.
Can anyone please help me find themes for BB 0.4. Also, if anyone is willing to throw together a post with links to themes for different ROMs, I will be willing to put your thread in the sticky at the top of this forum. I think it would be a good idea for us "noobs" and veterans to be able to easily find a comprehensive list of themes available for the different ROMs floating around.
I read somewhere on here where there is an app that will give you "ring" tones. I don't care for music or any special stuff, just an effective ring or selection of them. Also, not sure if it is a setting or not, but when it rang this morning it was talking at the same time telling me what the number was that was calling. How do i turn this off?

View 10 Replies View RelatedA few weeks back I started using the full version of droid live (has another name now but I forget it at the moment) to stream various music and talk radio stations (both national and international) The program worked great, as I was able to easly connect and stream music/talk with virtually no drops. There is one local sports talk radio that I listen to the most. All of a sudden, in the last week or so, live has had serious problems connecting to that one specific station. Once connected however, the program actually works fine with no drops. it just takes repeated attempts to get it to connect. I know it is not a signal issue, as I get great 3G in my home and business. Sent an email to the developer a few days ago and have not heard anything back yet. So do any of you know of any decent programs that might rival droid live?

Usually Walmart (where i got my phone) sell the accessories for the phones they sell, but they dont for the droid.I really would like a working gel skin for it.but it says it wont ship til the 16th, and i'd rather get it much sooner.Im having such a hard time finding any accessories. AH! Nothing local has them.the official Motorola droid site seems broken. Shows gel's and stuff for the phone, but cant ever find them on the store page after you click the image.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was in the Verizon store and got a nice ugly orange hard case for it, and we had trouble clipping the piece on the front. We tried it on the demo and it wouldn't work. No big deal..just a bad mold, it happens. I decide to plop it down and get an Otterbox. Same deal. Tried that one on the demo, and it fit. We go back and open a couple more and try them, same deal. The orange one was defective, but the others were not and fit the demo as well as his own personal phone. Our only assumption can be that there is something wrong with the molding on my Droid, not allowing anything to clip on.

Just had a couple of quick questions. Keep in mind we're looking for the *gel* cases for the droid.I know that OEM skins/cases will cost more than the bargain skins/cases on ebay I'm guessing that some of the gel cases that cost more have had some more thought put into them and are probably higher quality (get what you pay for maybe?). I'm basically looking for personal recommendations for a brand or a website that sells GOOD QUALITY gel cases.I'm trying to avoid having to return something because it turns out that the gel case covers up the flash, the keys on the slide out keyboard, or wont allow the phone to be used in the car dock.. That kind of thing. Anyone have any success stories they can share?

However, I kept having the Droid come on in my holster and it was driving me batty how it would unlock on it's own. Then it hit me. The holster clips shut MAGNETICALLY.The Droid thought it was in a multimedia dock so it stayed on while on my side.THAT's why my battery was draining so fast.So, be sure to get a velcro or other type of holster, nothing with magnets.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI picked up my droid, multimedia dock and hard shell clear verizon branded cases this morning (as im sure a lot of you have done also =) However in order to insert the droid into the multimedia dock I must remove the bottom portion of the case. Does anyone know if any other cases will work and not have to be removed? Perhaps the soft gel case that verizon is selling for the droid?

Is one better than the other (hard case vs. rubber)? Also, will putting a case on the phone stop you from being able to slip it into that multimedia station?
