For those of you who have now gotten your phones and upgraded from another android phone - did you sign in to the market/configure the phone with same Gmail account? And what I really want to know - did your previously installed apps (both free and paid) automatically download?

Recently rooted, and Market says there is updates, but it can't update them. The apps were included as part of leedroid 2.2f. I've read that I can use Titanium to uninstall the app (e.g. maps) then install again from the market. Is this correct, don't want to upset anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else experienced an issue I've complained numerous times about yet can't get resolution: When users upgrade our My Coupons app, apparently there is a service left unclosed. Fine. The issue being, the old service code interferes with the new code and users uninstall then reinstall immediately in attempt to resolve. Google registers the uninstalls, but not the reinstalls.
I repeat, the market registers the uninstalls, but prompt reinstallations DO NOT get registered!
I can verify this occurs as each time the app is first run it notifies our servers, and we've got record of each install. This record vastly differs from the statistics google is reporting. These records are verifiably unique users.
Maybe a dumb question but I have 47 updates and just want to have them all update.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using google apps email for several of my websites. the settings are the same as gmail. I am using IMAP.
I setup my @gmail account and one of my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app and regular email app on my phone. I like using the gmail app as my email app since it auto syncs and you dont have to open and wait for sync like you do w/ the regular email app.Now I can't setup my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app. I don't understand on the Adroid phones why email setup is so hard. I had one hell of a time on the X and Inc setting up email. Very buggy and intermittent does anyone know what "your phone may not be provisioned for data services" means?
Well my phone has an option to update all my applications but my wifes does not. Wonder why there is a difference and how to set hers to update all?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI'm rooted and just flashed Super Clean rom from Rom Manager. When I go to update current apps or download new ones, it says "Starting download..." and never stops! After looking this problem up and reading other people's posts who have had similar problems, I've tried clearing all cache and data related to any Google-based app. I've done multiple nandroid backups over the past few weeks and have tried restoring back to them. I've tried factory data reset both from Settings-->Privacy and also from recovery mode in CWM. I'm out of ideas.

I have tried all the 'fixes' mentioned, and I still am not able to download apps from Android Market ('download was unsuccessful').
Anyone else still having this problem? It is getting highly annoying.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got a BOGO with my wife for the Facinate. I switch from a fully rooted/ROMed Incredible. On both our phones, the Market loads and searches VERY slow on WiFi and 3G. My Incrediable loads/searches almost instantly while the Fasinate takes...3, 4, 5,..., 10secs at times. Downloads are slow too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if app updates only show up once you've been in the "Market" or will the notification come up if you haven't opened the market for quite some time?I'm thinking the only time I've received a notification is when I'm in the Market. Is that the case?Other times, I do not get notification, then I'm in Market and I choose "downloads" from the menu and it tells me some of my apps have updates available on my list of downloads. Still no notification.

Buddies now friends stream and swype. I would like to unfreeze the apps. I have super manager installed and I can see that they are still there. Beyond that I have no clue what to do.

One woman says it takes her several "days" to successfully do it (I presume that means multiple attempts spread out over time).Can this be on my end? I upgrade my database on each rev - basically I retreive the user data and stick it in the new database that ships with my app. But I think the complaint is about something different. View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, I have been successfully moving bloatware and other apps I don't use - from Verizon apps to Samsung Widgets. I use LauncherPro exclusively and according to this site, TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex can be removed safely, but he also mentions not to move Launcher.apk, which I don't see in my system folder. When I move it, the phone is operational, but keep getting a force close error for TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex. By moving it back with Root Explorer, it corrects the error immediately.I guess what I am asking is...is it possible to disable the 17MB file of TouchWiz if I am not using it, and if so, how.

Is there an easy way to export a list of all the free Apps I have installed so I can print them out? Too lazy to write them all down but will if I have too. ;<) Also, not quite as important to me but is there an easy to export all the text messages and import them into the replacement phone?
