HTC Eris :: Saving Apps To Sd Card
Aug 6, 2010I finally was able to root my droid eris and was also able to download and install apptoSD2 on my eris and when i click on the app, it tells me i need to partition my sdcard. I selected what i want the FAT32 and the ext2 to be and hit apply and it then tells me it is done and i need to reboot it and has a button to click but it didn't work so i did it by going to power and shutting down and restarting, but nothing happens, i even went back to the app several times after trying it and it tells me the same thing each time. Is there something i am forgetting to do, or what can i do to partition my sdcard and be able to save my apps to my sd card.

Nov 10, 2010A few friends of mine purchased the Fascinate after I got one. I've been supporting their and try to keep them loaded up with all the same customizations that I use. I am wondering if there is a way to export my settings (like saving with Clockwork) but having all of my personal information wiped from the build. Is this possible? How do people create the images we typically download? Would love to be able to load up all the free apps I use and have them be pre-installed if I flash a friends phone.

Oct 19, 2010I am using google apps email for several of my websites. the settings are the same as gmail. I am using IMAP.
I setup my @gmail account and one of my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app and regular email app on my phone. I like using the gmail app as my email app since it auto syncs and you dont have to open and wait for sync like you do w/ the regular email app.Now I can't setup my @myprivatedomain.com emails in the gmail app. I don't understand on the Adroid phones why email setup is so hard. I had one hell of a time on the X and Inc setting up email. Very buggy and intermittent does anyone know what "your phone may not be provisioned for data services" means?
Samsung Fascinate :: Not Recognizing SD Card
Sep 17, 2010My phone is not recognizing my sd card. It is mounted in the phone but none of my pictures show up in my gallery. It says no sd card detected when I open the gallery. Also I can take pics but they do not save to the sd card our anywhere that I can find. I tried unmounting the cars but it stol does not recognize it. However, it does show my music like the card is mounted. It just seems to be a problem with the gallery.

Oct 14, 2010I'm trying to mount my SD card on my MacBook Pro with the stock USB cable. I had a Moto Droid before my Fascinate, and I knew what to do there � turn on USB debugging, then drag down the status overlay and tell it to mount. Voila, drive appears on desktop. Here, though, I can't get that to work. I have debugging turned on, I've told the phone to mount the card over USB, but my Mac doesn't see it. This is a stock Fascinate, about two weeks old and not rooted. I', I've tried both USB ports on my computer, and that hasn't made any difference.

Sep 14, 2010coming from a BB Curve, you can email yourself ring tones or email them to a friend from your device. I tried to email myself a ring tone on my Fascinate and it comes through, gives you the option to preview it, but no option to save it to the sd card. Does anyone know how to do this? I ask because I have friends that swap ring tones around and it is now impossible to do this for me.

Sep 10, 2010The SD card on my samsung fascinate worked fined until I tried to save a sound from a mms. Then my fascinate starting slowing down... until i removed the sd card. Then the phone ran fine.The problem I have is that I tried to format the sd card both by phone, and by computer. However the phone would freeze up if I insert the card, and my computer is unable to format the card. I tried going to controlpanel//administrative tools/computer management -> disk management, but it was unable to format the card.I even tried downloading something called an "sd formatter" however it appears as though my card is "not supported". Does anyone have a solution on how to return it back to normal? It appears as though normal formatting methods are not working.The card came with the fascinate 16gb, class 2 if that helps at all.

Sep 27, 2010So, I have been successfully moving bloatware and other apps I don't use - from Verizon apps to Samsung Widgets. I use LauncherPro exclusively and according to this site, TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex can be removed safely, but he also mentions not to move Launcher.apk, which I don't see in my system folder. When I move it, the phone is operational, but keep getting a force close error for TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex. By moving it back with Root Explorer, it corrects the error immediately.I guess what I am asking is...is it possible to disable the 17MB file of TouchWiz if I am not using it, and if so, how.

Samsung Fascinate :: Apps Closing When Phone Goes Into Sleep Mode
Sep 30, 2010Until yesterday if I had an app like Pandora or ESPN Radio playing/running when the screen kicked off the app would keep playing. However, now when the phone goes to sleep everything else gets shut off. I have not altered anything myself per se. Even uninstalled a few apps like AutoKiller [which I had installed for weeks and everything worked fine with it on and installed] but the problem persists and remains. This really perplexes me as I want/need these apps to play with the screen off like they did before. For the life of me I don't know why this is; nor can I find anything in settings to change.

Nov 30, 2010I'm a new VZ Samsung Fascinate user. I got the phone 4 days ago.
I have noticed that my bars are never full. I even compared it with my friend's Nexus One w/ her T-Mobile service and she had 3 bars when I only had 1.
I constantly get zero or 1 and occasionally 2 if lucky. I thought I was in a bad service area but I'm sitting at home where I had full bars before getting this one - same Verizon.
What could be the cause? Do I need to take it to VZ store (I got the phone from BestBuy) and have them take a look?
My apps - Facebook/Twitter/Google Finance/Etc are all slow and often fail because of low connectivity. It's really annoying and I'm not getting full 3G impact on my phone for $30 that I'm paying!
