View 2 RepliesRecently rooted, and Market says there is updates, but it can't update them. The apps were included as part of leedroid 2.2f. I've read that I can use Titanium to uninstall the app (e.g. maps) then install again from the market. Is this correct, don't want to upset anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had more than one user say they have trouble when they "upgrade" new versions of my app in Android Market. One woman says it takes her several "days" to successfully do it (I presume that means multiple attempts spread out over time). Can this be on my end? I upgrade my database on each rev - basically I retreive the user data and stick it in the new database that ships with my app. But I think the complaint is about something different. Has anyone else received comments about anything similar? I am concerned people uninstall my app just because of this issue,
View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the missing sync from the market on Friday morning. I had to reset my handset because of the default settings of facebook doubled my contacts. Since setting the option of not to sync them doesn't take them away, I had to do a hard reset to get them out. I've downloaded most of my apps again, except Missing Sync. I can find it via the computer, but when I try to find it and download via either appbrain or directly from the market either I can't find it or it will not allow me to install the app with the following error - There are no matches in Android Market for the search:
pname:com markspace.missingsync
Is there a reason I can't find Mobile Defense in the market? Is there a direct download out there?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install angry birds on my Galaxy S. I've found several methods and none of them have worked. The android market does not even list the game in search results. I've tried scanning the barcode from the distributor and that doesn't work either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else experienced an issue I've complained numerous times about yet can't get resolution: When users upgrade our My Coupons app, apparently there is a service left unclosed. Fine. The issue being, the old service code interferes with the new code and users uninstall then reinstall immediately in attempt to resolve. Google registers the uninstalls, but not the reinstalls.
I repeat, the market registers the uninstalls, but prompt reinstallations DO NOT get registered!
I can verify this occurs as each time the app is first run it notifies our servers, and we've got record of each install. This record vastly differs from the statistics google is reporting. These records are verifiably unique users.
For those of you who have now gotten your phones and upgraded from another android phone - did you sign in to the market/configure the phone with same Gmail account? And what I really want to know - did your previously installed apps (both free and paid) automatically download?
View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery once in a while i find an app that I REALLY want, but cant seemt o download it off the market. I get the error message that the requested URL cannot be found.Tonight I am desperately trying to download the TaskPanel Ver X (TaskPanel X v6.6.2 Application for Android | Tools) but the barcode scanner doesnt find the address and when I type the name in the market search field, it also doesnt come up.Is there another market I dont know about?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone find a way to delete the market search yet? I have tried everything and still not found a way. And cannot find a mod from the market to do it yet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe title basically says it, there are a handful of apps that I can not figure out how to re-download through App Brain or directly through the Market after installing the 2.2 update. And a few others, but those are the ones I paid for and would like to have now.Are these not compatible with Froyo? Or does anyone have an explanation for why they would be showing up as not found in the Market?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was trying to upgrade from Android 2.1 to 2.2 with the following guide
Droid Den - Phone Guide: How To Install Rooted Android 2.2 On Your HTC Desire - Droid Den
Once the phone was done flashing DeFrost, with ROM manager, I restarted it. However, the phone will not boot. When powered on, all I can see if the green HTC logo against a white background.
What do i do now?
Update:
I managed to got past the HTC Logo screen where it would show a Red/Green/Yellow/Blue X and then boot into Android 2.2. I did this by clearing the storage data in the bootloader and restarting.
I would have no phone reception and is unable to get wifi connection. and would get an error message saying Process system is not responding at start up. Further, the phone keeps restarting by itself.
Also, SD card not detected and i would get horizontal line noise on the screen.
Whenever I try to upgrade my application in android market I am getting this error:"The apk must be signed with at least one certificate in common with the previous version"and I have lost my previous keystore.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy friend has an ipod. He has bought an FM transmitter for his Ipod which lets him play it through his radio by tuning into the set frequency. It worked reallywell. I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI found bug in Android 2.1 which needs to be fixed in 2.2 version. Bug is in VPN PPTP android client which is not compiled with MMPE encryption enabled , and because of that it is impossible for HTC Desire and other phones using android 2.x to connect to pptp server because this is not enabled in android pptpd by default and because of that connection fails. There is solution for this requiring that you root your phone first than replace original pptpd and ip-up-vpn files with new compiled, but this is really not solution because we need that all this works for clients "out of box"
I tested VPN server from almost all OS-es and I can connect for any regular Windows PC (Vista, Windows 7 and XP) , from Mac-OS and even Iphone and Windows Mobile but not from my HTC Desire with Android 2.1.
Massive problems with the market im experiencing, iv had my desire for 3 weeks, and no problems at all, UNTILL NOW, whats going on?
I go to search in the market, and type in dialer, it brings up all the customisable dialer choices, if i choose ANY of them, i go to pay, and everytime i get the error message "A server error has occurred, retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" but it is only on the dialer packages.i can buy and download anything else fine,
Can someone test this out for me?
Iv reset my phone 3 times, and its the same thing evertime, WHATS GOING ON?
Also the market is running VERY SLOW on my phone.
Hey all I am having a few problems with the HTC sync program as of late. It worked fine the first time I used it but now after the update it doesn't wanna work. The error its giving me is "No Storage Card Found", and I have it on the HTC sync option, with debug on. When I turn it to disk drive the SD card shows up and I can read it. So I am assuming the card is alright. I also ran the SDK manager trying to allow me to install apps to the SD card, but I am sure if this could not be the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedTwo weeks ago, after upgrading to 2.2 on my HTC Desire I lost the Market app - clicking on the short-cut produced an error and the market app has disappeared from the list of software.
Also, I don't seem to be able to install new programmes via app marketplace websites any more. I guess this is linked to the missing market app. How can I get it back?
The strange thing is, the only way for me to get this update is to re-flash the phone with the RUU WWE 2.10.405.2 file, but as soon as i do a factory reset the market will no longer update to the new version, strange to say the least.Could everyone please list the country, firmware and market version, this may help to find a reason for this strangeness.

View 8 Replies View RelatedEverytime I try to download an app, it just stays on the "starting download" screen with the flowing bar. Nothing happens! Sometimes it says unable to download or something similar. I've updated to 2.2 on T-Mobile and dont remember ever having this problem before. It's really frustrating.
I currently cannot download anything, either via wi-fi or Mobile network.
I cannot download anything from the android market, it goes to start & then just stops & just shows starting download...what can i do to sort this...plus i keep getting a notifiication saying google talk authentication failed ( this is only just started since i changed from googlmail.com to gmai.com.
