Samsung Epic 4G : Delete Not Assigned Contacts From Google
Sep 7, 2010When I go into my contacts, I have a crap load of random contacts. I go into my contacts and click on groups, and click on Google, and I have 152 "Not assigned" contacts. People I may have just emailed once or do not need them in my phone. Is there anyway to delete these contacts from here?

Well my contact list has an entry for every person I've ever sent an email to - I literally have thousands of entries in my contact list. Can I fix this to only import my phone contacts? I have roughly 1000 Facebook "friends" but only 300 are really friends and family and the rest are mainly gaming friends for games like Mafia Wars, etc. and I don't want to sync those. I want the Facebook contacts who I personally know to show up when I use the contacts icon on the home screen. I would like to sync them but I'm afraid it will import the list and I would have to manually delete them.

I created a vcf file and was able to import the contacts gmail however now when it downloads to the phone it put all the contacts under the group namegoogle rather than phone. Is there anyway to switch the contacts to get them listed under group phone?
Also how do you save attachments from an email? I was trying to save the vcf attachment and then import it into the phone but couldnt save the attachment.

I had an evo before i got the epic, and i also had an extended battery (3000) so maybe it's just coming from that to a stock battery, but i still can't help but to wonder if this phone just dies so much more quickly because of some other reason.

I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?

Nov 14, 2010My Epic 4G just lost all connection to the internet about an hour ago. Out of the blue, so to speak. I was browsing, set it down, then when I used it again it wouldn't connect. My browser, facebook, and any other connection required apps throw error messages saying - "connection error", "no connection". I've reset the phone several times, and as far as for the network settings, everything looks set the way it always is. I have done nothing to the network settings/options to have accidentally messed it up myself. I am connected via 3G, and this network problem is new to me. This phone has been nothing but constant problems and this is the newest one in a long list.

On the browser I pressed Menu, More, and deleted all browsing history, data, cache etc. So when I checked in history there wasn't any websites listed. BUT when in the browser you click on the back button, you still can get to the previously seen sites. So how can you totally delete your browsing history?

Aug 31, 2010SO I sinstalled the CM 6.0.0 rom to check it out. I downloaded some apps and fiddled with some settings to see if I liked it, but decided to do a wipe before using it "for real". Unfortunately, I can't get it back to a clean install because it insists on restoring all of my previous settings and applications. Even ones I've uninstalled and gotten refunds for, no matter what settings I put in the Privacy section about backing up and restoring.

Sep 28, 2012my Android phone (LG P970). The story is the phone is working as much as I can call and text but the system is not stable. It's freezing a lot and then it's trying to reboot but after every rebooting my phone freeze on LG logo... the only way to run it again is taking out the battery and then system is starting ok but it's loading with all settings and data from few days ago... I have try to flash it with Smartflash tool... whole process whas without any error then phone rebooted automaticly and I find out that after rebooting my p970 sterted with the same old and notstable rom with all the call list and messeges from few days ago.. then I tryed to do the emergency recovery of my phone with LG software. Application asked me to type the model and S/N of my phone so I did that and again the whole process of recovery was ok (with no errors)... Then the phone rebooted on the end which is normal and again started with no effect of recovery.. it was the same ZEUS 7 rom, not stable and with all the data and settings from few days ago... I decided to use Titanium Backup to uninstall all the apps and I was trying to instal ROM MANAGER and run the recovery mode but in the middle of my work the phone freez again and then rebooted and then again freeze on LG logo... I took out the battery and again turned it on and when the system was loaded I find out that all the programs which I have deleted with TITANIUM BACKUP was restored somehow... EVERY time I try to restart in normal mode, reboot in recovery mode or even after flashing system is restarting automaticaly, it freeze on LG logo and the only way to run it again is to take out this battery... then system restoring all data and settings for some reason. maybe some of you know whot software i should use to do the FULL WIPE and get rid of the old borken system?

Sep 25, 2010I had to reset my phone to solve a GPS crashing problem. Prior to the reset, I had successfully installed Ryan's one-click lag fix, and my phone was a demon.After the reset, I noticed the SU was left behind, and when I did Ryan's rooting step, it told me the phone was already rooted and that the lag fix was unavailable. When I click on lag fix it tells me a lag fix is already installed and reports this file: (/system/bin/playlogos1 less than 5kb). But I cannot find this file.
Do I have to reformat the internal memory and, if so, how do I do that? Does reformatting complicate restoring the phone again?
