whats the size that you should have a picture optimally to use as a wallpaper on the Captivate? i tried using some pics that were 480x800, but they didnt quite look AS good when scrolling through different screens via LauncherPro....

since the Nexus One has more screens then other Androids... does it require a bigger size picture for the wallpaper? or it automatically fits whatever size picture you transfer into your SD card?

This is the 2nd phone I've had because the other one was having "seizure like activity" and this is the new one I got yesterday and it STILL WILL NOT send picture messages. View 18 Replies View RelatedAs title - having tried everything I could find already suggested, I've completely run out of options. I'm unable to set the picture size taken by the camera on the Samsung Galaxy.
I don't set preview size anywhere and I've tried the ShutterCallback trick. On checking the camera parameters before and after attempting to change the size, I get the correct results - the camera *reports* that its size has now been changed... however, the size of the byte array I'm receiving in the onPictureTaken() callback is only consistent with the camera's default (enormous) image - and forces an OutOfMemoryError when I attempt to decode it into a bitmap!

No matter what I do I cannot make the final camera image be smaller than the gigantic 5MP which effectively crashes the poor old BitmapFactory.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?

HELP? I have tried stretching the crop box as far as it will go, but that is only 50%at best. i also have tried NOT tapping anything on the screen other than save but it still crops it.

1)Has anyone found a way to change which picture is displayed for a linked contact? On the HTC Aria, you could choose whether you wanted the picture from Gmail or the one from Facebook.
2)Has anyone found a way to change the displayed name in Contacts. Again, on the HTC Aria, you could pick whether to display the name from your Gmail contact or the one from the Facebook contact.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!
