View 5 RepliesHas there been an apk released yet, or is there anyway yet to get the luminescence live wallpaper on other android phones? I saw it on a hands on video, and it looks pretty sweet. I'd love to have it on my EVO. Let me know!

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone know where I can download the .apk for Thunderstorm Live Wallpaper? I think it has to be sideloaded on the Captivate.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere's an update.zip for a port of the Galaxy-S live wallpapers here. That contains all the live wallpapers included on the international Galaxy-S. The only one missing from the Captivate is "Ocean Wave". Can someone more familiar with this sort of thing modify that zip to only include "Ocean Wave" as I don't want to risk my other Live Wallpapers. Or does anybody know a different way to get it on the Captivate? (I tried using ADB to just install the .apk for Ocean Wave, and got a force close when I ran it, so that was no good.)
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am pulling out my hair trying to figure out what to do to get my Live Wallpaper to show up on the Android Market for a Moto Droid with the 2.1 OTA update. It shows up and downloads just fine on Nexus One.I can only think that it has something to do with the AndroidManifest.xml file contents. I tried all combinations for <supports-screens> including not having it at all. I tried including/ excluding the <uses-feature android:name="android.software.live_wallpaper" />.I don't like releasing my app over and over trying to debug this.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt seems like every time I reboot my phone, the live wallpaper is changed back to the last static wallpaper I have used.Does anyone else have this problems?
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any live wallpaper i can put on my BH2?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm copying this from another post because I don't want it to get buried. This is for everyone out there having trouble getting Live Wallpapers to work on their Moment. I give FULL credit to the other posters.*6/30 EDIT! - The new links are now working properly! -This post is assuming you already have the 2.1 update-Files Used:
CCLeaner
OLD CL14 SAMSUNG INSTALLER
New Recovery File
Live Wallpaper ZIP
-Follow EXACTLY. Don't deviate-
1) Go to Control Panel. Remove EVERYTHING Samsung from your Add/Remove section. This will remove all of the drivers etc.
2) Go to your Program Files (x86 if needed) section under 'My Computer'. Delete the 'Samsung Electronics' folder.
3) If you have CCLeaner and are comfortable using the Registry tool, clean your registry of anything Samsung. This will ensure that your new install doesn't use the old stuff.
4) RESTART
5) Install the OLD CL14 SAMSUNG INSTALLER onto your PC. This is important as the NEW installer won't use non-signed packages.
6) RESTART
7) Download the new Recovery and KEEP IT IN ITS DOWNLOADED FORMAT. Take off the MD5 at the end of the file so it ends in TAR.
8) Go back to the Samsung Electronics folder (that you would've deleted earlier) and head to SWUpgradeModelsBinary. Remove the file inside, probably called "SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar". Delete it, move it - whatever.
9) Copy the Recovery file you just downloaded into that folder. DO NOT EXTRACT IT.
10) TURN OFF YOUR PHONE and remove the battery for about 10 seconds. Replace battery. DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON.
11) HOLD 'VolDown+Camera+End'. A DOWNLOADING screen should appear.
12) Start the SWUpdate that should be on your desktop. Otherwise, it's back in the Samsung Electronics folder from earlier.
13) FOLLOW THE ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I can't stress that enough...
14) After it applies the Recovery file (which is why you placed it in the Binary folder), RESTART YOUR PHONE.
15) Copy the Live Wallpaper ZIP file to your SDCard. DO NOT put it into a folder. Just copy it to the root of the card (meaning it's by itself and not in a folder). DO NOT EXTRACT.
16) POWER OFF YOUR PHONE
17) HOLD 'VolDown+Call(Green)+End(Red)'. This will put you into Recovery Mode. Using the VolUp/VolDown keys, scroll to 'Apply Update.zip' and press the center key. Select the Zip File you just copied to your SDCard. After it processes, RESTART YOUR PHONE.
18) BOOYA! After your phone boots up, you should be able to hit Menu then Wallpapers and you should see Live Wallpapers as a heading. This doesn't ROOT your phone, only adds Live Wallpapers to your Moment. If you want to run CUSTOM Live's, you'll need to ROOT your phone. After the zip is applied, you can delete it from your SDCard.
Anyone have a suggestion for a good looking galaxy wallpaper? Live or still?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI installed Live Wallpaper. Regardless of all the posts saying it doesnt drain the battery too bad, my brain refuses to accept it. Im trying to remove it, but I have no clue how.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI think this would be really nice while being useful. I did a search in the market but only about nine results come up. I would pay for a HTC sense weather like widget that was actually a live wallpaper.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone know if this wallpaper that i had seen on a video on youtube is only available to the Galaxy S? I would like to add it to my growing collection of live wallpapers on my Desire but cannot seem to find it on the market.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHow do I get this to download on my T-Mobile Vibrant? I tried scanning it already, but when it went to the Market Place for me to download it said that there where not matches.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my incredible set to use the live wallpaper "water". When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper. Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?
View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes using "Live Wallpaper" use battery life more than fixed wallpaper. If so is the drain anything significant?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSome phones seem to not have livewallpaperpicker.apk.Is there an API I can call from inside the app to set the live wallpaper to itself ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an ap? Maybe a website that supports mobile phones? Sprint has a bunch of channels that stream directly to their Droid, but I assume AT&T will never allow that without paying for freakin uverse...I don't want to use it all the time, but getting ESPN and a few other channels that might have sports would be handy.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to add more wallpapers to my Desire that will fit the whole screen without me having to crop or stretch.I have had a look on android market for wallpaper but i can only find live wall paper.Anyone know where i can wallpaper for the Desire? Also am i right in saying that the screen resolution for wallpaper to fit the whole of the screen is 960+800?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi bought two samsung galaxy s and both have their own individual issues mine has the issue of turning off by itself which i found previous post about but the other one which im posting about consistently changes the background back to the default bubble blue live wallpaper, would anyone know if this is a app issue or a hardware issue with the phone becuase i wanna make sure i go back and exchange it, if thats the issue, if its something that can be fixed then please give me the solution because i really dont wanna exchange it and setup the phone all over again for my girlfriend.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have been trying to figure out how to use an image for my wallpaper, but the crop box comes up over it everytime, and it forces me to crop the picture , which makes it fuzzy and incomplete. this also happens when adding an image to a contact. HELP? I have tried stretching the crop box as far as it will go, but that is only 50%at best. i also have tried NOT tapping anything on the screen other than save but it still crops it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had the Captivate since the first day it launched and love it. It would be nice to have a central area for wallpaper sharing.
View 22 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there's anyway to disable it. It's beginning to bug me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if someone could post the "city" wallpaper that comes stock on the Captivate? Or, it may be easier if you could PM it to me. I looked everywhere and could not find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWell I like the Mario wallpaper but someone told me it consumes more battery than the bubbles one... Is this true that some live wallpapers consume more battery even if it says 2% on the battery status thing
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a Captivate on the Rogers network here in Canada and I have some questions about some weird things I've noticed.
1. Some apps don't show updates when there are updates availableI use AppBrain and when I log in it says there are updates available for the following: Street View, Maps, Movies, Vlingo Voice, and Layar.I checked the version numbers of what is installed on my phone and what's in the market and sure enough the market versions are newer. However, when I open the Market application it doesn't show those applications in the list of downloads (and so no available updates). Also, if I go to the app page for Google Maps for example it shows an Install button, not an update button or "Installed".I use these apps so I know they're installed. What's going on?Is it because they came pre-installed?Can I safely update them through AppBrain even though the Market doesn't even show them as installed?
2. I can't find the Google Car Home app.I have searched via the Market and AppBrain and can't find this app anywhere.
3. Duplicate entries under Accounts and Sync. When I go to Accounts and Sync under settings I have two Facebook entries (both the same Facebook account though) and two Twitter entries (both the same Twitter account though). If I go in to each entry they have different settings. For example, one Facebook entry has just "Sync Contacts" while the other has "SNS setting", "Sync Contacts", and "Sync Calendar".Same with the Twitter entries. Why are these duplicates here? Also, when I go in to some contacts they have duplicate linked contacts from Facebook. So I have one contact who under linked contacts shows two linked contacts, one says it's from Facebook, the other says "Unknown" but I know it's also from Facebook since it has their Facebook picture (and they only have a Facebook profile and aren't in any other service like Google or Twitter).
When I open titanium backup it prompts me to "go to phones settings, then in "applications" and tick the "unknown sources" checkbox. ok I dont have one. I tried to restore apps anyway and I got "your phone is set to block installation of applications not obtained from andriod".
