Trying to set myself up with a nice wallpaper, so I went to interfacelift.com, found an image w/ 800x480 resolution (this is correct for the Dinc, right?), and once i bring up the image in my browser, I long tap, click save image, and then it just says download unsuccessful, and nothing else. I also tried finding an option for "set as wallpaper" but couldn't find anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got my incredible and i love it, I have 2 issues with it, first is battery but you know downloading stuff all day long will tank a battery the other. I cannot put a picture on the wallpaper on my phone. If I do, it changes it to the HTC colors. I can however post any live wallpaper just not any pictures. This is become a great irritation and I am uncertain if this is a software or hardware problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnder gallery, I've tried setting wallpaper from images stored. I'm experiencing two problems:
1) When using the green border to select the part of the image I'd like, it never stretches to the full size of the image. It maxes out at about half the size of any image.
2) Once cropped after clicking set as wallpaper, the wallpaper shows way too zoomed in and I lose at least half the image I cropped.

I've tried "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it just crops it automatically. I just installed the ADW Home Launcher and I can get up to 7 screens on it... but for some reason, my phone still wants to perform as if it's running on 3 screens. So it just automatically crops it.

Also if i find that the image does not fit the screen, is there a way of getting round this?
Is there a way to have 7 different images as backgrounds/wallpaper as apposed to one large image that scrolls? I saw a TV commercial with an android phone (not sure which carrier) but as the person scrolled thru the 7 screens, there was a different background image/wallpaper on each of them. It definitely was HTC Sense UI that I saw in the commercial.
If not, is there an app that can do this?
My mobile is xolo q800, see my attachments in 100 % zoom .1st image shows a comparison between the original pic (left side) and the same pic as my phone wallpaper (right side) with no cropping and scrollable taken by default screenshot (hold vol- and power button simultaneously). i have marked the problem areas with black circles for u to compare notice the scar below the eyes appears smudged in my phone...the same pic looks good without smudging when viewed with astro file manager or quickpic....but even when i set the same pic from quickpic(no smudging in quickpic app) as the wallpaper....the wallpaper looks smudged again.

Anyone know where the moments wallpaper gallery images are stored? I can't find em on the SDCard. I'm also trying to add my own custom images that I've put on the card and every time I set them as my wallpaper they seem soooo zoomed in? I have my incredible set to use the live wallpaper "water". When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper.Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?

This is a really weird issue. I'm trying to download images from DeviantArt to use for wallpapers and the like on my HTC Desire but they seem to be quality controlled on the download. For example, if I download an image on PC which is 700k and then download the same image on my phone it comes in at 80k and there's noticable artifacts. I've tried two browsers (the default one and SkyFire) and it's doing the same thing in both.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using HTC One V (Android 4.0). And as in other phones, when using default HTC Sense launcher, I am unable to set any random image as wallpaper without cropping. One V comes with screen resolution of 480x800 and I downloaded few wallpapers with this specific resolution. But HTC still forces me to crop almost half of image which is irksome.
It sets full image as wallpaper but when I move to right or left for alternate desktops, I get thick black edge. I even selected "Scroll" but still same problem. With no scroll, it goes completely wrong.
Quickpic - They say, use "set as quickpic wallpaper" but this option doesn't work too. It shows a frame to crop which doesn't expand to cover entire screen and if I dont do anything frame, it set image inside frame as wallpaper.
Now I know this seems like a mind-numbingly simple thing to do, but is there a modified Gmail application out there that automatically downloads images contained in an email?I hate having to click the 'show pictures' every time I'd like to see an image..

Is it possible to download 9 patch png files from a webserver then display it as a background of a layout while keeping the information inside the file like the stretchable pixel? I have tried using a 9 patch image coming from the resource drawable directory of my project and it displays correctly...stretching only those pixels marked as stretchable but when I tried to download a 9 patch image from my web server then the application will use the downloaded 9 patch image the stretchable pixels does not take effect..i mean instead of stretching only those pixels that where marked as stretchable it stretched the whole image.

On my Hero i had different sounds set up for my text messages and my e-mails. For some reason i just can't figure out how to do it on Desire and i really hope that you can have seperate sounds. Any help would be really appreciated. <THE MAIN ISSUE>
The second thing is that to save pictures off the internet i know that you longpress and get the options. However with google images not for some reason you can't do that
The alternatives i've found are to either do the usual longpress options on either the small thumbnail in google search, but that gives a rubbish little pic =/
OR
open the image and then follow link to original page it is from, then save from there.
But both of these are a bit of a faff. So although its not a big issue i'd like to know if there is a way to save from the individual pictures if you know what i mean.
Just another thing i've thought of... because i have an orange branded Desire my music player has a rubbish link to orange music world or something by the play, and skip track buttons...
any way to get rid?
Am looking for some help have had an issue on more than 1 occasion. Here goes hopefully i will explain it clearly . When receiving .jpg files via emails i am having problems and have had from day one is i cant seem to open the images through the phone. I have a image of the Android man in green in the emails with the filename eg car.jpg have tried clicking on it to open but no joy plz plz do you know what is wrong. Xperia x10.
