I'm new to Android and am coming from an iPhone. I would love to put music on my phone and just use that as a music player, however all of my music is on iTunes. Is there any way or a program that can put music from iTunes on to the Captivate?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I got doubleTwist hoping for a nice easy sync to get all of my music from iTunes onto my phone. The problem is that I haven't purchased songs on itunes in over a year and I guess now they have something called iTunesPlus, which costs $0.30/song to upgrade to (and remove DRM) and doubleTwist can't convert my iTunes purchases to a playable format due to DRM protection. Is there another music sync service for Android that you guys would recommend that can help me actually put the music that I already paid for once on my phone? I'm not interested in giving Jobs another $182 just to listen to music I already paid for.

However I really like the way Google Listen is setup, it took a bit of getting used to thou. Theres a few podcasts that wont show up on Listen but I can easily find on Itunes. Is there a link I can grab from the Itunes site and copy it into Listen?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble transferring songs AND playlists from iTunes to my Samsung Captivate. I've tried a lot of things and every one of them just transfers over the songs from the playlist and not the actual playlist. I really like the Music Player Samsung has and I want to use that one, but nothing seems to transfer playlists to it. I've tried doubletwist (only transfers the music, not the playlists), iTunes agent, (same) dazzboard (doesn't work at all), and songbird (so buggy and slow, impossible to use... gave up) There has to be some way to get that player to work with iTunes or to import everything from iTunes and use it with the Samsung Music Player.

My captivate external speaker plays music while I'm listening to the headphones, am I missing a setting to turn this off? Shouldn't the phone's external speaker not be playing music while I'm using my headphones? Sometimes the external speaker will remain silent while my headphones are working (as I would imagine should be the case) until I receive a text message, and then the external speaker will play music along with the headphones. Anyone think this could be a problem with my device? My 30 day period expires on Sept.5 so I am wondering if I should return it for an exchange?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have an iPhone 4S and I am probably going to get a Galaxy Note 2 when it comes out for Verizon. In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.

Now i can only transfer 20 songs on itunes agent, and probably about half on ituner. I've tried ituner, itunes agent, and the twist one, none of them can get me my whole list, and i have been doing everything perfect.

I installed 2.2 a day or two ago (also wiped the phone to start fresh) downloaded isyncr today to put some music on the phone and every time i open isyncr i get a force close window. View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to transfer some iTunes music files over to my Galaxy S2. I've done this before but can't figure what I did to make it happen again.
I'm pretty sure that last time I did this I just connected the Galaxy to the iMac using a regular USB cable which then showed up on the background of the Mac as a media device. I then just clicked on the music I wanted to transfer in iTunes and dragged that over to the device. Simple as. Now however, when I connect the phone to the Mac it doesn't show up at all. On the phone itself it says "connected as a media device" but as I say, no sign of it on the Mac. I've tried several different cables and USB ports with same result.
How to deal wit iTunes on my S4. I transferred my list of songs from my BB 9900. There was only a partial xfer. I am lost as to where to go from here
