View 1 RepliesOver the years I've been able to get my fiancee to (for the most part) comfortably use Ubuntu on my computers. Recently I got her to jump ship to the DI and so far she is loving it. My request now is, what is the EASIEST program to sync music with? (Obviously, it needs to be Linux compatible) I've never been a music/mp3 listener so I'm not real fluent on the best methods for storing/playing music. Do you keep all your music in one folder on your phone or SD card? Do you organize it via folders? Do you use the stock music player app? If you all don't mind, give me ideas on the best music management and I'll get her setup and running smoothly so she'll never look back to iPods/Windows again!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat is the best way to sync iTunes music? I've been using DoubleTwist but it is just not working these days (especially after ICS update). I sync it and sync it and Playlists never appear. So I need something else. I'm mostly concerned about a Smart Playlist I have for podcasts, which would not sync with Google Play. So frustrating dealing with Doubletwist. I have Droid Bionic.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow they are in itunes numerical order from song 1 on.. anyone know how to fix this? i've also tried other players like doubletwist and i also am syncing from itunes by dragging and dropping into mp3 folder on SD card
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love my new Android phone, and I am able to sync my songs/podcasts just fine using Easy Phone Tunes.
But I really liked that my iPod/iPhone would sync perfectly with my podcasts. If I played 15 minutes of the Dave Ramsey show on my iPhone, and then connected it to my computer, then I could continue the show on my computer. Additionally, after I connected my iPhone to the computer, I knew which podcasts to delete as it would show them as "played".
Is there a way to accomplish this with the Android phone? I am willing to give up on iTunes to make this happen. I am still using a Mac though.
I have just got a Motorola Milestone 2 and have used MotoCast to transfer my iTunes music over. I listen to a lot of radio plays in mp3 format on my iPad and Mac, as well as my Android phone. If I tell iTunes that the plays are Audiobooks and to remember the position that's no problem, they can pick up where I left off across the iPad and Mac, but I can't seem to do this in Android.
I use Poweramp on Android to listen to the plays and have experimented but can't seem to get it to sync where I last played.
I currently have an iPhone 4S and I am probably going to get a Galaxy Note 2 when it comes out for Verizon. In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to sync back information about how many times you listened to a song, to itunes on my computer. Im huge on the smart playlists, especially having my top 50 most listened to. It bothers me if I listen to a song a ton, and it doesn't climb up in the rankings.
I saw on some site that maybe using TuneWiki (which is what I already use), then linking to last.fm might enable to do this. But how? I saw something about a scrobbler that would help, but I don't get what I would do. Put a scrobbler app on the comp as last.fm is offering, or find a scrobbler app for my phone in order to sync that with itunes?
how do i put my itunes music on my phone?
View 9 Replies View Relatedbeen using it for near a couple weeks now. loving it by the way, don't know why i hadn't switched long ago. i would like your input on how to transfer my music from itunes to my android device, along with the album art and all the id3 tags and all. i've spent long periods of time over the years organizing my music in itunes with album art, artist name, track/song name, additional info and wouldn't want to go through the whole process again. i tried transferring one album by airdroid, then opening it in poweramp, but it switched out artist and album names (album name was identified as artist and vice versa) and no album art.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've done a little research on this, with no luck. Basically Does anyone know if Google is planning on, or is already working on a music management app (like iTunes). I use iTunes to sync up my iPod and manage play lists. I would LOVE to be able to use a Google product to manage play lists and sync songs to my Hero. If Google is not planning on this, is there a third party app which can be used to sync my Hero to iTunes?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI did a search and all I can find are apps. to backup itunes files. Is there an app. that allows you to download and play itunes music (that I've already payed for)from my MAC to my Android? View 2 Replies View RelatedI love the native music player that comes stock on android (via google music). I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.
I just updated to the final version of froyo yesterday, does anyone know how to sync music in itunes with it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a droid incredible running 2.2, Before the update i could only transfer 35 songs of my 70 song list from itunes. Now i can only transfer 20 songs on itunes agent, and probably about half on ituner. I've tried ituner, itunes agent, and the twist one, none of them can get me my whole list, and i have been doing everything perfect.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwindows based utility to clean up my music? I have about 15,000 files, mostly tagged, some DRM'd via itunes. But I have shit all over the place in dozens of locations. View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to transfer some iTunes music files over to my Galaxy S2. I've done this before but can't figure what I did to make it happen again.
I'm pretty sure that last time I did this I just connected the Galaxy to the iMac using a regular USB cable which then showed up on the background of the Mac as a media device. I then just clicked on the music I wanted to transfer in iTunes and dragged that over to the device. Simple as. Now however, when I connect the phone to the Mac it doesn't show up at all. On the phone itself it says "connected as a media device" but as I say, no sign of it on the Mac. I've tried several different cables and USB ports with same result.
How to deal wit iTunes on my S4. I transferred my list of songs from my BB 9900. There was only a partial xfer. I am lost as to where to go from here

I hate it when I listen to a new podcast on my phone then get back to my pc to start a new one but can't remember which ones I've listened to.
