Aug 28, 2010I have digital copies of a couple movies on itunes... Is there a way to get them to work on the phone? Whenever I try it days unsupported format.

Samsung Captivate :: DoubleTwist Sync And ITunes Plus
Aug 5, 2010So I got doubleTwist hoping for a nice easy sync to get all of my music from iTunes onto my phone. The problem is that I haven't purchased songs on itunes in over a year and I guess now they have something called iTunesPlus, which costs $0.30/song to upgrade to (and remove DRM) and doubleTwist can't convert my iTunes purchases to a playable format due to DRM protection. Is there another music sync service for Android that you guys would recommend that can help me actually put the music that I already paid for once on my phone? I'm not interested in giving Jobs another $182 just to listen to music I already paid for.

Sep 20, 2010I know I could download the ones I want using itunes and then drag and drop them into my sd card. However I really like the way Google Listen is setup, it took a bit of getting used to thou. Theres a few podcasts that wont show up on Listen but I can easily find on Itunes. Is there a link I can grab from the Itunes site and copy it into Listen?

Oct 1, 2010I'm having trouble transferring songs AND playlists from iTunes to my Samsung Captivate. I've tried a lot of things and every one of them just transfers over the songs from the playlist and not the actual playlist. I really like the Music Player Samsung has and I want to use that one, but nothing seems to transfer playlists to it. I've tried doubletwist (only transfers the music, not the playlists), iTunes agent, (same) dazzboard (doesn't work at all), and songbird (so buggy and slow, impossible to use... gave up) There has to be some way to get that player to work with iTunes or to import everything from iTunes and use it with the Samsung Music Player.

Jul 28, 2010I am a former IPhone junkie who just switched to a Captivate. I am really enjoying the Captivate/Android experience. After a first gen Iphone, a 3G and a 3GS, I found the Iphone 4 to feel a little stale. The one thing I really enjoyed about the Iphone was the ease of getting media onto the phone. All I had to do to get a movie or a tv show onto the phone was connect the phone, hit the itunes store, and voila. I have not been able to figure out how to get movies, tv, etc. onto the Captivate.

Jul 18, 2010I'm not sure if it's a bug or missing feature but I can't seem to play movies that are encoded in 5.1 sound. The Captivate will play high bitrate video fine and that is awesome, but it would be silly to expect someone to encode a movie in a high bitrate and only use a stereo track.

I was connected to 9-10 satellites, each with the number 30 next to it, yet I wasn't locking in for some reason. Jul 24, 2010This is my first andorid phone and as such i am a complete noob so please forgive my silly questions. My current issue is i am trying to use both gmail and my work email in one button(the email accounts stock app ALMOST does this but it will not allow me to use gmail labels which i must have!). Even if i could live without the labels functionality it seems the gmail app is not only my gmail email but myh contacts/calender sync and perhaps even my app ordering account? Does anyone have any ideas for combining my work email with my gmail app while not losing any gmail functionality as well as garenteeing i dont doubel download/sync with the current gmail stock app?
I also have the GPS issue that most people are haveing... are there really people who do NOT have this issue? or are those without the issue not checking? It would seem that if some people dont have this issue it must be a hardware issue? I am quite concerned with this issue... i ave tried the fixes and some work untill i reboot a couple times then i return to an unsable state(settings have not changed)
Samsung Captivate :: How Does AT&T's Data Plan Work
Aug 12, 2010So I was about to pick up a Captivate today until I spoke with the sales rep about my data plan. I am still using the 1st gen iPhone with the unlimited edge plan. He told me that there was no way for me to use the Captivate with the old plan unless I upgrade to the new ones.
I remember reading online awhile back that used the upgrade path from the 1st iPhone to any of the 3g iPhones, which makes it sound like he is BS'ing. I don't know if it still holds true for the Captivate though.

Jul 22, 2010My camera stopped working at the worst time just when I needed to take some pics at a dinner today. Has anyone encountered a "Camera Failed" message after opening the Camera application? I tried rebooting many times (at least 5-6 times) hoping it was a software glitch, but would not go away. I was testing the GPS navigation (using Google Maps) and my battery drained from 60% to 30% in 20 mins!! Does using navigation or low battery charge screw up the camera?I was sure it was a HW defect thinking I had to return the unit, but when I got home, and plugged into wall charger for a few minutes, I found that camera started working again.
