General :: How To Get Google Music Playlists Back Into ITunes
May 2, 2014I think I'm going in the reverse direction of most people here, but my lapper hard drive died and took my itunes library with it. However, I have a backup of the music and playlists to Google Music and I'm using the Music Manager software to download my library back to my new PC.
My question is this...how can I get my Google Music playlists download to my PC and then synced to my new iTunes?

I sync it and sync it and Playlists never appear. So I need something else. I'm mostly concerned about a Smart Playlist I have for podcasts, which would not sync with Google Play. So frustrating dealing with Doubletwist. I have Droid Bionic.

Jan 25, 2014I have a THL W8 and I'm using the default player that came with it. Every time I try to open the music library I get the message "Unfortunely, Music has stopped" and then the app closes. I can open playlists and play music. The problem is only with the library, and it only started about half a year after I got it. I tried restarting the phone and pressing clean cache but it still happens.

At first I was just dragging and dropping the files, which works fine, except there are no playlists. I tried salling mediasync, it copied the songs, but not any playlists. I also get about half of the songs that won't play and message "unable to play files of this type" on the phone. So, is there a streamlined way to copy playlists from itunes to the incredible without downloading 2-3 different applications?

Jul 31, 2010I was under the impression that iTunes Agent allowed the user to Sync playlists to their device from iTunes. It looks as though it's only allowing me to add music without any playlists??? Am I doing something wrong? Or missing something? So far I have had no luck with FREE programs to allow me to sync my iTunes playlist with my Evo. It's becoming very frustrating. I thought that it was going to be an easy and FAST process to sync my music but it's more of a pain in my arse! I have tried DoubleTwist which is crap. IMO, it never recognizes my device and takes hours, or at least it seems to actually sync my device, when of course it actually recognizes it. I wasn't planning on spending any money on a program but looks like I may have to since I want to keep iTunes as my media player on my laptop. This is one thing I miss about my iPhone. It was soooo simple to sync my music and playlists.

Nov 24, 2013I've come to the conclusion, after trying several different file managers, music players and playlist organisers, that it simply isn't possible to choose the order in which music will be played. I have two folders of mp3 files, both of which contain track numbers on every file, but, when I try to create a playlist, it just ignores the track numbers and plays the files in alphabetical order. I have read several files explaining how to edit the order of a playlist all of which refer to options which don't exist on my phone.
It's running android 4.1.1
This seems such a basic requirement for a music player that it seems impossible that it's been overlooked and yet that seems to be the case.

I've tried a lot of things and every one of them just transfers over the songs from the playlist and not the actual playlist. I really like the Music Player Samsung has and I want to use that one, but nothing seems to transfer playlists to it. I've tried doubletwist (only transfers the music, not the playlists), iTunes agent, (same) dazzboard (doesn't work at all), and songbird (so buggy and slow, impossible to use... gave up) There has to be some way to get that player to work with iTunes or to import everything from iTunes and use it with the Samsung Music Player.

Jelly Bean :: ISyncr And Google Play Music - Latest Playlist Missing?
Oct 7, 2013I've been using iSyncr for a few months now and overall it's pretty good. I was using it with Rocket Player, but didn't care for that player much, so I am just using the google music app for now.
The problem: All playlists sync, except for the most recent. So if I have playlists 1-5, with 5 being what I just created in iTunes and sync'd, play music will only show 1-4. Whenever I move on and create #6, then #5 will show up but 6 will be missing.. and so on.
I need to either figure out why, or find an alternative music player that doesn't have this problem and works with the iSyncr process/playlists. Rocket Player did not, but had some other things that I didn't like.

In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.

Aug 8, 2010I have tried the stock player, Doubletwist, 3cube music players and methods to get music and playlists onto my EVO. Doubletwist was the only one that worked but it is too slow! It takes almost an hour to sync 500 mb's of music to the phone! I tried itunesmywalkman and that was just as bad! The end result is I just want to be able to put my playlists from iTunes on and off my EVO and have a GOOD music app actually read and populate my playlists! I'm pretty tech savvy and I can't figure this out! BTW, i'm using an iMac and I have over 40,000 songs.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago the Music app just stopped reading playlists right. Music can see all the play lists, it just can't find any of the songs. All the files are still there, and oddly, double twist can still read the play lists fine, and get to music. Has anyone run into this, or had any ideas on what could be causing it?

I have tried an aplication called Double Twist that is SOOOO slow to sync with my existing itunes library and then when it syncs with the phone it does not put all the files on the sd card. For example i tried to sync a playlist with over 1000 songs but only got 93 on the phone, go figure! An application on the same lines as double twist would be awsome if it worked. May 3, 2010I've tried several different methods for getting one of my iTunes playlists moved to the Eris but I'm having a difficult time. I finally just dragged and dropped a bunch of music over but how do I organize that into a playlist? Do I have to do it from the Eris itself (which involves adding every single song, one by one)? I have tried mounting the SD card and creating a playlist folder under the main music folder but that doesn't seem to work. The playlist is already created on the Eris and I moved a few songs over for testing, but when the card is mounted to the PC I can't find how the playlist is stored.....am I making any sense? Sure hope so.
