I have a mac...just got samsung galaxy s4 is there a way to drag my music from itunes to some kind of folder on my mac so I can sync with android? and other things from itunes,what would I need a file transfer app? I did buy file transfer from the mac app store, is this what I need?

I currently have an iPhone 4S and I am probably going to get a Galaxy Note 2 when it comes out for Verizon. In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.
View 2 Replies View Relatedbeen using it for near a couple weeks now. loving it by the way, don't know why i hadn't switched long ago. i would like your input on how to transfer my music from itunes to my android device, along with the album art and all the id3 tags and all. i've spent long periods of time over the years organizing my music in itunes with album art, artist name, track/song name, additional info and wouldn't want to go through the whole process again. i tried transferring one album by airdroid, then opening it in poweramp, but it switched out artist and album names (album name was identified as artist and vice versa) and no album art.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to transfer some iTunes music files over to my Galaxy S2. I've done this before but can't figure what I did to make it happen again.
I'm pretty sure that last time I did this I just connected the Galaxy to the iMac using a regular USB cable which then showed up on the background of the Mac as a media device. I then just clicked on the music I wanted to transfer in iTunes and dragged that over to the device. Simple as. Now however, when I connect the phone to the Mac it doesn't show up at all. On the phone itself it says "connected as a media device" but as I say, no sign of it on the Mac. I've tried several different cables and USB ports with same result.
I desperately need an app that syncs podcasts (as well as music) between my S3 and iTunes. I hate it when I listen to a new podcast on my phone then get back to my pc to start a new one but can't remember which ones I've listened to. Is there a good app that checks off a podcast on my phone but also shows it checked off on my pc (in iTunes)?

I think I'm going in the reverse direction of most people here, but my lapper hard drive died and took my itunes library with it. However, I have a backup of the music and playlists to Google Music and I'm using the Music Manager software to download my library back to my new PC.
My question is this...how can I get my Google Music playlists download to my PC and then synced to my new iTunes?
I just got the Razr Maxx. I am a mac user, and am looking for a way to consistently and conveniently transfer my iTunes PLAYLISTS to my Razr. I know transfering the music itself will not be a problem, the issue is synching the actual play lists.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI love the native music player that comes stock on android (via google music). I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.
I am able to create and drag and drop activity successfully but the only problem I faced is if I drag the view more than about 30 times, the drag event will stop to initiate and I am unable to drag anything. What is the causes?I am using onTouch() to drag the view.

Now i can only transfer 20 songs on itunes agent, and probably about half on ituner. I've tried ituner, itunes agent, and the twist one, none of them can get me my whole list, and i have been doing everything perfect.

I installed 2.2 a day or two ago (also wiped the phone to start fresh) downloaded isyncr today to put some music on the phone and every time i open isyncr i get a force close window. I thought I was going to be able to have the playlist (such as Jazz) from my itunes also available on my droid. I have the music on my droid, but there isn't anything under playlists on my droid. Recently I got her to jump ship to the DI and so far she is loving it. My request now is, what is the EASIEST program to sync music with? (Obviously, it needs to be Linux compatible) I've never been a music/mp3 listener so I'm not real fluent on the best methods for storing/playing music.
