Oct 29, 2012I currently have an iPhone 4S and I am probably going to get a Galaxy Note 2 when it comes out for Verizon. In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.

Jan 17, 2014been using it for near a couple weeks now. loving it by the way, don't know why i hadn't switched long ago. i would like your input on how to transfer my music from itunes to my android device, along with the album art and all the id3 tags and all. i've spent long periods of time over the years organizing my music in itunes with album art, artist name, track/song name, additional info and wouldn't want to go through the whole process again. i tried transferring one album by airdroid, then opening it in poweramp, but it switched out artist and album names (album name was identified as artist and vice versa) and no album art.

(Obviously, it needs to be Linux compatible) I've never been a music/mp3 listener so I'm not real fluent on the best methods for storing/playing music. Do you keep all your music in one folder on your phone or SD card? Do you organize it via folders? Do you use the stock music player app? If you all don't mind, give me ideas on the best music management and I'll get her setup and running smoothly so she'll never look back to iPods/Windows again!!

Nov 8, 2013I love the native music player that comes stock on android (via google music). I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.

Now i can only transfer 20 songs on itunes agent, and probably about half on ituner. Dec 12, 2013I want to transfer some iTunes music files over to my Galaxy S2. I've done this before but can't figure what I did to make it happen again.
I'm pretty sure that last time I did this I just connected the Galaxy to the iMac using a regular USB cable which then showed up on the background of the Mac as a media device. I then just clicked on the music I wanted to transfer in iTunes and dragged that over to the device. Simple as. Now however, when I connect the phone to the Mac it doesn't show up at all. On the phone itself it says "connected as a media device" but as I say, no sign of it on the Mac. I've tried several different cables and USB ports with same result.

Media :: AndroidSync - Sync Music Library In Droid With My ITunes
Jul 28, 2010I've been looking for ways to Sync my music library in Droid with my iTunes, but with no 100% success.
I've used doubleTwist but it seems to stuck most of the time and it's really slow. I've also tried iTunes Agent but it seems to skip some items, and it doesn't copy sync album art!.
So since I'm a programmer, I wrote a simple app that will do what I need. It's written in C# so it will only work in Windows.
What it does is mirror copying your local music library into your Android device. Actually, it will work with any device, but it was written for Android, so I'll leave it as it is
Requirements:
- Windows Vista / 7 (Sorry xp guys!)
- Microsoft .NET 3.0 Installed (Most likely you have it).

- Download and extract the application
- Place AndroidSync.exe in your Android storage folder (sd card).
- Run whenever lib is needed to be synced.
Notice: It might have some bugs, as I wrote it in just one hour. Please tell me about anything weird you encounter.
