I'm not sure why but I just got this phone and I keep getting random messages from a random number; (67001518): <Hotmail> Daily Makeo: DailMakeover.com - Lost Password http:/m.mail.live.com/?mkt=EN-CA&cr=34 <Reply M for more>, That is 1 of the many messages I got.Right now I have 3 messages like that and the numbers are similar, 67001516, 67001517 etc.Can anyone help me with this?

On my Droid X I can add my hotmail account just fine but it starts importing all of my emails saying they're all new. It acts like as if because all of the emails are new to it then it thinks they're new and labels them new so if I have 100 emails that are in my hotmail account none of which are new. I get 100 notifications on my phone as it imports the emails in saying "new" email.

View 32 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible since 4/28, and everything has been working smoothly up until about last Thursday night when it just restarted out of the blue while I was listening to music. Then right after it booted up, it restarted again, then again about seven more times. I got fed up and took out the SD card and it seemed to stop after that, so I haven't put the SD card back in since then.
Just now, Wednesday, about a week later, I was browsing around on the internet and all of a sudden, it restarted, and then again, and again, and again. I've read that it is because of poor signal strength or something like that so I had just enough time to put it in airplane mode before it restarted again.
Side note, that theory about it being caused by poor signal seems to make sense because the first time it happened to me I was out of town in a city that gets very bad coverage with Verizon, and now today when it started happening again was at my house where for some reason I get very bad service with the incredible, my old phone worked perfectly fine in my house but the incredible gets terrible service, and so does my brother's Droid. In fact, about two weeks ago I got my first dropped call on Verizon in about three years, and it was in my house.
So anyways, I decided to put it in airplane mode, and just after I put it in airplane mode it restarted again. Then when it booted back up my Helix Launcher 2 home screen went back to the standard Helix Launcher 2 icons, I go into my messages and everything is gone, my contacts are all gone, everything is gone. I go to the app menu and all my apps are still there, but when I start up an app, all the custom settings are default now. I went into the settings and my accounts are all still there. I click on internet and I get a terms of service agreement, it's as if I am booting it up for the first time, but for some reason my apps and accounts are all still there.
I turn airplane mode off thinking it might have something to do with it not being connected to my google account, and I restart it again and everything is still gone. I don't know what to do, has this happened to anyone before? I feel like there should be a way for me to get this stuff back since my apps are still there and my accounts are still synced, but random things are missing like my contacts and messages etc. This is really starting to get annoying, I have insurance and everything, but I really don't want to exchange it for another one because I've read that other people who have had there phones replaced have still had the same rebooting problem, even after going through multiple replacements.

Whenever I send SMS by Messaging tool and press 'enter' key (next to ., button on QWERTY virtual keyboard), the SMS will be sent out and sent twice. I am intending to input 'new line' character instead of sending it immediately.
I like to ask:
1. Is it a bug in Milestone?
2. How could I input multi-line message in the messaging window before submission?
is there any way you can mark multi emails as read on hotmail for HTC HERO dont really want to read every single email.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHe's set up his gmail and work mail on the phone just fine, but his hotmail is playing silly buggers. The gmail is through that app, the work and hotmail through the desire mail app.
Anyway - he cannot get any hotmail emails into the inbox. When you first set up the account, he gets two 'welcome' mails - the kind you get when you set up the mail account online, welcoming you to your inbox. No other emails ever come through.
However - he can send from it. And it appears in his outbox online.
I looked in the syncing sections and under the exchange active sync - which works for his work - there is no hotmail. Except somehow it must sync somehow as it's sending his hotmail fine...
Is it normal that using the default e-mail app, I can only send hotmails when using Wifi?If i don't have wifi, i can still receive e-mails but not send them.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using Motorola Milestone UK version with AT & T. G Mail and Yahoo etc work fine. Data plan also work perfect wih At&T 2G. AT&T 3 G can not use with Milestone because 3 G band of AT & T is not supoerted by Milestone.
However, real problem is that when I call anybody, he always finds my voice breaks on Milestone. When I switch to speaker they find my voice perfect. I can hear their voice clearly. Any body has same problem.
Secondly, I would like to dowload "Car Home" app which is available with Droid. It is not available in Market place. When I try to see how it is intsalled in my friend's droid, it shows 0 KB. Does this app is part of Android for Verizon. When I dock the phone in Car dock, as I dont have Car home app so phone does not pop up Navigation window which is part of Car Home. I can use Google Map manually. This is not big problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I am running stock 2.2 on an unbranded Desire, with latest firmware from HTC. Sometimes when I go to my messages and say, click on messages from "John", messages from a random other contact come up. If I click back and click John again, the correct messages appear. It doesn't happen all the time (maybe once every few days?), but unless I am careful I end up sending a message to the wrong person. I have tried restarting the phone, but don't really want to factory reset for such a minor issue. Never happened under 2.1.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Hero from Sprint. Great little phone. I'm having issues with texting. Here's my scenario.I receive a text from Facebook stating someone wrote on my wall. The from id is 123456789. I then get a text from a friend George. In the list view of of my texts George's text showing under the Facebook number. When I press on the Facebook name it shows the text from Facebook then from George. If I reply it goes to Facebook not George.It also happens under different users, appears to be very random and is causing issues as I'm trying to quickly reply, forget to check who it's going to, then I text someone something I shouldn't have. Not cool.Any ideas how to fix it? I downloaded Handcent SMS as well and that is having the same issue so it appears to be a root droid issue.

This happens with my Blackberry Curve as well. Airplane mode drains the battery faster than its being charged. Has anyone else seen this? Or am i just getting lucky twice?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola has begun to behave strangely. I think they lost the battery too quickly, so I have yesterday installed Netcounter and a Task Manager to see what it may be due.
Since yesterday, it downloaded 53 MB of data, including 28 MB today. It's too much, because I have hardly used it for anything but standby. There obviously mail pops up on it, but I read them on my PC. I have not used Google Maps, Web browsing or other things.
WiFi is off, but my battery is at 50% (this morning at 7:30 am, it was at 100% - now 4 hours later it's 50%).
Last night the Milestone was warm on the backside, but not where the battery is placed, but closer to where the sender/radio is placed.
Conclusion: Some programs must be running all the time,
1 hour ago I closed all programs using Task Manager.

I looked at settings -> about phone -> battery usage:
android.process.acore: 71%
Facebook: 6%
display 5%
Android system 5%
Phone idle 4%
Cell standby 3%
Google 3%
Android os 2%
Cell Standby should be >90% since I've not using the phone today.
Any ideas? Should I erase all and restart? Or is it because I have not updated yet (still running the 2.0 version from out of the box)
I am unable to use Gtalk, gmail, Maps, Market, Email (all pre installed) using GPRS/EDGE (Vodafone Live) on my Milestone. But All of these works with Wi-Fi connection. I installed Meeboo Messanger, this is also not working with GPRS/EDGE.
I called Motorola Customer care, they are saying that I have to take a DataPlan from Vodafone and should ask Vodafone to activate all GPRS/EDGE settings on my mobile. So I took a DataPlan (200 Rs. 100 MB), Vodafone People are saying that all available setting are already activated on my cell. But I am still unable to use any of them above. Every time no network connection found error is coming.
