When I switch from my default Gmail account to see my Hotmail inbox, I often receive a message like "Get more messages, 5 messages total on server". I click it, and the little circular arrows spin round and then I get the same message. Refresh brings the same result. *Sometimes*, however, doing one of these things will actually deliver the messages.

Is there a better mail app available because when I update the email on my phone then look at my email on the PC and delete a few when I go to look at it again on my phone those emails are still there. Is it just hotmail or is there a better app?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past two days I've been having trouble getting email in K-9. My main email account is Hotmail. I know when I set up K-9 it said that Hotmail might not work but it's worked flawlessly for a couple weeks now. Then, all of a sudden yesterday it stopped picking up emails. I have it set to poll every 15 minutes but even when I manually try to check for mail it finds nothing. I power cycled last night and that resolved it temporarily but now the issue has returned.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have checked my hotmail messages through the phone and deleted messages, however when I log into hotmail on my computer the deleted messages are still showing in my inbox as new messages.How do you get it so that if they are deleted from hotmail on your phone they are gone for good with no need to delete them again once logged in elsewhere.

Sometimes the messages I get on my phone also come to my computer after I check them on the phone, and others do not. Is there a way to make sure they are not deleted from the gmail server after they are received on the phone so I can also get them at home? It is odd that sometimes they come through but not always.

I know I can set up the Eris to poll foor hotmail but I have a question.Will email run smoother if I just forward my hotmail account to my Gmail? And if I set up my gmail through the internet UI to "Reply As" my hotmail account, will it also set that as my reply as when I reply via my Eris?

This doesn't happen to all emails and I haven't been able to locate a common reason (i.e. HTML email, has attachments, Rich Text formated, etc).I'm not sure if this is just related to the Eris or the Android Mail app.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo for the past 2 days I've been getting a server error when trying to load "My Downloads" in the Market (Eris 1.5). Nothing loads and I get a popup that says: "Attention, A server error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." It's also fairly intermittent, sometimes I get this error, sometimes not. I've not seen this before yesterday.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery message I send from Gmail on my phone (HTC One S) shows up twice when I log into Gmail from an Internet Browser. I read this: [URL] which explains that I need to set my SENT messages to not be saved on the server (so that it shows up only in the IMAP/SENT folder, and not that folder plus the GMAIL/SENT folder).
But I don't see any settings in the mail app to do that. I even looked in the Gmail app, and didn't see them either. I am using IMAP and the default mail app on the HTC.
I switched to the Gmail app and though the settings don't exist to save (or not) on the server, when I send from this app I don't get duplicate sent emails.
Question.. Am I able to import my work email account(Microsoft Exchange) with GMAIL to avoid paying extra fees through verizon to enable this through my phone?

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA I have discovered (to my frustration) that the email I have been deleting from my Eris is being permanently deleted from my Yahoo Plus account. I have searched here and all over trying to see if there is new settings or what but can't find anything to include the "don't delete from server" setting for the account.
With my other yahoo accounts (free) I didn't have the option to keep them on the server and accepted that as it was a struggle to get the free accounts up early on.

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem.. When I was with T-mobile I had a Samsung Gravity.. (Great Phone). But decided to go with Verizon and get a Droid Eris. Well heres the question. When i receive my picture messages with animation it wont play all i get is a download button.. I click on the download button and all i get to see is the picture i click on view and it wont do the animation or anything.. is there any app i can get to make it animate and play the music like my old gravity did..

View 10 Replies View RelatedSometimes with my Eris when I try to type a text message or make a phone call, nothing shows up. I can press the letters and see the auto-correct as if its typing, but on the message bar, there are no words being typed. For making a call I can type in numbers, but when I press call, nothing happens, whenever this happens I have to wait a few minutes before it starts to register the typing again and sometimes i have to restart my phone all together. Is this happening to anybody else? And, if so, does anybody have a fix?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question. I recently downloaded Handcent to try it out and one day out of nowhere, MMS messages won't download. I click the download button an retry and it fails after about a second. I uninstalled Handcent, dialed *228 to reprogram, and sometimes it works, but often it doesn't. Sometimes, I'll even get an MMS from one person, but the message appears in a different thread, still not being able to Download. I searched for the problem and came across this being common for the Hero, but I'm not sure if its related to my Eris. Anyone with an Eris have experience with this? Or tips? I want to stay away from a Hard Reset, but will try it if I can sync my contacts.
