very strange... When I take pictures from my camera and view them from my camera app it looks fine. But when I open my gallery and try to view my pictures they come out all blurred. Can someone help me out?

I'm not sure how to explain this. If I take a picture with my camera, it looks great on my phone. Colors are deep and full and the sharpness is fine. However, when I mail it to myself or try to access it from my computer, the colors look washed out and flat. It's not really a blown highlight problem and I'm shooting at 8MP. Here's an example:

I hated the pictures I took on my Droid 1. The quality was poor at best. Especially inside. I've taken a few with the DX using Vignette and they are pretty good.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am hard to impress and this device really impresses me. No bugs or issues yet that I haven't been able to fix. Camera works great. Screen is beautiful. Everything is solid. Call quality is great. Signal is rock solid (better, in fact, than my old LG, which was itself good). GPS is crazy accurate (can tell which couch I'm sitting on within the same room).
Motorola, Google, and Verizon is a team that's hard to match if the owner is ready to invest the time in setting up the device properly.
Is it possible that someone could create an App for the Camera to improve picture quality? Is it even possible to improve things like Shutter speed, blurriness, grain in picture and ISO through an App?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been rooted for a long time and I've always remembered terrible photos, I mean absolutely terrible with this phone and I've been fine with it. A couple days ago my cousin and I finally got to sit down and root his phone, he was at 2.1 and I now have him at 2.2 with BB. Yesterday he asked me about the camera quality diminishing and if it was a common effect of rooting and I didn't believe it was. So anyway, does anyone have any experience with the camera losing quality after root? Like I was saying, I've always thought mine was shitty and I just lived with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am extremely happy with my DX. My only complaint is the quality of the camera in low light. Every picture I take looks grainy. At times the flash washes everything out. I know it's just a camera and I shouldn't expect much, but for such a great device that does everything else, it's a bit of a bummer. I've been looking at low light photos from the SF and they appear to be worlds apart. Does anyone have any hints to get decent looking photos in low light?

I have the updated gallery now for my Droid and I see the new folders, but the folder which had all the pictures I took with my phone's camera is now gone. If I go into the camera, I can see the pictures that way, but there used to be a "Camera" folder in the Gallery.

Why does this happen? Why the hell can't I enjoy the 100% good quality HD wallpapers that I download? Every time I set one it instantly loses quality.
When I use my camera, camcorder, or just open up picture gallery or vid my phone will just restart, no clue why. I told tmobile that and she said it could be my SIM so I get a new one and that doesn't help. I'm about ready to call them and get a new one through my warranty.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
I want to do an image gallery like in iphone. I want to show low quality (pre-resized) images and when the image is active I want to process the big image and show the result in the gallery. I have two questions. How to attach a listener on the animation stop in gallery? And how to access an image after this action?

A lot of people are stating that they are losing root when updating one of Pete's roms. I have loaded about all of them and haven't noticed I lost anything. I do have to reinstall busybox everytime though.. is this what people are referring to when they say "root"? Or am I missing something that I should probably go back and fix?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have juicedefender and I enable that at work to shut off my data for 50 minutes out of every hour. I disable the app when I return home so I can always be receiving data.
With that said, I will be texting my girlfriend, shut my screen off and the notification sound does not ring when she sends me a text. The only reason I know she sends me a text is because I will go to Gv on my laptop and see she sent me a msg.
I looked into my battery mode settings and it is setup to shut off data after 15 minutes of inactivity during non peak hours (midnight to 8am) and set to 60 mins or never for peak hours, however my phone was never inactive for that time period.
My question is, what else could be shutting my data on/off if juicedefender is disabled and my battery profile is set up correctly ( i even changed it to performance and i didnt hear the notification, yes the notification vol. is up)
i noticed that on my inc,droid 1,and now the x,doesnt happened all the time but when it does i have to reboot or just let it sit for a while. ive tried task killer, no task killer
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy and my wife's phones both lost a lot of battery life the last 3 days. The only things that I have done to both phones is update from beast 7.4 to beast 7.5 using the update.zip, Flashed to Ta's then back to 7.5 kernel using nadroid (trying to get rid of the stuck at 8oo Mhz while charging), and installed Not Call Log which just sends you back to your home screen instead of the call log after a call ends. We both unplugged around the same time 6 am this morning. She uninstalled not call log on hers for troubleshooting purposes and we went about our day. Got home around 6 tonight and they are both at 30%. With Beast 7.4 I was usually between 50-60 because of bad recption at work. Shes usually around 70-80. Before I get jumped on. We have not changed our usage habits or phone settings at all. We have had these phones since release day so we have a good idea on our phones usual battery life to usage ratio. We have had not 1 issue with either phone at all what so ever up until I updated 7.5, the android flashing between the Kernels and the app install. to bad I did them all in one sitting.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI got a new Droid (new verizon customer) last Friday. Twice now I have lost 3G downsignal only (which effectively means no data connection). To be clear, I still have the 3G signal icon on my phone, and all my apps are uploading data (according to the icon) however no data is being sent back down. I've tried waiting 10 minutes and tried going in and out of airplane mode (3G icon does come back after leaving airplane mode) however I still don't have downstream connection, only upstream.
The only way I have fixed this is to reboot the phone, which sucks. Has anyone had this issue? I'm not sure i'll be able to get a replacement (even with insurance) unless I can reproduce it in front of Verizon reps, so I'm not sure what I should do about it.
Since updating to Froyo on my Droid X, I've noticed my camera's autofocus won't work at all. I first noticed this because the barcode scanner can't read bar codes anymore because they are too blurry. I want to try a factory wipe to see if that fixes it. I just did a factory wipe 2 weeks ago and it erased all of my applications and settings and was a huge pain to reinstall everything. Is there a way to backup these apps, so I can just automatically re-download them after I do the wipe?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor those who don't know yet. The desires back cover has a camera lens protector made by very cheap plastic, that scratches very easily. When this happens, the pictures will have a "glowing", blurry, un sharp look. What I did was removing the piece of transparent plastic "lens protector" on the back cover and then used a small piece of screen protector and sticked it on the lenses. Even without it the chances you actually scratch the lens is virtually none. So now I have a hole in my back cover, but I dramatically improved my picture and video quality.
