HTC Incredible :: Saving Photos To SD Card
May 19, 2010I have the camera set to save on the SD Card. However, when I take pictures it still stores it on the device memory. Why is that? Is this a known error?

May 31, 2010When I take pictures with my camera on my Incredible, I'm finding that none of them are saving to the SD card, even though in the camera settings, I selected the option to save to "storage card".After I take a pic, I go into my photos, and I don't see it under the SD card section, it's in the phone storage part,Any help would be appreciated!

May 6, 2010I just loaded a bunch of my personal photos onto my Incredible's SD card from my Nikon D300 but all the photos are fuzzy, what am I doing wrong? Could the photos be too large since the Nikon is 12mp camera? I wanted to load one as my wallpaper but it never loaded so I'm thinking perhaps I need to crop all these photos in Photoshop before loading it.I want to use the SD card to show family photos (in a slideshow mode) to friends, and studio photography work to potential clients.Also, I was using the standard photo icon to view the photos, is there something that works better?

Jun 2, 2010I recently changed the storage location on my Incredible's camera from Phone Storage to Storage Card (i.e., my SD card). Yesterday I decided to move the previsouly taken photos "IMAG*.jpg" from the phone storage to the SD card and used the Astro app to perform this move. I made the mistake of using "move" rather than "copy-paste". Something went wrong and somehow none of the "imag*.jpg" that were previously on my phone's internal storage are neither there nor on the SD card.
Where could these files have disappeared to? Is there a "Trash" folder in Android like in Windows where these jpg files could be still hidden? Anyway to recover them? Using the search feature on Astro didn't reveal any of the newly disappeared jpg files.
Here's what I did using the Astro app:
step 1: navigated to /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA
step 2: clicked on multi and selected all the jpg files there (about 15 or so), i.e., all file names turned orange.
step 3: clicked on Edit, selected Move.
step 4: navigated to /sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA which already had a few images that I had taken since changing the default storage location in my camera.
step 5: clicked on EDIT, selected Paste.
That's when I got a message saying "unable to move" or some such error - I don't recall the exact words and I had to click ok only for the same error to appear again some 15 more times. I guess it appeared once per image.
I went back to /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA (the phone storage location) and to /sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA (SD card location) but the files aren't there in either location. Please note that I'm a noob to Android having only used Windows Mobile OS phones in the past. I appreciate any help and insight in this matter so that I don't loose files more important than some randomly taken pics.

May 2, 2014After I take a lens blur photo using the Google Camera app, I can swipe to the right to view the photo and adjust the blur. After I select "done," the photo updates with my blur options. However, when I exit the camera and view this photo using Google Photos, the lens blur options I chose are not there and it's not possible to edit the lens blur. It seems I have to open the camera and swipe right in order to see the lens blur effects.
-Can I only adjust lens blur options within the camera app itself?

if seems this is a waste of the lens blur feature. After I make adjustments to the blur and select done, that's the image that should be saved and viewable by Google Photos, Gallery, and backed up to Google+.
HTC Eris :: Saving Apps To Sd Card
Aug 6, 2010I finally was able to root my droid eris and was also able to download and install apptoSD2 on my eris and when i click on the app, it tells me i need to partition my sdcard. I selected what i want the FAT32 and the ext2 to be and hit apply and it then tells me it is done and i need to reboot it and has a button to click but it didn't work so i did it by going to power and shutting down and restarting, but nothing happens, i even went back to the app several times after trying it and it tells me the same thing each time. Is there something i am forgetting to do, or what can i do to partition my sdcard and be able to save my apps to my sd card.

Sep 15, 2010HTC Hero: Rooted with 2.1 and previously running absolutely fine but for some reason today I'm not able to save/download anything.
I tried to download a picture off the internet and it was saying there was not enough space (even though the phone memory has 122mb free thanks to Apps2SD and my SD card has over 3GB free) so I tried to email the picture from my PC, received on my phone and when I try to download the picture it says you need an SD card to do this... but the card IS being seen by the phone because my apps are running, I can access music and pictures that are on it.
I unmounted the card and then remounted it and my phone went into a loop, trying to reinitialise and couldn't do it. So I just restarted the phone and, again, all apps work but cannot save or download anything.
I'm trying to avoid wiping everything and starting from scratch but seeing as I've been meaning to move to 2.2 I think it might be an idea...
Deffo seems to just be an SD card problem, had an old MMS message, tried to save it and it wouldn't worked. Used the SaveMMS app and that brought up a long error string which basically pointed to a problem with the SD card. What confuses me though is that I can still read from it (playing music) and I just deleted a couple of pictures off it which surely constitutes editing?

Jun 25, 2009I tell you, I love this phone but I hate it. Compared to a Windows Mobile device where everything is as simple as dragging and dropping into folders, this phone gives me such headaches with its overly simplistic (and limited) processes. threads on making your own mp3 ringtone, I've got a kick-ass sampling from The Church's "Under the Milky Way" (you know the part. The synth bagpipe bridge). BUT I can only save it to the storage card. Which isn't a problem except until I get some spare cash, I can't quite swing a 16gb yet. Lots of little 512mb (don't laugh!) cards that I swap frequently (and I'd like a little sit-down with the person who designed the card slot cover to only be opened by gerbil paws). Is there a way to save my custom ringtone directly to the phone? Or will I have to stick it on every card until that glorious payday when I can get a 16gb?

HTC Desire : An Error Occurred While Saving Data To SD Card
Nov 13, 2010I have tried on 3 occasions today to update to froyo with no success. Thing is when my Desire goes to save data on my SD card I get this message; "an error occurred while saving your data to your SD card, the backup cannot be completed."
Can anyone advise me as to what to do as I can't proceed any further. By the way my Desire is sim free if this in anyway helps.
