View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very close to buying the desire from mobiles.co.uk (110 handset) and Vodafone (600 mins, unlimited texts, 1gb internet, 24 months). I have a few questions which I would be incredibly grateful if you could help me with.
1.) - How do I put my iTunes music on to the Desire?
2.) - What is the PC Software like, and do they have or plan to have a iTunes version for Android any time soon?
3.) - Can you make folders on the Desire to put photos in?
4.) - Is 1GB enough, if I have 3G on but not using does this still eat up my allowance?
5.) - Can the Androids phones get viruses if you visit unsafe websites?
6.) - And with Vodafone does your monthly bill show the websites you have visited?
I've just been doing a bit of exploring via Astro and have noticed that my photos are stored in a folder titled DCIM.Inside this folder there are a few folders and loose files.thumbnails - contains a few files but I have no idea what they are. There are 13 random photos (not in their own folder) which were in the gallery when I received the phone. An empty Camera folder - what is this for? 100 Media - A folder with all the pictures I have taken.Could somebody clarify what the .thumbnails folder and Camera folder are for? Also, can I "tidy up" this area of my phone, and would the phone still recognise and find the files? Could I create a folder which newly taken photographs will automatically be located?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've thought of starting to develop an application and one of its features is that it downloads some content (images, files, etc) and organize them into folders in accordance with site they were downloaded.
Well, the question is... How do Android organize your files? In Windows, for example, I could create some folders, one for each site, or one for each time period. But in Android, how does it work? Is there a system of folders like Windows? Or is there a totally different way to organize files?
My application has requirements to store or edit the file data in the file which is available in Raw folder. Can some one tell me how it is possible ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust noticed today all pictures in my /Camera/DCIM directory are gone, a whole 2GB+ worth. Has this happened to anyone? It hasn't moved elsewhere because I also noticed 2GB more space freed up on the internal SD card. Luckily I backed up 1.7GB+ of it recently. Just a warning for you guys to keep constant backup!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to say that I don't find Android's photo management intuitive. Having got to the bottom of how to set up folders for photos, what would be very useful would be to be able to choose which folder photos get put in as they are taken, rather than having to tinker about with a file management program later on (none of which seem to use thumbnails anyway). Am I right in thinking that there is no way to choose a folder from the inbuilt camera? Is there any other camera app that would let me do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there an app or way to keep photos organized? I use a lot of different photo apps and they seem to store things in lots of different places (some in DCIM, some in Pictures folder, some in their own folders, etc.). I know how use a file manager to move things around, but what I would really like is this:
Set up a picture folder (or just use the one that is already there). Inside that, set up folders for each of the apps I use (or no folders at all, just ALL the pictures). Then have pictures go into the correct folder as they are taken (not manually).
I have a rooted LG G2 but not any custom ROMs.

Is there a photo gallery application that allows you to move photos from one folder to another? I use a File Manager to do this, but I'm trying to help out a novice user on an Evo; the Evo Photos application doesn't seem to allow you to move photos.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there an application that will allow you to browse to a folder on your phone/SD care and view the photos inside? If it were on a linux PC I would be installing GThumb, on windows ACDSEE. I have tried Photo Burst. It crashes and I had to reset the phone. I have tried Picture Viewer but the latest version does not pan at all. The only way to do something like this with the stock viewer is to have all your photos in the root of the sdcard in folders or within download. Not really the neatest way of doing this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using stock android on the nexus 5. For one of my apps, when choosing a picture, I accidentally chose photos as the default. I was wondering how to remove this default as there is no photos app in the app list in settings. The issue with photos is this app doesn't work with it, it won't let me upload any pictures.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHere are a few shots taken using both my Epic 4G and my Evo 4G.
1) I'm not a photographer
2) I used Vignette on the Evo 4G
3) I used both the Stock camera and Vignette for the Epic
4) The Epic pictures were taken while there was more sunlight out, the Evo was more in optimum lighting.
5) Neither has been retouched in any way
I also have 720p video shot with both phones, just don't know where to upload it yet.
I created a MUSIC folder on my SD card for all my mp3s. However, the music player also picks up the voices from Sygic mobile maps which are on the root of the SD card. Can I get my Desire to ONLY look in the music folder I created and ignore everything else? Same thing happens with my photo folder.
