May 19, 2010If I rotate a photo and transfer it to computer or email or anything the rotation does not stick, only in the image gallery.

Aug 10, 2010A few days ago I had to perform a hard reset due to my phone not sending pic mails anymore. Since that hard reset, my camera has decided when it wants to save photos and when it doesn't want to save them. Has anyone had this issue happen to them? Do i need to perform another hard reset? Could it be a SD Card issue?

May 2, 2014After I take a lens blur photo using the Google Camera app, I can swipe to the right to view the photo and adjust the blur. After I select "done," the photo updates with my blur options. However, when I exit the camera and view this photo using Google Photos, the lens blur options I chose are not there and it's not possible to edit the lens blur. It seems I have to open the camera and swipe right in order to see the lens blur effects.
-Can I only adjust lens blur options within the camera app itself?

if seems this is a waste of the lens blur feature. After I make adjustments to the blur and select done, that's the image that should be saved and viewable by Google Photos, Gallery, and backed up to Google+.

Compared to a Windows Mobile device where everything is as simple as dragging and dropping into folders, this phone gives me such headaches with its overly simplistic (and limited) processes. threads on making your own mp3 ringtone, I've got a kick-ass sampling from The Church's "Under the Milky Way" (you know the part. The synth bagpipe bridge). BUT I can only save it to the storage card. Which isn't a problem except until I get some spare cash, I can't quite swing a 16gb yet. Lots of little 512mb (don't laugh!) cards that I swap frequently (and I'd like a little sit-down with the person who designed the card slot cover to only be opened by gerbil paws). Is there a way to save my custom ringtone directly to the phone? Or will I have to stick it on every card until that glorious payday when I can get a 16gb?

Sep 21, 2010My friend sent me a picture via his iphone. He simply selected send to a friend, punched in my phone number and it was sent. Thus, i'm guessing its MMS.
I cannot see the image; it gives me an "unsupported media type".
Can anyone give any advice on how I would see the sent image?
EDIT: I should add this question: Do any of you fellow android users have this same problem? Do any of you NOT have this problem?
Media :: Photos In Gallery - Out Of Order
Sep 30, 2010I have some old magazine scans on my Desire. Just updated to 2.2 and now the pages are all out of order! The covers are in the middle of them all. Even though when I look at these files on a computer they are all in the correct order. I have some photos on my phone too, they are all messed up and the phone is not sorting them by the filename it seems. Is it sorting them by the date the photo/scan/pic was created?
Anyway, my pics are a mess and I was wondering if there's a way to sort the photos by the filename given, like a computer does. Also, before I go, sometimes when I go into Gallery (or Photos as it was before) sometimes the phone seems to get stuck on creating the thumbnails for each folder, gets half way down and decides to start again, resetting all the thumbnails to blank, this can go on for ages and makes getting to any lower down folders impossible, cos the screen always scrolls up to the top when it starts re-creating the thumbnails.

Aug 27, 2010Is there a way to control the order of photos in a file? I set the order of the photos that I want, but they are reordered in the phone. I'm trying to set up a particular slideshow.
Alternatively, does anyone know what order the phone uses to display photos? Logically, it might be by date the picture was taken, but that does not seem to be the case.

I am getting a Motorola Droid on Friday and wonder if this download (assuming it works with Android 2.0) is a must-have for me. I don't know what could have caused this, as I have been using it normal ever since I got it and not messed with anything. Running stock froyo, does anyone know of this and if there is a way to fix? Jul 24, 2009I'm trying to find a way to rotate a View, or (more conveniently) an entire layout, upside down and have it stay that way. I found the rotation and animation classes in the SDK, and these come close to what I want, but at the end of the animation I want my Layout to stay rotated; repeating the animation or just flipping back right- side-up doesn't help me with my app unfortunately.The only thing I can think of so far would be to find the source code for the rotate class, and override it such that the "...and then flip it back around to be right-side-up" code never happens. I'm not sure exactly where I'd find the original rotate code for reference if I were to do something that extensive however.I've found references online to the full android source - is that basically what I'd be looking at downloading to be able to attempt something like this? Am I missing a simple option on the rotation that would let it just stay put after I rotate it? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Oct 24, 2009I'm trying to draw some large circles on the canvas which are partly offscreen, then use animation to rotate them in be fully visible. My circles successfully rotate in, but when they come into view they're clipped at the place that was the screen edge when they were originally drawn. Is there any way to prevent this? I guess my larger question is how can you draw elements beyond the edges of the screen and then animate them into view?

Jun 9, 2009I'm using the 1.5 SDK. I read in 1.0 that rotating the device would cause onCreate() to be called in our apps (possibly recreating the entire app?). Is there a way to test rotating the device in the emulator? I just want to see what happens, I don't have a device to test this. Will the behavior be the same for 1.5 as it was in 1.0?
